- Our afternoon at Ancona, although slow at first, picked up quickly near the second my father drove off to pick us up a pizza. The old sentiment rings true: that the best way to get a train to come is to leave your spot. Over the short period he was gone, I managed to catch four trains, however this video is a spotlight of the first of those, the day's eastbound local move headed by a 39 year-old GP50 still in its original Santa Fe paint, and bearing its original 1981 Leslie RS3L horn. A slice of history, 25 years nearly untouched (or 39, depending how you look at it), barring the elements and a BNSF patch under the number on the cab.

Hey Boss, what type of lens? I use my notebook to record rail activity and I want to up my game a bit. P.S. been out to Bretz lane lately?
I use a Tamron 18-400 lens, and actually, I haven't been out to Bretz in a little while.
