Hell yea! I have 3 pwnagotchies running your image. Love it, just sometimes have to reinstall a few times for all the processes to take. A lot of the time pwnagotchi is activating but not running....

I love the fact that there has been such a resurgence in efforts to make pwnagotchis work and it feels like it's better than ever.
There really has been! Last video I made, the image was from 2 years ago and there were a ton of fixes that needed to be made. Now it's like the project never stopped!

Very nice tutorial, it helped me alot with my first pwnagotchi! It would be nice if you could make another video on how to install plugins like the xp bar or the battery percentage. I think this would be very helpful for a lot of people.

The jayofelony image is so good! The 64bit works on my zero 2w, 3b, and 4b! No need to do anything, just swap between devices! Also has drivers for many external wifi adapters! No way! Thx jayofelony! I was never able to install drovers for the old/original pwnagotchi image as there were dependencies errors on the kernel side

You need to make a video on how to activate all the built in plugins
so i tried to use it without the ability to access bettercaps web ui. and this version didn't capture any handshakes whatsoever and it was in a network rich environment. the last pwnagotchi i made captured over 60 in 3 minutes being in the same environment. i cant figure out why this img seems ot not work as well as the 1.8 aluminium ice image.
Man compared to the more than a week it took me to set up my first one (huge learning curve) this was an absolute breeze

Hi, in this tutorial you used Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W or Pi Zero W ?
Use 32bit if it’s a pi0 v1 or 64bit if it’s a pi0 v2.
I don't get how you go into the web interface... Am i missing something ? isn't the username and password the same as your ssh ?

everytime i finish installing fancygotchi, no matter what theme i point to , its just the default with fancgotchi coloration, then the unit goes headless and i have to reflash. im using aluminum ice 1.8.5. ive been at this for like 8 hours.
They need to setup a homescreen widget for your phone to have the pwnagotchi then we won't even need a screen on the unit and gain a bit of battery life in the process
Just tether your phone to it using bluetooth and go to the same webpage.
I run a headless version and it works great.

@@HotelHero yes, you can just use the web page that's running on it.
Pretty much the same as you would use it through the USB to set it up and control it the way as in the video.
Just make sure you configure it so it only does a couple of pairing attempts on boot so it doesn't constantly broadcasts it's there on bluetooth, got mine set to 5 attempts before timing out and shutting BT off.
On the pwnagotchi web page there is documentation on how to set it up.
However an E-ink display uses as much or less power then BT does so there isn't much gained when it comes to power consumption.
Biggest pro would be the fact that looking at a phone is more common place then looking at a 3d printed device with a screen, it's a bit more low key especially when you start adding GPS dongles 😉
that ruins the point. pwnagotchi isnt really a tool. it sucks at what it does. its all about the machine learning component and the cute faces.

Hey chief thanks for the tutorial. Everything was punky brewster until we got to the SSH part. For some reason it says that port 22 has a timed out connection. Is there any suggestions? I took off the firewall and tried it that way....still no dice. Any advice would be awesome!

Mine doesn’t detect as a ethernet device anymore. Worked for a few days and stopped. Tried multiple cables, the keyboard adapter still works to type directly on penagotchi, but no ethernet or generic com device is detected

@@user-mc8xt1iq7c I use a micro-usb to USB-A adapter and a mini HDMI adapter to plug the pwnagotchi to a keyboard and monitor, so I can type commands and edit files.

I love your video, fighting to have a fancy one working for days now. Just one thing, using the aluminium-ice gives me only one wifi adapter wlan0 "managed", no monitor one and there's no possibility with airmon-ng to wake-up the monitor mode. So I use the 1.5.6 which enables the monitor mode from scratch.
I was struggling with this myself. I'll actually use that image and see how it goes!

I've managed to get it work and it worked for a good while. Then I plugged it into a school laptop and it froze. After reflashing, when connected to home laptop using exactly the same equipment it keeps connecting disconnecting. Also when I flash it if I wait for the validation it sends flash failed. What could it be? Thanks
If I wanted to do this on a Raspberry 5 starter kit, what would be the best bet for connecting to the desktop?

Why is the activity led on solid and 100% cpu always on pwnagotchi-2.8.9-32bit? 1.5.6 beta only flashes when accessing tf card and varies from 90 to 100% cpu.
The Pwnagotchi is a pretty cool concept, but I've been encountering a few bugs. My Pwnagotchi keeps going blind every few hours. I am currently on the latest firmware. Is this common? How can I fix it?

Is there a script you have to run in the powershell to enable internet connection sharing in Windows for the pwnagotchi? Or is that not required with the jayofelony image?
I think you missed 2 huge items...config.toml & default.toml- don't we have to do something here? Argh...some make it out so easy....i've done all the steps to a t and....nothing....sigh....yes my cable supports data

Can you recommend me battery alternatives? Like, does it have to be Pisugar?
You can use any battery, but the PiSugar ones are nice and they integrated well onto the Raspberry Pi Zero
The color screen...do you have a link to that?? Also does it connect via a connector or HDMI port?
What would be the differences in battery consumption between the two? I like the LCD one, but I believe the battery wouldn't last , can anyone help me with info?
I haven't personally tested this, but i've been told that it's actually pretty comparable to the Waveshare e-ink displays.

Im getting errors every time i attempt to flash. Its a new SD card and unformatted. "the volume does not contain a recognized file system" etc, etc. Any advice?
try to change sd card. try different manufactures.

If you see the Ethernet gadget in your Ethernet adapters, make sure to set your ipv4 with 10.0.0.1 IP and 255.255.255.0 subnet
