I will want to try ALL FOODS you recommend but the Black sticky rice looked intriguing! I hope to get back someday. I visited Bangkok, Chang Mai, HuaHin/Chaam & Phuket. Pai is on my list for sure! Looking forward to more of your amazing videos 🙏🏼
We just got back from Thailand a week ago and I’m still having post-vacation depression😢 Your video makes me wanna book our plane tickets to go back already🥹
I will be visiting Chiang Mai in a week. My first time there. I've been to other parts of Thailand and love the culture, the food and friendly people. Love your channel for the good info.
I always love your street food videos ! Coz I live on them whenever I visit Thailand. You should have brought your parents though. They are a joy to watch ! Especially your dad!
Hey, Chris. Alan from the UK, living in Australia. Great to meet you in Pai a few weeks ago. I made the cut, yay! I've had soooo many Hollywood agents calling me as a result.
That old musician couple have been there for years. I got my pic with them like 5 years ago. Also had some of the best ribs ever, halfway down the main street on the left. Pai is definitely a cool little spot.
I love it very much. what you eat It's a piece of dough that's grilled, black, topped with sesame seeds, sugar and condensed milk. It's called Khao Pook! 😋
Wow that is a ganja smokers heaven so many tasty and delicious muchies. The hart part would be picking which ones to try. Awesome video Chris. Always look forward to them.
The last time I was in Pai was in 1999. A small hut filled village with very few tourists. The restaurant I ate at was so good that I would just randomly choose off of the menu without reading t. Everything was amazing.
K.Cris, there are new night market will be happened at SWU (Srinakharinwirot University at Asoke, you are there often.). start from this Friday 3rd Feb, 16:00-21:00. You can check it out!! 😊
Looks good the banana porridge at the beginning looked like a Twinkie. You showed the coconut and now I can’t get the you put the lime in the coconut song out of my head
Hi Chris, after watching ur channel right from fking first video, i visited koh Samui in november 2022...i went big budha....i looked over towards moonstone...took few photos...all i got to say is u r the real deal. I lived in Canada for almost a year on a IT project... I loved canadians...i stilll have friends.
Loving this video. Working my butt off in the office today. Pretty miserable day. Catching up with your videos (with Hailee) has made my day. Thank you.
Those little girls playing instruments reminded me of something, in Pattaya or Bangkok do you have any recommendations on any places I can go to just chill and just listen to traditional music or watch some martial arts? I mean granted Im there for the party and girls but I do love to collect martials weapons and instruments from the places I go so a suggestion for the more traditional would be great
Traditional music is kinda rare I’m Thai and I don’t see much of it but usually you can find on night market in chiangmai or maybe some event on the north of Thai. 😊
@@madcat0-1 Thats too bad, I mean thats your culture it shouldnt be to the point you have to look for it. Any good suggestions to watch a muy thai fight or bar with it?
Hi Chris! Love your video's 👍 plan to visit Thai in mid Feb. can you please give me a piece of advice? Can I exchange old pounds notes in Thailand? Found that I have paper notes by 50 pounds..
"Steamed ribs" = Grilled Pork Belly. LOL. Fun video Chris. We also loved the walking street in Pai. Different selection from Chiang Mai and the South and that tea house with the clay pots served the best ginger tea.
Chris, my name is Shannon and i live in Ottawa, Canada. I am going over to Thailand in the end of May 2023 and i have watched your videos and i think that you are a Canadian. What travel insurance do you have there as i will be living there for a few years.
Was in that same food vendor street 12th-16th Dec and felt partial to a double burger, just as a change from Thai food which I truly adore. Unfortunately the buger was deplorable, perhaps the worst I've ever had and very costly at $5-6.
The thing I like about Pai is that they cater to the budget (poor young travellers) and you can get some good cheap food in small quantities. Chris do hippies still exist?
Chris, l was in Thailand recently had a bus booked to Pia from Chiang Mai and cancelled at the last minute on account of the hundreds of windy curves on the road and my impending travel sickness. It sounded like a nightmare for me Do you know how else to get to Pai other than by road ? Thanks. Love your videos. You visited the charity l produced books for near Bangkok, Themanthatrescuesdogs dogs so l am familiar with your work. Cheers from australia.
what's your favorite Northern Thai Street Food?

Sai ua, northen laab, namprik ong, kao soy, namprik num, hangley curry, nam ngiao kanom jin, yunnanese mixed egg noodles, strawbery, jin neung, pork rinds,
Even the aesthetics are all there! Colorful and fresh! Woohoo

not sure how to get there without enduring the bendy roads.
@@RetiredWorkingForYou yeah thanks chris. That’s what l thought. How horrendous was the drive ? Cheers for responding by the way?
Definitely need travel sick meds if you have a Dicky stomach.
@@denise5334 cheers for that
You should get some Dramamine. That should help with the windy roads. Also a bottle of Sprite or 7-up.
Nice!!
a lot of noodle varieties:)))
Lovely Heley, Who can't walk longer than 20 m. every stop. LOL
Great tip on 7-11 Chris, we had the same problem in Krabi in 2018 and did just the same with the trash 🗑🙏💚🙏
