My favorite Daredevil moment was when he fought a shapeshifting robot that copied his appearance, powers, and memories and he defeated it by asking what color his cane was and it responded with grey proving it could see and giving the robot an existential crisis as it thought it was a blind man.

There's a specific Daredevil moment in the comics that will always crack me up, and that was the moment some douche-nozzle grabbed Daredevil's leg with a glove that would instantly blind him, shouts that he's finished, and DD just chucks him out the window a few seconds later.

@@tinniesealjiji no, because his lasers are not lasers but like backwards vision; his eyes can emit all the types of light he can see. He usually uses X-Ray to see or Infrared to heat, but he has used Gamma before.
There's guilt, Catholic guilt and then there's whatever Matt Murdock has.
And beyond that, is the guilt Spider-Man has. Even Matt is usually like "the fuck?!?"

I'll go ahead and add this as I'm sure someone will. The TMNT share an origin with Daredevil. The waste that blinded Matt is supposed to have been what mutated the turtles. Plus splinter trained them, as stick trained Matt. As well, Matt fought the hand,and the turtles fought the foot.

Not exactly just the willpower, but moreso his depression. Basically, he has such severe clinical depression that it actually makes him immune to mind control. Case in point, Purple Man. Killgrave tried to control him, and Matt's brain just went, "Fuck off, I'm miserable."

One of my favorite DD moments is in one of the older comics when DD and Hawkeye are fighting each other over Black Widow. Hawkeye in the fight shines an arrow with blinding light in DD's face and DD just thinks to himself for a second "Shit man! I have to act like this hurts me to cover the fact I'm blind" and pretty much just acts out "awh man! This light is super blinding, you've beat me!!"
One of my favorite bits from the Dare Devil comic is just Bullseye reading files on people including Matt Murdock and thinking how likely it would be that someone like him could be Dare Devil the saw he was blind and was immediately like oh well never mind.
One of my favourite parts of trivia is that Ghost Rider hates Daredevil because Ghost Rider thinks it makes more sense that he should be called Daredevil.
This is because he is a motorcycle stunt rider and his powers were given to him by the devil.
The man without fear is good, but one just as good is “the devil of Hell’s Kitchen” but they didn’t say that one

He could sense the heat emanating from the light. I think it's could to do with some head dispersion in the air and his sense are so powerful that he can sense it all.

Haven’t seen it mentioned on the wiki, but Daredevil once used and flung the Lance of Longinus to kill a demon that tried to protect itself by using a set of armor made up of the souls of young children.

I mean, he got to be not blind for a bit in the comics when tony stark was doing some god-complex bs and Matt acknowledged that so much shit would be easier if he could also see.
One of the best things I can think of when I think of Daredevil is when he's making a team to fight Ronin. He goes to find Harkeye, who is in his Ronin costume. But. can't fucking. see. it. Which causes Hawkeye to start waving his hand in Matt's face and he tells Clint what is he doing.
Daredevil: Hey, Clint. I'm putting together a team to take down Ronin. You in?
Clint in Ronin suit: Uh...

If anyone from the shows should be cemented into the mcu it’s Charlie Cox/Jon Bernthal and their crews. Luke cage needs that size up too tbh.

I think the "weakness" of blindness is actually referring to visual cues in which he can't make up for it using other senses. He can't look at photographs or other media, which could affect normal day to day as well as lawyer work. He also can't find warning signs inherently such as dangerous areas like what's behind a door. Not saying he can't figure it out, but I'd imagine he tends to have more urgent tasks at hand. I bet some antagonist took advantage of that before, like leading murdoc into more volatile places just because they have some semblance of an upper hand.

@@GodDiggetyDoodle I meant like unseen hazard areas. Like imagine if he chased someone through a door and down a hallway, only to have everything metallic heat up and pull away. He missed the warning sign mentioning not to bring metal objects because there are powerful magnets. My point being, he can stop to read it only if there's no enemies around, otherwise be risks letting down his guard, also he might miss it when chasing someone. Also as a lawyer being unable to understand photo evidence as well as audioless video is a handicap.
@@lazylazerrsp8781 photos can actually be "seen" by feeling the ink with your fingers. Even in pictures that aren't shown with ink, in my best description: "the different colors smell different when you touch them." Similar to how I can tell whats on my phone through feeling the static. It's a Synesthesia thing. As far as the warning signs you are dead on, but not with an MRI. I can hear and feel an mri machine running far away from the radiology wing, and daredevil is a comic book character and therefore far better than me. But you have a great point with that example. I can't think of a more likely example, except that I frequently miss "road closed" signs until I'm right up on the cones and caution tape unless the tape is fluttering in the wind. Been an entertaining thread to read, hopefully I conveyed answers in a way that makes sense. But also keep in mind a lot of his power is being able to go with the flow, roll with the punches, and get out of whatever. So even if he lost anything metal, he'd still just alter his plan and get out a different way. BTW if you know where I can find an old cathode ray tube television (one of the late models that I can hook stuff up to), the static is a lot louder and easier to decifer from across the room without touching it. Needing to touch the device to feel the static makes it rather pointless to have a TV, may as well just use my phone at that rate. Then again, I have 3 jobs and not much time to sit down for TV. @@andyengle2238 pawnshops tend to have the big and old while thrift stores are where anything old gets sold. You can also try looking for people trying to get rid of it online, usually through craigslist, just be careful with where and when you make the hand over.
That synesthesia stuff is so foreign to me it might as well be a super power on its own. I remember seeing a prototype for a color blind person where a headset would send vibrations at different frequencies to help differentiate the hues. Wonder if that'd also work for the blind to "see" shapes.

So like i can "see" the shape of things on the road based on the vibrations coming through my bike tires up to my feet, hands, and butt, and also based on the sounds coming from passing tires and my own singing. Its hard to understand synesthesia unless you have it. I'm not completely blind, I just have a complicated brain injury to my visual processing centers. Enough so that what I DO manage to see is basically useless because its gone the second I look away. My brain rewired itself to "look" with my other more useful senses, because physics states that what is there in the light is also there in the dark, even if you can't see it. So I don't have any crazy super power, though I guess the ability to adapt to survive could be called a super power. When i was 3 the world was mostly "dark" but as I grew older I either gained some of that function back, honed my sense of synesthia to the point that I can't tell the difference, or more likely a little of both. Oddly enough I seem to have regained some visual function in my most recent concussion incident when I got hit by a car

There’s something also with Matt’s training with stick and the mystical arts and how he could essentially be immortal and impervious to any damage even from some of the strongest rated mcu characters. But he stopped his training.

That could also be read as a deus ex machina because of how convenient it was that he ended up above ground despite being unconcious underground and almost drowning.. maybe that ability will come up later now hes in the MCU
7:43 that's an urban legend that the quiet room sends people insane, people have easily spent hours in there with no issues but to some people it can be quite unnerving to begin with. There's a couple videos of people going into it and recording their experience of it.
Daredevil would be the ultimate Green Lantern with no fear and an indomitable will.

Every superhero's greatest weakness is guest-starring in a comic written by the guy who writes for the main protagonist and knows vey little about the guest. Stats don't matter when the writer is invested in the character.

That sniper scene from the punisher is one of the most underrated scenes. The culprit is in Juarez, a city on the border of Mexico. And the punisher snipes him from El Paso Texas.
