I'm so sorry about your friend. My baby is 80 lb. And 15 years. I don't know if I'll have another good year with him. And I'm not sure if going camping will make his life shorter. He seems to really enjoy local tent camping. I'm looking at getting a tiny camper and going on the road. Just don't want to do anything to make my time with him shorter. It's the most precious time. These guys are saints. We are so blessed to be able to spend time with them. You were so good with your baby. Thank you for sharing.
Percy had a great life. It’s definitely sad, but it’s a little less sad when you think back on the amazing life you gave your dog and how happy they were. I thought Percy wouldn’t do well with the camper, but he stayed around for nearly two years of doing it.
Good for you keeping in touch with your nomadic inner-self. The fact that you had a life companion and the two of you both came to an agreement to end it together is a tremendous thing. My wife and I both had life partners that ended before we met one another. My wife travelled solo from NY to Arizona to find herself. What you are doing for yourself is so important and commendable. I applaud you.
My wife and I are so sorry for your loss. I think we are similar in that "pet" does not properly describe the animals we bring into our lives. They are our friends, we trust them and they trust us like many do not understand. And, when they leave us it creates an immense void in our life and a pain in our heart. It is evident you and Percy had this relationship. You provided Percy the best life possible and I am sure he knew that. Take comfort in Percy still being with you just in a new way. And, he will be on the journey with you as each day a little of the pain in your heart lessons. We love your videos, stay safe and enjoy the adventure ahead.
I'm so sorry for your loss. I know he was a great companion for you. I have a chihuahua (3 pounds) that I know she can't protect me except she could hear better than I could and would alert me and start barking if she heard something. She is 15 years old now and deaf so I will just love and care for her now. I'm 72 (widow) and have a 13' Scamp but only Camp in campgrounds within 100 miles from home. I love watching your journeys whenever you post them. I hate going places alone. Keep posting whenever you are able.
Just found your channel so I haven't "known" Percy for long but this had me sobbing. I travel solo with my pup all the time so I understand the bond. Thanks for sharing this touching and vulnerable video.
This has been one of my favourite videos of yours, Sam. And it was a truly lovely tribute to your wonderful Percy. His adventure lives on with you and the Earth he shares now.
I am sooo sorry for your loss. I had to do the same thing not too long ago and it's horrible. I know the lonely feeling that leaves you with too. You got this girl.
I'm so sorry to hear about Percy. That paw print shot broke my heart. We just lost our diabetic cat a few weeks ago and it's a strange feeling, so much of our daily routine was dedicated to maintaining his health that we don't know what to do with that extra time now. Hopefully you can use that time to heal a little bit each day.
I totally get that! It was nearly four years with Percy and now, no shots, no feedings, nothing. It’s weird that my routine now only focuses around me. My sleep schedule is off because of it. I hope you find healing as well!
I see so much of my huskies in your perfect boy, from pouncing in snow to hiding in the shade under the RV. What an amazing life you shared with him and a beautiful tribute 💜💜 I'll be sending you next week's therapy bill for making me bawl at 8:40 AM on a Wednesday.
This was a beautiful tribute to Percy. 💛 Let yourself heal. You get another fur baby when you are ready. They are family and not replaceable. My husky mix is 13 and I'm probably going to lose her very soon (too). I'm glad to see you are posting videos again. I love your content. Keep adventuring you brave and talented girl!
So sorry to hear about you losing your pup. It can be devastating I know. Don’t let the sorrow overwhelm the memories and think everyday the wonderful randomness that let you both be a part of each other’s lives. 😢 On a brighter note we love your channel and will continue to support your journey. We said we didn’t want another too soon and we lasted about 10 weeks. We see our old dog in our new one in so many ways it allows us to celebrate her memory.
I totally understand your loss, my sweet old girl Rae passed this January, my travel companion, and friend…..the decision to help them find peace is the hardest decision. Sorry you have had to go through it…..
Love the date you took yourself on! And your natural hair is so beautiful on you. Sending lots of love to you and Percy. It's so devastating to lose our 4 legged best friends
The scamp led me to your channel and helped with my decision to purchase one I pick it up next month! Thank you! I have an 89lb dog that will be full time in it with me. So sorry for your loss the ending is a tear jerker as I lay next to my chunk
That sucks, I still miss my dog Patch from 25 years ago. They become our family and it’s very emotional to loose them. I must have missed the episode you got your 4Runner. We have a 2018 that we tow our Casita travel trailer with. Edit: Oh crap, I just read your pinned comments, that you and Marshal got divorced. Wow, you have has a rough time these last months. I hope you have a strong family and friend network, very tough to go through this stuff.
We got me the 4Runner, so Marshall could keep the Tacoma. That was always his truck, and he wasn't going to leave me without a tow vehicle. Life's been rough, but I'm pretty resilient...or at least I'll fake it until I make. 😅
Well, glad to see you are still Scampin. Sorry bout that loss. =< Like the new rig. Medieval Times rocks. side note: not that you ever would want to, but if you want to sound like you live in Phoenix/Mesa area, "May-Sa" is what the locals say. No comment needed for other stuff, you're a dope person who makes dope videos. Aces

A lovely tribute to your loved one ...
So sorry about Percy. Thinking of you, it’s heartbreaking. Keep going Sam. 🙏

That was beautiful Sami you had the most photogenic dog ever grandma and grandpa love and miss him terribly!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ we love you
Love you too!

Percy looked like a very good doggo. I'm not crying, you're crying!
I know first hand what that statement actually means! 😅

Condolences for your loss, I’m glad to see that you’ve continued your journey and thank you for sharing with us 🙂
Another good video. Waiting to watch your next one. I'm glad your doing better after your lose.

I might just wait for a dog to pop out of the wilderness in need of saving. Let a dog find me. 🤗

Thanks, girl! The hair -- it's a love/hate relationship. I have no control of it. 😅
Subscribed, looking forward to watching your journey. That renaissance show was really cool!

That's a big pup in such a small space, but I'm sure you'll make it work! Percy was 50 lbs, and it was fine...expect for the fur...everywhere!! 😅
@@wanderess_sam I combat the fur in the car he has a white coat anytime I roll the windows down it’s like a snow globe!
