Thank you. I visited the Holy Sepulcher about eleven years ago. I was standing in line waiting to enter. It was two weeks after Pascha. I noticed that the monk in charge was Greek, so I said "Christ is risen!" in Greek to him as I got closer. His face lit up, and he told me to put my hand in the candle flame by the tomb. I was hesitant, but he assured me it wouldn't burn. Sure enough, I kept my hand in the flame for a couple of minutes. My hand became totally covered in soot, but the flame did not burn; it only felt warm like the love of God. I was very excited and showed my blackened hand to my bus tour group later and told them they should put their hand in the candle flame at the tomb. They just stared at me. I didn't realize at the time that this was a miracle.

People will always try to find ways to disproove a miricle because of their lack of faith... but for the true believers in Christ Jesus miracles are all around us we just need to keep our eye open and Gos will reveal himself to you in many many ways...

Very interesting presentation. In 2017, when the Holy Fire was brought to America, I was blessed to be one of the recipients. I had the Holy Fire in my apartment! That fire traveled over 7000 miles on Earth alone from Jerusalem to Phoenix, AZ...that was miracle enough for me!

God Bless You for sharing GODS GIFT OF MIRACLE AND GRACE!! Are you aware of how many received the Holy Fire at the time you received? If you received it alone it is still a wonderful miracle!! I’m just very curious of the event. I haven’t heard or learned that much on this particular subject regarding anything about Holy Fire! Except Moses seeing the burning bush, pillar of smoke, Moses bright face, and such. Could you please share more of your story and/or others who experienced it and how u felt,thought, heard, saw, spoke, etc...how did you know it traveled from Jerusalem or what do you mean by traveled? My apologies for bombarding w questions. I love to learn about God touching and blessing people in their life. Especially, if their faith was lost, sometimes they never had faith, and/or they want to have faith but are struggling and straight out ask God to show them beyond faith alone. I got saved when I was a kid but later I chose my own path that led to a desperate, addicted, depressed, scared, and fed up child in an adults body that had no idea how to even live. 13 years ago I made sure to get on my knees and keep visiting at this same location while visiting, giving thanks, and worshipping MY SAVIOR. The Absolute Least thing I could do for al of the Grace, Blessings, Mercy. and Miracles I still experience coming into my life!! If there is anyone out there struggling and lost hope w life..please don’t give up and always make your mind think”THIS TOO SHALL PASS” I promise it will!! Even if it seems like it’s been too long or too much that it could never get better. Please understand many times when we are in the worst part of our storms, suffering the most, or feel the most tied or chained the tightest fir longest snd feel we can’t do it or take it anymore. Hold tight and at that point make up your mind that u will not give up because you have done all I can do and now you have made your mind up abd said you are waiting on God. As scripture states” THIS TOO SHALL PASS!! God may not come in your timing or provide a way when you thought was best. God may even show up at the very last minute. However, GOD KNOWS AND SEES SO MUCH BETTER THAN OUR INPATIENT PAIN IN THE BEHINDS CAN!! Thank GOD GOD DOES KNOW!!! Anyways that’s my rant, that’s my story, you can dislike, you can disagree, you can hate it, you caN love it!! As an Italian, I love the film "Moonstruck" and I thank you for the reference . Yes, thank God, it's not modern times in Sicily, or in Jerusalem! Again, as in Italian, I consider the Greeks our first cousins,( Una faccia una razza!), and have both love and respect for the Orthodox Church, and believe in the miracle of the holy light! However, in order to dispel and doubt why not film the holy miracle which takes place in the Lord's tomb?
What would it really prove to those that are determined not to believe? Kind of like the Shroud of Turin. Those that believe require no evidence. Those that don't will never accept any evidence.
I have seen the dissection of an extraterrestrial alien on video and i believe it to be a hoax. If you see someone moving the flame through his beard and not catching fire and you still don't believe, there is little point in watching a video inside the tomb.

