The fanbase loving those characters so much is why they made them recurring characters for a while. In fact, Neo was _so_ last minute that they didnt even have a VA or weapon for her, so they just stuck with making her mute and an amazing dodging-style fighter lol. They didn’t think we’d like Torchwick so much either and we showed him love but they still killed him off so who knows what will happen. Though, if Velvet dies we _riot_ . The more love we show them the more the writers might give them a cameo, like Team FNKI for example.

Sarah Rose I don’t think it’s even been a whole year since the Vytal Festival Tournament. Volume 6 took a few days and Volume 5 was about a couple weeks I think. I don’t remember how long exactly. Volume 5 was at most a month bc that’s how long Leo told Qrow it would take to set up the expedition to attack the Branwen Tribe. So if we say Volume 5 and 6 together are two months total (which is an overestimation of how long they actually are) then Volume 4 would have ended 10 months after Volume 3. I’m sure it took Team RNJR a while to get through Anima on foot but not THAT long.
Edgar Trujillo yes but remember at the end of volume 3? We saw the seasons change from fall to winter then back to spring. And in volume 4, Ruby said she thought they’d only be walking for a few weeks and the rest of RNJR acted like that was way less time than how long they’d actually been walking. And Qrow was badly injured at the end of 4 but in 5 he was fine so there must have been a time skip if at least a few months. And there was probably a few weeks to a month between volumes 5 and 6.

After all there is no trace of snow in V4 and V5 but most of V6 has snow. Also, I don't remember it changing back to spring at the end of V3. The last scene is of Qrow with Ozpin's cane and it's still snowing. As for the point about Ruby thinking it would only take three weeks to get to Mistral, I addressed that before. That's why I said we can assume it took at least about two months. I don't think it took more than four if you want to high ball it, though. If we high ball everything, then yes you're right it has been a year since the Vytal Festival Tournament. If we say the Fall of Beacon happened in early fall and Team RNJR departed from Patch in late Winter that's 6 months that have passed already. Let's give the trip to Mistral including the airship ride at the end 4 months and the space between V4 and V5 a month. Then V5, V6, and the space between them each another month. Then I believe we're at a total time span of 14 months since the Fall of Beacon. That being said, again, this is super high balling it. V6 was a few days, the space between V5 and V6 couldn't have been more than a couple weeks, V5 was also another couple of weeks, V4 could have just as easily been 2 months while still making sense for the rest of Team RNJR to react the way that they did to Ruby's comment, and as for the change in seasons, it doesn't snow all winter in some parts and considering that Patch isn't mountainous, for all we know it could've been Winter when we first see Team RNJR in V4. I'm not saying you're wrong because both of us are estimating, but wanted to point out that it could've been significantly less than a year between the Fall of Beacon and V7.
Jaune low-key has the 2nd best character development/character arc on this show. Only Weiss is above him and that's largely because of all the songs we get of her that dive into her character more deeply.
He's pretty much the only good protagonist from a narrative perspective. Goal: be a huntsman Challenge: has no combat ability Unique challenge: forged his transcripts, adding extra tension (what if someone finds out?) Narrative opportunity: comes from a village, so through him we can learn a lot more about the wider world (and aura, but it doesn't make sense that he didn't know about it and we're never told why. Seriously, that's a problem). Compare this to everyone else, who wish to become huntsman and have nothing really hindering that goal - Blake comes closest with the White Fang, but that doesn't actually interfere with her goal (just makes her a more interesting side character). Weiss also wants to run the SDC but doesn't really do anything to further that goal like, ever - during volume 4 we learnt her dad's a prick and she left, that's as far as it goes. She hadn't undergone any development since volume 1, when she stopped thinking herself above others and cane to the conclusion to trust Blake off screen. Ruby, who SHOULD be the main character, wanted to be a huntress, got into Beacon 2 years early, had some minor issues with Weiss and since then hasn't struggled to achieve her goal (the fall of beacon shifted the focus of her life, so not even that counts).
I love that Ruby was excited for this. With everything at Beacon, she didnt really get a chance to be a normal huntress. Shes finally living the dream!!!

