Youre quickly becoming my favourite channel. I love how the videos are formatted and the way you address your audience, its so natural and free flowing very comfortable to watch and learn from please keep it going!! I'm still to watch all of your vids, but have you done an oil brushes /panel liner comparison vid at all?
Before I started watching your channel, I never realized the difference that a base makes to the final colour! Great video! Thanks again for sharing Rex!
That was excellent and I'm impressed with the saturation of Dspiae's clear colors. I'm going to be using that pouring trick for sure! Thanks for all the hard work you put into your videos, they're awesome!
Love your channel. Everything I know about air brushing I’ve learned from you thank you. I have my mr color and alclad collections moving along nicely. Will you ever review any kits or do videos on builds? Would love to see some of the kits you have done
You mentioned spray paint shooting back towards your camera. To solve that issue, build a small enclosure for your camera with a clear glass window to film through. You'll be able to get your video without damaging your camera. If the glass window gets paint on it, scrape it off with a razor.
I have tried Tamiya, Dspiae, Mr Hobby, E7, and Modo clear's. Hands down Gaianotes have the best clear paints in my opinion. You can tell by the way they coat the bottle when you thin them. Almost like an ink. And you get the best value when it's thinned correctly.
You should compile pictures of all paints into pictures on a website or something. Or just hosted somewhere for the modeling community so people always have references for this stuff. (There is one gunpla site that has a few. But I can't remember what)Thanks for all the work you do. Always fascinating!
Absolutely fantastic video! I just put in another order to Gundam Pros after watching one of your other videos to get some of their stuff. I'm getting a bunch of Mr. metallics and bunch of the Mr color clear colors after seeing your tests. These colors look great! I'll have to add these to my wishlist. You channel is fantastic, but terrible for the wallet and the real estate for my paints 😆. I mainly paint toys and figures, but I'll have to get back to models someday. Thanks for your time and effort, can't wait to see more about your paint line, they'll be the only enamels I have in my collection (other than some Testors/Model Masters I had years ago).
That Dspiae green seems to be a very blue-heavy green. I think I like Tamiya's clear green the best so far; it's also a blue green but it's a little more neutral than this one. By comparison, Spaz stix' candy green is a yellow-heavy green. They both have their uses, but bluer greens can be used to cover clear parts better, like the pink gundam beam sabers - they'll actually come out a decent green, whereas yellow-greens make those saber parts look horrible.
Barbatos have you tried the Revell aqua primer. Its alcohol based and its white. Also it needs thinning and I think you can thin it with leveling thinner or x20a.
I liked a few of them. Its the black I loved the most. I need to try the black rover a red. I have been trying to get a blackish blood red color for some time.
Love your videos and like you I really like paints I spray paint for a living but I'd much rather use an airbrush I'm not very good at it but I'm trying. You say some videos go on to long but for me the longer the video the better.
ah those are looking nice. Seeing all those Gaia Paints- been trying to get some myself for a while but its really hard to get them in Europe. As Far as Dspiae goes : their Paint lineup in general looks really good ( sadly their restocking times are super long - again in europe xD ) . But yeah in General im really surprised about that Company. Their tools were Surprisingly good for their price and the paints seem to be great aswell. Just kinda proves a bit that sadly alot of Gunpla/modelling supplies are sadly overpriced ^^
God I love those colors only one really bad thing about them.....THEY ARE SOLD OUT 😭. I looked absolutely everywhere for the starbright brass. I think that combined with the red might make anything look like the titanium finish kits...that aren't under gated..... might me a solution.
I'm a sucker for candy paints and have been looking desperately for a good candy black, like a tinted/smoky chrome. I adore that black over chrome you did and planning to use alclad as my base. After all of the various, wonderful videos, do you have any recommendations for the best candy black?
Great video man. I love how you go everything you did. I was also wondering if you knew of a company that does a clear brass color or a way to mix colors to get it to look like brass. I have a kit lined up that I want to start working on soon that candy coat of brass is going to be one of the main colors. Any advice you have would be greatly appreciated.
I've been looking for clear yellow or transparent yellow. If you have any information where I can find it. Hobby stores don't have it here where I'm from.
Have you been able to try the Dspiae thinner with Mr. Color, Alclad and Gaia? That's a lot of value and I'm trying to figure out if I should switch over.
I always thought Reign was a perfect album. Light years ahead of anything I bought at the time. My friend likes South Of Heaven the best. Have you heard the band Suicide Angels? Heavy Slayer influence and very good.
I have some of the color change Dspiae and I get a spider web effect when I spray mixed with Mr Thinner. I am not sure what the deal is. I think maybe I didn't use enough. if I put what seems like way too much thinner it is better but still exists. Its odd. Maybe I need to use the official thinner, but it is always sold out. /shrug.

