That's what we really needed a new shopping complex... No housing here in Montreal but we never have enough shopping center... Viva le capitalism and miss using space on this island...
What a terrible place we are making of earth.

Its private so it has nothing to do with housing. You should tell that to the government

@@mesha514 The city is already building new housing near the hippodrome. Which yes, it still is not enough, I give you that. However private companies will still exist and new projects will come no matter how bad the housing crisis is. That should be a concern of the municipalities not a private company.

You should know private land has everything to do with housing.
Sorry if you dont like where i said my opinion but what I should do I did here.
I'll repete all we need* was a new shopping center. Because we didn't have enough of those.
We need housing. And iNotice I said NOTHING ABOUT SOCIAL HOUSING; because to me all housing is social now go tell the government.
Ill talk to the government about universal income.

Apparently there was supposed to be apartment buildings that would have been built within the complex of the mall. But the city of Mount Royal denied the permits.

So it's a mall no one will be able to shop at.

I refuse to pay for parking. I will shop at Rockland or Dix30. For the so-called luxury for the middle-class, I will go to boutiques during my travels.

Me I refused to go to Rockland because there is no Metro connecting to it , I hate waiting for buses , Dix30 is ok because they have the Rem going from MTL but it's extra when my bus pass is only in MTL , no license for car here and I don't need on ,

Tellement de magasins à Montréal…que nous avions tellement besoin qu’ils en rajoutent d’autres. Wow. Et c’est pour cela que Décarie/Métropolitain étaient jammé dans le trafic !

The initiation of this mall development was prior to the pandemic. Times have changed since then. People don't have as much money to spend, since food and rent prices have increased in the past few years. I don't see a need for this mall at all. I am an optimist and it all sounds great, but it is not practical or required....we already have so many stores; and many people shop online.

Nothing special. The interior is bland except fot the atrium with the trees. This is not the time to build new shopping malls. Yorkdale in Toronto is way better and 5 times bigger with all luxury brands.

This is all private money, so they will do good.
If it was city money, will still be empty land.
Just look at blue bonnets next door. Owned by the city , empty for 10 years, and will be empty for 20 years more, like the cavendish expansion.
