This was my home away from home from 2011-2014 when I was assisting Navy Ships that would make port calls at the old Rodman Naval Station (now a commercial port) My Friend Giovanni ran the restaurant GREAT GUY!!!! O's Segredos de Carne is nearby and that has GREAT dining....try the grilled pineapple.
Wow. That’s cool. The woman who manages it now is doing a great job and is super friendly. We popped in to say hi and chatted. We must try the fried pineapple!
Didn’t you say in one of your videos that you could get a monthly rate of around 1500 a month for the long-term stays apartments there at the Marriott? We went there today to check on the price and that was around $3000 a month.
Hi Terry. Wow that’s double! 😳We apologize if it got you in a bad situation. That cost we quoted goes back a way and also hotels have increases like everything and seasonal price changes. I wonder if mentioning our video they would consider a discount??? Let us know.
Clearly getting into high time James. I checked for a couple weeks out and it was $111. Definitely fluctuates but I'm sure the others go up also. It was still one of the cheaper/better hotels for Dec. on the Marriott site.
The full service breakfast is the best of any hotel. And in case you missed it there are ocean views to the left, not just mountains. It’s about a 10 minute walk to a lovely park and the ocean waterfront path.
@@laptopseniors dunno the Riu Plaza Panama puts out a mean spread for breakfast and the rates are very similar these days but the rooms at Marriott are much bigger so that is definitely a bonus.
At 1;20 sorry I moved on--- I went to the Marriott in Costa Rica a few years back-- $14 margaritas that came in a TEA cup with no salt..& little booze because booze is expensive (TAXES). I'm sorry but I came to CR to see CR the Marriott was great BUT I was isolated---- Great POOL great but rocky beach... I wanted to see CR not to be too isolated in the REMOTE area I guess the rooms in panama city ARE way cheaper I just hope they don`t trap you in the resort
Hi David...sucks that you had a bad experience in Costa Rica. Marriotts are usually good. This one in Panama (not CR) was/is good. It's in the city. Not a resort so lots of business people on week long stays. Generally speaking, even in Panama, if you're in a resort you're getting rocked on the day rate. A hotel... not so much.
I just looked and the prices were MUCH higher even with the senior discount. How did you get the lower price? Last time I stayed at the RIU plaza on Calle 50. Not too far away.

I stayed there a couple of years ago and had a two bedroom unit and it was great! The staff was the best!!!!

Lovely video. Did you say the food comes with the room as in included with the rate? Is that breakfast only or does it include dinner?
It was breakfast only. We booked on the Marriott website. Look for a senior's or AAA/CAA discount. Drops the price nicely.
