This light is a nice accessory, especially if you already own Ryobi tools and rechargeable batteries. At the 1:31 marm, "Don't throw the battery in water." That prompted me to think. You will likely be fine out in light rain looking at the design of the lamp. I wonder how bad things would become if a person lost their grip while crossing a stream? Catastrophic battery failure or would you lose both parts of the system?
it in fact is not waterproof, it is a great tool in a duck boat getting around on a dark lake! one heavy rain took the light out, batteries are fine. luckily I got the warranty at depot and now have a brand new one!
This is the PCL661B Model battery only 3000 Lumens. The model you are confusing this one with is the P717MX model, Dual power 2500 Lumens. That one comes with a 12v cord or can be run of 18V battery.
