Hi Hira, thanks very much for this video. It certainly helped me a lot in achieving a scholarship to study in the UK :) I'm now a few weeks into my PhD program and will certainly keep on watching your other videos
That's amazing news, congratulations!! And many thanks for such kind words! I hope the rest of my videos will also be quite relevant as you start your PhD, e.g. my latest one on organising research notes has some tips for students at the beginning of their programme! Good luck with everything!
Sister, I would like to thank you for your valuable tutorials on this. It has been really really helpful. Jazak Allah khair. If by Allah's will I begin my walk towards phd, I will be back for your other videos I kept on my watch lost 😅. Thanks again ❤
Hi Hira. Thank you for your highly informative videos. I am using your videos as my main source of preparation to write my personal statement for my PhD application. Info: my best friend`s name is also Hira and she is from Pakistan and doing her PhD already.
Wonderful video, thank you very much. I have a question about Research Statement for PhD position. Do we have to explain the details and challenges of the project we are applying for?
This video was very helpful but I have a question.Due to certain limitations in my school, my undergraduate research is not in anyway related to my current research interests. How do I go about this in my personal statement?
Madam ,I do some projects in my Msc.for six months , and after 3 mounths I have done some reviews on research work.can I get admission in Germany ? Is this possible .. I don't have any research work in my masters.please answer
Hi there, I can't really tell because I don't know any details of what you've done and what you want to apply to and how it's relevant etc etc. It's always worth applying and then seeing what happens or perhaps speak to a supervisor and show them your work and whether they would be interested in hiring you.
@@oxford_phd #atfirst thank you for your reply, I am pursuing my msc in chemistry, I want to apply for a chemical sciences post.can you help me ,cause I am so confused about that .
Hi hira ! Hope you will suggest me some advice.. actually I did m.phil zoology almost 5 years ago from Pakistan now I want to start again it from uk my research background was ecological and orinithology now I want to change my discipline I want to do research in biotechnology like crispr gene editing with nanotech approach to treat genetic disorders ... Me and my husband want to move on from Pakistan ... What should I do ? Means should I do enrol in master or phd ...please guide me what are chances of getting phd admissions.
Hi, if you want to change your discipline, starting with a masters might be a good idea to gain some research experience before applying for PhD. Unfortunately there aren't many scholarships available for MSc and they can be quite expensive so try to find a scholarship from Pakistan. If not you can try to find research assistant, or research technician positions and apply for that to gain research experience in your prospective field
@@oxford_phd thank you dear ... is it easy to get technician job without any experience? Or if I applied for self funded master what will be chances of getting fully funded phd in future?..
Hi Hira, it's such a blessing that I found your informative channel on youtube. Your videos are great and helped me rethink my past applications. I wonder if I can have some of your free time to help me with concerns regarding the PhD admission. For some reasons, I cannot send you a message via Twitter. Do you have any alternative way to reach? Maybe an email address is better. Thank you so much.
Hi Hira, omg you have saved my PhD application! Thank you so much for your content.

Critical video. Currently watching this video while a word file of SoP targetted for UChicago is open on behind.
Amazing! Good luck!
How relevant is desk research like a literature review project to a PhD project?
