So I lock my new Makitas but would recomend skil to anyone
Hasn't this saw been out for well over a year? But yeah, SKIL seems to be raising the bar as far as quality, selection of tools and performance goes. I have some of the PWRCore 20V Tools i bought a few years ago which was really my first foray into power tools in general and the drill and impact i owned were decent quality, though the circular saw i bought was just really cheaply made and i didn't even feel safe using it, but it was like $50 or something on sale so you get what you pay for. Their newer stuff seems to be pretty nice though and they have some good stuff in their 12V lineup as well. The TTC tested the 12V right angle impact driver against Milwaukee's 12V and 18V models as well as Makita and it destroyed both in terms of power and it was significantly cheaper than the competition. One other thing that gets a lot of people confused is that SKIL and SKILSAW are basically two different brands. SKIL is the cheaper stuff and SKILSAW sells the high end stuff. I'm sure you already know this Clint, but i just figured i'd put that out there.
Great saw I use it since Menards Bring it to store I pay 250$ with is perfect for saw two batteries and dual charger. Only question I got with rip fence is the best for this specific model
I've never seen a saw throw out that much sawdust like that before. I would like to see a vacuum hooked up and just see how much sawdust is left over.💯👍🇺🇸
What about miter/compound miter cuts. Those are the cuts that some saws get hung up with the guard not retracting. Usually straight 90⁰ and straight 90⁰ bevel cuts aren't a big problem.
I'd love the blade on the left-hand side, makes more since for right-handed people or here to me at least. Man for $231.57 you can't go wrong with 2 -20v bat-rays @ 5AH is an incredible deal with charger & bag to top it off so thanks for that, it really nice!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay, first…let me say, there’s a reason you have nearly a quarter of a million subscribers. Hilarious AND, comprehensive!! I’m with the corded crowed for the noted reasons BUT, I like this saw!! For 250 WITH both batteries and the charger…why would anyone say NO! Now, get out of my truck!😁👊🏻🤣
Hey so I need some feedback. I'm heavily invested in Milwaukee but from what research I've done, none of their saws are really that great. I'm a stickler for getting the right tools for whatever job I'm doing, so it's important I buy a good saw. Im going to be getting into a lot of wood projects soon, so I'm really considering this saw because of quality and price. I'd like to get a track kit to turn it into a track saw. @@ToolReviewZone Is it really worth the price difference between that and the Skil? The Skil is $250, that Dewalt is $450. I mean I'll pay that if it really is worth it

I don't think there will ever be a Skilsaw based version of this one. They already got the only cordless wormdrive in the market and it's got more torque than any rear handle saw. Not sure about cordless circular saws bigger than 7 1/4, but I guess their torque needs are way too much for any battery less than 8Ah. I could be wrong, though
