    I have just ordered some of these for my ebike because I have heart disease so getting a puncher when I'm out and about on the ebike is a big worry it has happened to me in the past but thankfully I was close to home so looking forward to the new one's coming just for peace of mind 👍👊✌️

      You won't regret it, they're excellent. They're very hard to fit though, maybe pay a mechanic to do it?

    I’m still loving these tires, smoother ride, more stable and much thicker carcass should give greater puncture protection.

      Thanks private
      I got a hole on my side wall and the summer heat is getting to my marathon tire just the one for regular bicycles
      So I’m getting the e plus marathons only for the back
      Super excited!!!
      I am car free so I depend on my e-bikes

      Ive got Schwalbe Big Bens 50-584 and I must say about one irritating thing about it. It's surface is shaped like grater, yours too but only on side thread. It's noisy, micro vibrates, difficult to brake especially on cold wet roads. Why is it made like this? Are there any benefits? Be cautious while leaning on twisted roads.

      @@marianmariuszb Thanks for the heads up on the shoulder treads. So far the Marathon E-Plus tires are so vastly superior to what came on my bike that I still love them and have ZERO regrets!

      They're good, very hard wearing, but the marathon plus are better for puncture resistance.

    Can confirm, the e-plus with a slime inner tube is a winning combo! never had to take the tire off my ebike after the original install-

    One thing I will say about these tyres is that they are very stiff & hard to mount on your wheel. If you're not confident or experienced get a mechanic to fit them. However, they're the best ebike commuting tyres you can buy: the original marathon plus were a no-brainer imo & these are even better.

    I am going to put these on my new hybrid EMTB which has 29" rims. There are 2 widths, 2.0 and 2.15. I am going for 2.15 as my current tyres (Schwalbe Smart Sam) are 2.6. I want a more road orientated tyre as I am commuting 18 miles a day on tarmac.

    Somehow Schwalbe sells their tyres way more expensive in the US than in Europe. This Marathon E-plus is only about €30( US$33) in European bike store.
    Schwalbe makes some excellent commuting bike tyres. Haven't had a single puncture in last 15 years using Marathon Plus. And I ride 150Km a week going to work.

      Thanks for sharing your experience with the Schwalbe Marathon Plus, it makes me feel a little better about the high cost of the tires here in the US. I think part of the high price is because 27.5 x 2.35" size tires are abundant here in the US with mountain bike tread patterns, but difficult to locate with a touring/commuter type tread pattern.

      Which European bike store? They are around 45 euros here in France.

    Looks like these come in 27.5x2 vs 27.5x2.35 on the CST original tyres. Did you notice any great difference dropping down in size?

    • @Koolbob2
      @Koolbob2  7 месяцев назад

      I find that the Marathons ride much better, the stiffer construction means I can ride with lower air pressure and achieve the same rolling resistance but with a smoother ride. The Marathons corner much better also. I liked the CSTs until I got the Marathons, looking back the beige sidewalls and width of the CSTs made them look like cruiser tires the Marathons look more like gravel bike tires. I have more confidence on the Marathons than the CSTs.

    1:25 close. The 'e' at the end is not pronounced like 'ee' but 'eh'. You can also shorten it sorta like 'uh'

    Using schwalbe hurricanes on my bike.. 35 dollars a tire!

    • @Koolbob2
      @Koolbob2  5 месяцев назад +1

      These are my first Schwalbe tires and I really like them. The Hurricanes are a good looking tire, but I don't need the knobby shoulders for my riding. Plus I like that the E-Plus tires feel like a hybrid between a traditional bicycle tire and a motorcycle tire so I expect them to last for many years.

    but are these E-bike Plus tires from the Marathon line, really a good match for the traditional 20X4 Fat Tire Ebikes you see like:
    ruclips.net/video/3JSw1hyzvek/видео.html
    They say they're rated for heavier weight, but why are they so much narrower looking and less beefy looking than most 20X4 Fat Tire on electric bike models?

    • @Koolbob2
      @Koolbob2  Год назад +1

      Here's the link to the Schwalbe website. www.schwalbetires.com I don't see where they make any tires for fat tire bikes.
