Glad someone mentioned taking your floor mat out first. I have heavier weather mats and that TOTALLY prevents a reset.

I had to move my floor mat out of the way to get the pedal “all the way down”. I must have tried a dozen times before this made it work on the first try!

I was getting frustrated because this wasnt working for me until i saw a comment that said take out your floor mat.... I didnt think this would make a difference but after trying to do it a dozen times without removing the floor mat, and failing, i took it out and bingo it worked in 1 try.

Just did this today for my 2015 journey. Worked first time. I thought it was the brake that did it but I guess it’s the gas peddle. Thanks so much. It was so annoying

I have heavy weather tech floor mats but I did NOT have to remove them to reset the light. I did, however, have to wait for the message that says “oil change due” to flick on before pushing the gas pedal 3 times. I was really frustrated, had to do this like 10 times all at different speeds before I figured this out 😂
