This worked for me!!!! I had tried other guides to get a static ip address for my network, which it did assign a static address but it did not refresh it from my router's view. Now after following this guide my router can see it!!! Thank you!
*For anyone who's wifi stopped working after following this crap, you can fix it reverting all changes to interfaces file, entering: 'sudo systemctl enable dhcpdc', and then sudo rebooting your device.
When I go to the file there is a message saying to configure static options i should edit dhcpcd.conf. Are you saying that to truly make it static and to be able to turn off the dhcpcd service that interfaces.d file should be edited?
