  • This compilation of sorts is a showcase of the thirty different locations I've been to over a period just shy of nine years. The clips are sorted by milepost, starting at the PITL's eastern terminus at Harrisburg and ending sixty miles westward in Lewistown, PA. Every clip is from my most recent visit at each spot, however there are a few that I haven't been to in a number of years. Only videos from after 9/30/2019 reflect my current technical standard of quality, and have been used when applicable, however a majority of the clips in this video are from before that date and thus do not meet the same standard. This video is mainly for reference purposes, and the goal is to shed light on some spots on the Pittsburgh line that don't get much love. Linked below is a Google Doc with more extensive information on each spot. This full info was intended to be used in the description, but RUclips's 5,000-character limit put somewhat of a damper on that.

Nicely done. Live in the Dauphin, PA area and have been to many of these spots chasing trains with my son.

As a Greyhound driver who used to run Harrisburg to Pittsburgh, I followed this entire line and most of our stops (Harrisburg, Tyrone, Altoona, Johnstown and Pittsburgh) are either at or very close to the Amtrak so I am familiar with the route.

    What is "PT"?

PT is the prefix that NS uses for mileposts on the Pittsburgh Line; think of it as the same thing as MP
