As much as we all knew how much trav sucks at goalie. I’m sure nobody actually thought he would run himself out of places to play this quickly.

@trav4oilers Head out to Calgary. Ill put you to work in the best beer league in southern ab, likely to get better content than your trips around the US in the FED.
I know we've talked a lot of hockey in the past... But i can assure you, if you decide sooner rather than later to trade your skates in for a "boarding pass" to focus on a travel vlog, I will be a subscriber!
Whether you realize it or not, you have a very "introspective" approach to nature, attractions, architecture and culture, which i find fascinating. I would LOVE to see your perspective on various places across Canada on a weekly basis!

No disrespect but why not just find a senior hockey team somewhere, get paid a couple bucks to play every night and actually play hockey? Your spending an obscene amount of money traveling, getting coached, etc for you not to play hockey. Local senior teams will pay someone a couple hundred bucks a game. Be someone to look up to for some local kids coming up through the sport. I dunno. Just seems like your spending a ton of money to not play hockey.

You're absolutely correct brother!
Dude, the travel stuff you did on Via was great. The filler video you do showing your locations is excellently done and well produced. You already have me interested in that side of things. You have well produced content and can make a great living doing travel stuff. I think the personality could also allow you to grow the podcast into something great as well, and keep your foot in hockey.
If nothing comes along, who cares. You played junior, which many never get to do, and you cracked pro lineups. These are great accomplishments and more than most of the haters have managed to do. You lived the dream most of the haters only wish they could have been asked to do, and you took us along for the ride to show just how hard that dream can be to be a pro level athlete.
There is a lot of beer league out there bud, and playing for the joy of it will bring back some good memories! I don't want to say you should move on from the dream, but you have shown us you have some other great talents, and i think you're about to unlock the next big thing for you, and you already have a fan base here with you!
Agreed. It wouldn't be "giving up on hockey," it would just be moving on to the next chapter.

Not a single one of us would be surprised if you ended up running the social media account for an NHL team; there are RUclips goalies of all levels (pro to beer league) and you are absolutely the most talented on the RUclips side of things.

I love your hockey videos, but your travel videos are more interesting to me.
Hope you're able to get signed for the season somewhere, but my question is, do you have a plan B in case hockey doesn't work? Do you have an age in mind as to when/if hockey isn't going as you had hoped?
Travel vlog would be a great fit for you.

I do find you annoying but I WILL BE honest.. I think it’s cool that you just plan to travel and keep doing what you’re doing and never really grow up in the sense that you go and get a career. Living freely is what so many wish they could do and never can

Trav everyday everyone has to hang up there skates, you have 100k subscribers , make that work, travel, hockey interest stories, plenty of content creator options, very few people get to be professional hockey goalies, it is ok if you got close, it is way closer than the rest of us got. Kashmir is skating in the AHL, Pat Shea is where? Being a successful RUclips guy may be your thing. And by the way all of us don’t have 100k subscribers (rarified air), sorry you lost Dave on the podcast

Hello Trav really enjoyed the video again, awesome shots of the Vancouver skyline, not too many tall buildings out here in White Rock. I am curious which NHL goalies inspired you growing up, I am a little older so mine were Ken Dryden, Tony Esposito, Glen Hall, Gump Worsley.
The buildings are sexy down here but get old quick, white rock is peaceful? Jose theodore was my guy!

Good to see you staying positive, Trav. Might be interested in your coaching offer--do you have any more information on what this entails and what is required? Competitive old timer's hockey goalies can always use some tweaking.
Mentoring from a mental perspective, we can talk hydration and diet, my experience through pro that may help you and goalie coaching breakdown. It's whatever you need help with on a case by case basis!

@@pickleballer1986there's far more qualified goalie coaches to actually hire. The advice to not use him to critique a beginners play is actually the nice thing to say.
Intentionally letting a beginner make a poor decision with his money in hiring Travis is far more sinister than a slightly mean comment.
Get some footage together and a game plan and I'll mentor you!
