- Ever wonder what it takes to open a small business in Thailand? Want to know where to get my new favorite Korean sandwich on the island of Koh Samui? Then this video is for you!
My friends just opened up Boklee Bites, Koh Samui's newest little restaurant in Bangrak Beach town, and it's only delicious....but there's one sandwich that is addictive. I'll talk to them and hear about the ups and downs of starting a new business here, and then we'll taste the food. I'd highly recommend you find them and try a Samgyeopsal Sandwich (the Korean Pork). It's so great.

Love the video Chris, would love to see more like this. I once had a coffee empire in American, would love to do the same in Thailand. But the rules and regulations can be daunting being a foreigner! Would like to see more information on how they delt with rules imposed on foreigners owning a business. Always enjoy your videos mate.

The location of their restaurant is wonderful , it is right by 7-11! (If the chairs are more comfortable it will be perfect.)

I love a bulgogi sandwich with a soup dish or a short rib kalbi with japchae noodles dish or rice and kimchi. Good combo for a lunch or dinner combo. Love that ambiance in that restaurant. Gorgeous 😍

Hope this restaurant open in Korea! It looks so delicious and we don't have this kind of style sandwich shop enough.
Chris you forgot the most important part. No mention of having to have a Thai citizen own half the business? Or monthly payment to a local mafia type organization like in pattaya. I have seen many interviews on other channels that mention these things. I hope they found a trustworthy business partner.
I was also wondering about this.. is there a legit way to not have a 51% Thai ownership of a business, or do they have a Thai partner. How did they do it?

Das ist ein wunderschoenes kleines Restaurant,fehlte richtig hier! Die Besitzer sind unglaublich freundlich und zauberhaft, soooo bemueht um jeden Gast und das Essen ist koestlich.Wenn sie Lust auf ein bisschen deutschen Weihnachtsgeschmackhaben probieren sie den Stollen,der schmeckt richtig wie in Leibzig.Wuensche einen guten Appetit

😂 I literally saw this shop when I stayed at the U Samui accross the street but was so overwhelming with all of the food choices around me…next time I’ll be sure to patronize it when I’m next in Samui ❤

gotta say I love these videos, not sure why they are so wholesome and entertaining. I didn't think I would go back to Thailand but after watching many of your videos I am now determined to come even with the price of flights as they are.
It is definitely a challenge to open a business, in Thailand or anywhere! Property values (incl. rent) are inflated and costs for quality restaurant appliances are also high! It would be interesting to hear how much was invested into opening this business!
Looks delicious and they looks like a lovely hip couple. It's a little disappointing to see that the prices are the same as in Canada. $12 cad for the bowl. Thailand has changed

I've never had a Korean sandwich before but I did cook beef an pork bulgogi today an ate it with rice. Looking forward to trying one of those sandwiches soon.

I am almost positive they have to have a Thai citizen that owns %51 of business. Lot of bad stories about guys investing money in bars to own a business then get kicked out.

Same here in Northern Virginia. We’ll see a sign go up that something is coming and it’s months later before it actually opens. Doesn’t matter if it’s a remodel or a new building. Unfortunately, I doubt there’s anyone helping those small business owners get started though. Currently, waiting for a new vegetarian Vietnamese restaurant to open.
