*This* is rock & roll. I've always said that the most important rock is that which is being made, right now, by a bunch of kids in their garage, banging out their favourite tunes. They sure as heck don't sound at all slick and "perfect", but that's the whole point. They are claiming the music for the people, and as long as they are playing those tunes in their own way and are having a blast doing it, those tunes are being played perfectly.