Just to make its origins completely clear, the Holy Fire does not burn (consume, ignite any object or cause pain from heat) for 33 minutes and 33 seconds. Also it seems to spread on its own around the church but only ignites candle wicks and not other flammable objects like prayer books, hair or clothing. That is in itself a miracle.
what is the significance of 33?? I see this number repeatedly! I have asked the Lord so many times and never really discovered the meaning. And now I am reading the comments and come across what you share. I got goosebumps when I read that.

Great presentation! I applaud how sober and factual your presentation is. I'm so sorry it doesn't get the attention it deserves. Just goes to show how little critics search for evidence of the existence of God. Most are satisfied persecuting our beliefs as they tend to assume that it is ridiculous to believe in God. I was touch by God's consuming fire at the age of 14 and it came straight from heaven... I came across this video that seems to prove - with testimony from clergy and patriarchs, video and the words of the prayer - that the fire is lit from an inextinguishable oil lamp that sits in the tomb. It doesn't address other things but I'd like to know your response if possible.

@Kyril J Just look up Michael Kalopoulos video where he explains it simply. Phosphorus is used, to spontaneously light the candles. everything can be explained. I've been. It's no miracle. There plenty of places to hide lights in the tomb.

At 18:31 you are showing an image of violence in which people are being bludgeoned using the butts of guns. This has absolutely nothing to do with the seemingly peaceful event that took place in 1192. Why has this illustration been teamed with this story? It is clearly wrong by more than 600 years.
The garden tomb is the site of Jesus' burial and resurrection. However that does not mean that the Holy Fire can't come somewhere else.

There is no proof of the garden tomb being the true tomb. Every archaeologist will tell you that, the people who maintain the garden tomb don’t even make the claim that it’s the true tomb. The church of the holy sepulchre has archeologically been proven to be the location of the true tomb, and you can find many sources about this, just look it up.
The garden tomb is a fake modern invention. American Evangelicals made it up about 80 years ago. The Holy Sepulchre was known to be the true tomb of Christ 2000 years ago by the Early Church. We have ZERO testimony from the Early Church that talks about the garden tomb, all of the Early Church spoke about the area where the Holy Sepulchre is located.
Archaeologist have proven that 2000 years ago the "garden tomb" was actually within the city walls of old Jerusalem. This means, that the so-called "garden tomb " is not the burial place of Christ. Both Roman law and Jewish law forbade burials within the city walls! Protestants, often feel alienated from Christian Jerusalem because both Orthodox and Catholic Christianity are the original Churches, while Protestantism is a heresy founded it in the 16th century and has absolutely nothing to do with authentic Christianity .

I suppose l hint the reason(s?) why he Holy Fire isn´t cold, firstly it has to be warm and don´t hurt, as the love of Christ is, secondly l suppose GOD could provide a totaly cold Holy Fire but that would be undoubtable evidence for God, but as God created us with a free will, to acknowledge Him or deny, a totaly undeniable wonder would perhaps interfere with your free will, therefore your freedom to deny is there and perhaps we shan´t try at all to convince you of the wonder God provides with the Holy Fire.

I suspect it’s manufactured to create a cold fire, Yea there is such a thing look into it. When I was younger I used to light my hand on fire, first I would drench my hand with isopropyl alcohol then shake it off and light it with a lighter, the fire would burn cold and I could leave it on for 5 to 10 seconds or often until the fuel burned out. It wouldn’t burn and felt cold until after a few seconds then it would get hot after the gassed heated up enough. To each his own have faith in whatever you wish, the heated gasses are somehow being defused. Let me take one candle and hold it over your hand with that same holy fire, I’m very curious.
Lying signs and wonders, we are told these will happen. The real holy fire is the infilling of the Holy Spirit speaking in tongues, Acts ch 2.

This is an example of making the Scriptures say anything you want them to say. The truth is there is nothing about this miracle in the Scriptures. Why should there be? You sound like a silly evangelical.
70 AD.... It is this Denomination's Claim that this HOLY Fire Comes From Heaven to Light the Lamps and Candles of the Faithful. And it is also Their Claim that This Miracle Only takes Place with Their Denomination.
