If Nikon is serious about making a Nikon D500 successor - They should release a 20 megapixel cropped stacked sensor of the z8/z9 with the expeed 7 processor, IBIS and all the AF goodies of the z8/z9. Heck with the lower amount of data transfer they should be able to crank the speed and provide a buffer less burst rate. 6K video with no limits. With the economies of scale Nikon should be able to push the prices point to around $2100. With this line up they would have upgrade paths for their two greatest DSLR cameras: D850 --> Z8, D500 --> Z50 mk II. Come on Nikon - you did it with the Z8 now we need the same thing with the Z50. Lets go!

IBIS, much improved autofocus, focus stacking( its only firmware & the Z50 is the only body without it),more versitale screen, USBC power delivery.

- Use the same battery EN EL15!!! It's easier when you have other Nikon cameras.

1. Expeed 7 AF 2. IBIS 3. 4K@60p uncropped in 10 bit 4:2:0. That it for me from Nikon side. From Sigma, Tamron and Viltrox more of their APS-C lenses that allready exists for the Sony E-mount.

i have the z6iii and im presently running on nikon and viltrox glass , i really wanna see a good apsc body cause viltrox makes amazing apsc glass forthe z mount but we dont have a cam to make good use of it

Cameras are not selling in the same volumes as the old DSLRs these days - everyone are using phones for photography. Nikon probably does not have enough volume to have a big range of cameras and have focussed on high profit margin models, i.e. full frame prosumer and pro cameras. Sooner or later, they will need to have higher spec DX cameras. They have not replaced the D7500 or D500 yet. Z30 and Z50 are rough equivalents of the D3xxx and D5xxx DSLRs. So maybe there is no need to be too excited about a Z50 II. We should probably be more excited if they came out with a Z70.
