I think the Boeing 747 may be reaching their last lap in life, even though they still have loyal customers like Luftansa, and Cargolux. She may be on her way out in a few years, but the Boeing B747 is still the most beautiful aircraft ever designed.
I agree the Boeing 747 has lots of life left to her, and she's not disappearing off the face of the earth, it's just that she won't be flagship of airlines anymore,
I have flown the past 30 years with KLM back and forth from Houston intercontinental (George Bush) airport to Amsterdam. My last flight was with united airlines. I prefer KLM over united, only united is 300 bucks cheaper per ticket. Back in the days I had better deals with KLM on this route! With student pass I had 100 bucks off until my 26th birthday with KLM! Anyway, after a long flight, I am Always happy tomsee my family again in Amsterdam.
Nice to watch your video's. Especially at Amsterdam Airport. I do work at KLM Groundservices,loading/unloading the aircrafts. Than you understand the joy to watch all things happening at a different angle than usual.
Im priveleged to b able to watch these videosv which r very entertaining. Lately ive been trying to figure out what is it that draws me so much about these vehicles. There r plenty of vehicles w lors of powr out there. Cars, boats, trains, cranes w lots of power. Its the navigation i think and the team behind them. And the fact they carry people to many places and capable of going anywhere...just need to chart path and report of course.
So, a bit of history. In 1966, then Hobby Field had become too small, so the new airport, which was to be called Jetero, was constructed east of I-45. Jetero was soon dropped and it became Houston Intercontinental, now Bush. Post construction, there was absolutely nothing surrounding the airport but cow pasture. A few years later, it was wall to wall malls and housing sub divisions. The home owners complained of the noise, thus noise abatement, which bugged me when taking off.
I think I've been to that Houston airport before (they have 2 or 3 airports I think) because that tall structure way in the background looks like the revolving restaurant.
As a Texan, I"m offended that Texan is not included in all the other languages spoken on today's passenger flights. I did not hear one ya'll, howdy, hey, or we're fixin' to take off. Deplorable.
In which software you can make the route (Amsterdam - Houston red line) visible on Earth? Like you did in the beginning? :) Is it google earth or something like that? Thanks :)
Could you tell me please the app's name you employ to recreate your trips point to point? Thank you for the information and your amazing videos. Guillermo
+fishodorvagina When Northwest Airlines merged into Delta Airlines, the NWA 747's became Delta's. The first ever 747-400, belonged to Northwest Airlines, but Delta recently retired it about a year ago. They are investing in smaller fuel efficient airliners now. Registration number > N661US ( The first ever 747-400)

Agreed on the most beautiful aircraft but I can see this as a in air refueler in the next 15-20 years it still has a lot of life left
+Christian Sandoval It is also the most safest too.

Geweldig om te zien. Heb deze vlucht vaak gevlogen.
the landing gears soung is impressive and the difference of the noise quieter after closing the doors
I'm glad you got to fly the KLM 747 before it went the way of the dinosaur, you must've had the time of your life!

Шикарная машина. Такой огромный, такой тяжелый, но такой мягкий. Супер 👏
No end for 747s still the best aircraft
Flew that route many times.
Very nice video, thank you!

Michael Rojas but you do know he is kidding right?
Michael Rojas yeah often times on RUclips you can't see if something is ironic or just criticism.
David Barnett LOL....😀
Please show the meals next time. Thanks!

Jack Mad yes!
Not klm meals
This flight landed in 26L.
Very cool vid ✈👍🏻
You must have landed on Beechnut lol
kd5you1 hahaha
what do you expect it used to be a klm cargo so it's a old loud plane
i miss the picture of the klm 747 with the aeromexico 757 together in peru
how come i have never seen a 747 there
only 737s
it's sad, no American airline corporations have bought any B747-8 series jets, very Un-American.
Neither they have A380s. Seems they don't like big jets and their airports are way out of congested....
I saw United airlines Boeing 777-200 but I don't iff it was a Houston bound flight.
Yes it was because united airlines only use their 777 at Amsterdam for flights from Amsterdam to Houston
United airlines is serving Amsterdam from Houston but also from Washington, Chicago and Newark.
+Félix Maltchinski yes that's true but the routes from newark, Chicago and Washington are operated by Boeing 767's
Thanks but I saw the video off the United 787 in Amsterdam.
+Félix Maltchinski yes that's possible because in the winter united uses their 787 on the route Houston to Amsterdam :-)
I actually like united airlines and KLM
Roelof Hetsen *Still
fly united that's the best
hell no
Why not it’s us airliner
Nice report. Engines sound like giant air conditioners.
Great vid big fan, first comment
Muito bom Like 😎👌
Nice video :-)
We fly a lot of Jackson ms to Houston to go to Bakersfield caf
I remember Delta used to say they would never buy 747's because they "use up too much fuel". I guess they changed their mind.

Houston isn't Asia. Why is it KLM Asia B747?
Maybe the KLM 747 wasn't available... important is that the flight WAS on a 747.
Klm uses the asia version all over the world