Fun fact: Ivory and Neon where designed like JoJo characters, the concept artist is a huge fan. And seeing as FNKI are based on memes you can’t get any more meme-like than JoJo Seriously, Ivory looks like he could easily fit into Passione and Neon looks like Jolyne’s long lost sister.
He definitely fits into Passione. But after reading Stone Ocean again, I definitely see him being influenced by Donatello Versus (Under World's user and one of Dio's children whom Pucci asked for help). Their outfit is technically the same, even their hairstyle is pretty similar (only difference is that Ivori has the sharp bang and grey hair, while Donatello has a ponytail and blonde hair). I'm guessing the Concept Artist is a huge fan of SO with the outfit choice for both Ivori and Neon.

This is nice. This is the first time we have really seen anything even close to living a normal hunter/huntress lifestyle since season 3. Sure there were times when things calmed down, but there was always the worry of something hanging over their heads. Im so happy with this montage.

Well if you think about it, they are the closest for each other. Way back to like season 2 when Yang confronted Blake about her bad sleeping habits when they were still dealing with the White Fang and Roman Torchwick. Since then, they’ve been through a lot, especially their traumas with Adam Taurus and defeating him.

Yea I think this was a good volume, I always wanted to see atlas and its military. Then the next volume they turned ironwood into a paranoid “genocide” general and killed off atlas, ironwood and the atlesian military. Such shit writing to the core…. Even then ironwood was right if he raised atlas to orbital atmosphere no grim could survive the altitude climb to reach atlas and get the lamp and staff. Team rwby should have told ironwood the truth instead of being hypocritical pricks and ironwood would have come up with a plan to decommission salem despite her immortality. Yes I am clearly disappointed how they handled atlas and ironwood, my favorite rwby character and nation.

The Arrowfell game and the Justice League crossover movie took place during this time. We don't know how long they've been in Atlas during volume 7. Probably months. Long enough for those plots to take place. That means, whenever part 2 of the movie comes out, RWBYJNR *will* live through it.
I guess if it's ever gonna happen, it will become a thing ONLY after the Grand Finale of the series. Sooo we have to wait at least two-three years (volumes 8, 9, maybe 10) and than a few more on top of that. Heck ._.
I’m not sure if they would, considering Monty was so heavily involved in the animation engine and design for the first three volumes. They might view it as disrespecting his work. It would be nice to see, but it’ll definitely be much, much later. As Gera Shar said, it’ll maybe be a project they look into after the series is finished.

Seriously, Ivory looks like he could easily fit into Passione and Neon looks like Jolyne’s long lost sister.
He definitely fits into Passione. But after reading Stone Ocean again, I definitely see him being influenced by Donatello Versus (Under World's user and one of Dio's children whom Pucci asked for help). Their outfit is technically the same, even their hairstyle is pretty similar (only difference is that Ivori has the sharp bang and grey hair, while Donatello has a ponytail and blonde hair). I'm guessing the Concept Artist is a huge fan of SO with the outfit choice for both Ivori and Neon.

This is nice. This is the first time we have really seen anything even close to living a normal hunter/huntress lifestyle since season 3. Sure there were times when things calmed down, but there was always the worry of something hanging over their heads. Im so happy with this montage.

Well if you think about it, they are the closest for each other. Way back to like season 2 when Yang confronted Blake about her bad sleeping habits when they were still dealing with the White Fang and Roman Torchwick. Since then, they’ve been through a lot, especially their traumas with Adam Taurus and defeating him.

Yea I think this was a good volume, I always wanted to see atlas and its military. Then the next volume they turned ironwood into a paranoid “genocide” general and killed off atlas, ironwood and the atlesian military. Such shit writing to the core…. Even then ironwood was right if he raised atlas to orbital atmosphere no grim could survive the altitude climb to reach atlas and get the lamp and staff. Team rwby should have told ironwood the truth instead of being hypocritical pricks and ironwood would have come up with a plan to decommission salem despite her immortality. Yes I am clearly disappointed how they handled atlas and ironwood, my favorite rwby character and nation.