Thank you for the kind words. I'm planing on a panel line video for sure. I recently got several brands for the comparison
He is also one of my favorite channels He really seems like a down to earth kind of guy
Before I started watching your channel, I never realized the difference that a base makes to the final colour! Great video! Thanks again for sharing Rex!
Lovin the videos. Again glad to have met you at AA Hobbies. These are great, I usually only use my airbrush for priming, time to rethink.
Definitely rethink that 👍
Serious metal head here!!! I get all your music references. Just wanted to let you know you are a fantastic youtuber!!
I like metal too. Death/Doom, black metal and power metal is what I like.
Congrats to the winners!

Thanks! Trying to make a decision on a candy matte. Your vids always help.
Nice! That green over the Gunpla Star Light Brass is one of the most beautiful colors I’ve ever seen on RUclips.
That's a great color for sure 👌

These are Dspiae best colors in their line up for sure

Great video! The best clear black finish over the chrome spoon, was it just directly on the bare spoon? Or over the premium chrome?

Thank you to put these colors on clear too.
Clear black?, this is the first time I see that color in clear and I must say it looks very good. Thanks again for the super hardcore tests ;)
You're welcome buddy 👍
Who ever use airbrush the is a way to see how airbrush spray . I did have a bent tips I use a strobe light to see how is the airbrush performing.
You will be getting a few more clears in next months delivery. 👌🙏 love the videos.
That purple looks awesome on anything. One jar to rule them all. Man i'm such a sucker for purple lol.
That purple was gorgeous
@@johnodinsson3635 ikr. its so stunning

Right? The videos are longer, but he does an amazing job of real time painting and then actually showing/going over the results

I don't think this paint is available in the UK :/ some unexpected but absolutely lovely colours there!!
Love the videos man.
Thanks dude 👍
Wow, impressive! 🙂👍

I think you should look into clear brown. Mr Color has one as well as Gaia. When sprayed over different bases you can achieve a brass type color
@@barbatosrex9473 Awesome. Thanks for the advice my dude.
Have you try those candy on their own chrome silver? (ep-1)

Yes, it works great for all of those
The yellow over the sandy brown almost looks like school bus yellow.
Haunting the Chapel > Reign in Blood

@@barbatosrex9473 Hahaha I knew you would reply to that 1 :)
Would you say that these paints are the best in terms of amount per dollar?
As far the candy colors go, yes. Plus the jars are filled right to the top
Barbatos do you like Blind gurdian?
Can you also test Dspiae CP-1~16 Chameleon? just look at the bottle it seems amazing
I did a full test of them not to long ago. Go to my channel under videos and look up Dspiae Color Shift Paints
@@barbatosrex9473 thx
I can't find the Gaia notes star bright brass anywhere..😭 do they restock these occasionally?
Gaia only sends out restock once a year. When it's gone you have to wait another year. I've been missing colors in my Gaia stock for 2 years
@@barbatosrex9473 bummer.😞 Did you try the purple over black? I'm trying to replicate eggplant. I'm doing ZZ top's cadzzilla.

Do you thin the E7 chrome sealer? Or straight from the bottle?
Straight out of the bottle
what pressure are you shooting at?
15 psi. The Badger Patriot airbrush calls for only 15, if I was using another airbrush it would be 20 psi
all is hawsom with you ... red is blur ... "Hawsome" , red on sylver is Discasting "Howsome" !! ... commercial video
I liked the clip, but…you talked to much bro, LOL
Yeah, I realized I rambled on in this one. I will tighten it up going forward for sure. Thanks for watching
