      Probably because they realize most of it is Black culture anyway. If we're being honest I mean, they're rapping now, bumping old school r & b in those lowriders , wearing the oversized sports jerseys, dancing like Black people, so why would they cry appropriation when it truly isn't their's anyway.

      It's similar to the Geisha tradition that is named for "Ge" which is short for Gaia another wife of Noah also called Tytea as in Thai TEA (tea originates in China) and Aishia "Asia" the granddaughter of Noah and the tradition began in China before it was later adopted by the descendants of Japheth-Nese "Japanese" the son of Noah the ancestor of the people of Japan.
      The name for the Mexican Mariachi and Marichi (one letter difference) Romanized as Marīci which means "ray of light" the son of Brahma and on the movie La Bamba when on the radio their announcing the death of Ritchie Valens and his mother Connie Valenzuela played by Rosanna DeSoto says, "not my Richie".
      The string bands such as Mariachi have been popular in Mexico since the colonial era which began in 1521 and that happens to be around the same time that people from India arrived in Mexico.

    The very sample of this song that you hear is from a black group in the 1970s called *'DELEGATION'* which consists of three BLACK MEN.
    I was born and raised with Mexicans in L.A. in the 1970s and 1980s.
    *EVERYTHING* that Chicanos do outside of eating tacos is *BLACK*
    The LA lowriding culture was originally by black Americans from Long Beach, California.
    The zoot suits that Chicano men enjoy wearing back in the 1940s and 50s was invented by black men in Harlem, NY.
    Mexican people who live in Los Angeles, California were 100% enhanced by black American culture.

We were also one of the few African-American Catholic families in the church. I was raised Catholic and most of my friends went to Catholic school, but we have a very multi racial family, which includes Cuban and I enjoyed being part of my Chicano friends families because they always treated me and my brothers like family and it was a blessing. I’ve been to Mexico, and Mexicans who are proud of their heritage/ country don’t even dress that way or do graffiti. Even the song in this video comes from a song Tupac did called “Po N!99a Blues” 😂😂😂

    • @K-EntZX
      @K-EntZX 21 день назад

      You're completely 100% wrong. Lowriders came from mexican-americans all the way from the 50s and even earlier, back then they didn't even bounce, they simply lowered the suspension a lot which is where the name Lowrider came from. The clothes and style all have origins from the pachucos during the Zoot suit era, chicanos who got imprisoned also created new styles such as the long socks, while also adopting the cortez because of the cesar cortez thing and workwear because of their humble origins in the hood.
      The reason why you don't see mexicans like that in México Is because chicano culture is looked down on over there, obviously because of the gangbanging aspect, there's also a big beef between chicanos and mexicans because of the treatment that mexicans used to get from mexican-americans in the past. Basically mexicans hate chicano culture because to them it's shameful to be associated with people who managed to get better opportunities yet still prefered the vida loca, while also hating it because of pure resentment after years of being looked down on by chicanos.
      Black people used to dress like that during the 70s-90s but to say that raza took it from them? It's the other way around, that's why during the 90s the amount of black guys in flannels and dickies dropped a little, by the 2000s they were already non existent, replacing all that attire with brands such as fubu, g-unit, southpole, crown holder, red monkey and more. Chicanos even up to this day still preserve all this because it's already a culture beyond gangbanging, african americans on the other hand simply got out of the bus after they kept developing their own style, nothing wrong with that but this? 100% raza, no dissing or anything, it's just a way of life.

      @@Carlosgto2012Afraid not, Chico, but your Zoot-suit wearing ancestors got that style, inspired from the Black gangsters from the 40s -- which was very distinct from the mob. Blacks always lead the path when it came to style in fashion and dance; and that's not a secret. Perhaps you need to learn more about our culture, instead of taking wild guesses, and shooting low-key shade. You new breed Hispanics ain't like the ones from the 90s, who would have embraced that fact.

      No - actually the whole Dickies & white Ts with the Chuck Taylor all stars was a white preppy thing way back in the 50s & in the 60s Mexicans adopted into their whole cholo Zuit Suit lifestyle, with low riders & all that - blacks started using the dress code in Cali cause that was what it was in Cali & when rap became popular NWA dressed like that cause they know what time it is - shit looks firme & the Cali blacks grew up surrounded by low riders & the Mexican culture & naturally adapted to the lifestyle - VATOS LOCOS POR VIDA esse

    A chicano is an american but with a mexican background. All chicanos should be proud of their heritage and the place where they where born as well as understand the struggle of their parents and how much the chicano culture is rooted on their mexican heritage. But dont forget u are not mexican u are an american with a great future and proud to represent both flags both countries.

    • @187reese9

      A great number of Chicanos don't claim Mexicans if anything they make fun of them, I have a homie I was chilling with and I noticed it was Cinco de Mayo I said something to him about it as if showing appreciation to celebrate it he looked at me like what the fuck you think i am I ain't no bean picker homie. I'm not Mexican I'm Chicano" and then he laughed to be really honest, I felt kind of embarrassed😮

    • @swannoir7949
      @swannoir7949 8 месяцев назад

      That makes no sense.
      So in other words, a Chicano is a Mexican-American -- but with African-American influences. The latter makes sense, because though y'all don't admit it, African is a small part of your lineage. You all dismiss the Olmecs, ignore the fact that the first president of Mexico was an ex-slave, and ignore and segregate your indigenous Black population in Mexico. Gringos look at y'all as second class citizens (pushing us to third-class status), but you new breed now act just like them, as they are now pitting you, against us, like they did the Irish and Italians, before you all became large in numbers. And y'all falling for it.

    • @tomasmendezdiaz9833
      @tomasmendezdiaz9833 8 месяцев назад

      Ok, the person that dont make sense is u.
      1st we are not decendents from black people we are decendent from indians and spaniords which are the people who enslave and conquered mexico, now we can debate which indian blood we have but that is not relevant as some mexicans have only indian blood and some only have spanish blood. Please if u are going to be ignorant dont start commenting on something u have no idea of. Beside we are not talking about black people that u can keep it in ur closet.
      2nd a person born in a country is identify from that country. What does that mean. If u took chicano studies in college which it shows that u did not is the struggle of americans born to mexican parents and finding an identity and why they feel they dont belong as mexicans or americans. But the fact remains chicano is a word that identifies and put a label on a group of people born in america with cultural, background , and mexican heritage, yet they are not mexican they are american.
      3rd anyone born in america or usa is an american so all chicanos are american not mexican. Sooo get that into ur head they are american. Now chicanos do blend both the cultural and heritage of their mexican upbringing with how they identify and how they go with their life. Yet at the end they are american.

    • @tomasmendezdiaz9833
      @tomasmendezdiaz9833 8 месяцев назад

      Again a chicano is an american with mexican parents. The label of chicano is only an appropriation in order to identify itself. What u need is to take chicano study courses since u are responding to this comment. Maybe there u will understand the beginnings of the american with mexican parents. I hope u understand the being ignorant and responding to comments that u have no idea what they are makes u dumb.
