so no one saw that guy tossing the phone, or her shooting other hijackers, and Makarov is toninig down from shooting an airport to bombing a plane. what a letdown
i mean i saw the same thing but these days it is believable. People have become so tone deaf to details of their surroundings especially when under duress. The mw2 campaign had plenty of plot holes too. When they committed so many war crimes chasing the guy only to get him and not do anything to get the info they wanted lol. Writing has become lazy.
You could say the same about MW2009. Passengers in a panic are not reasonable.
He literally did No Russian on the Verdansk stadium, and lured TF141 there, just to blow up the Verdansk Airport afterwords as a diversion. He also made it seem like he threatened the airport, but then attacked the stadium instead, but did both.
Every entry has been a downgrade since MW2019.
There aren't any faction fights anymore, it's all just tacticool espionage covert ops bullshit.
There's no warfighting happening and I doubt it ever will.
That's why it feels like a downgrade. By prioritizing realism over fun - we lost what made the OG MW series so good. The fact that it was WAR.

@@ChandranPrema123 the point of the mission from a story perspective was to frame the states and convince the Russian government that the Americans commited the terrorist attack, hence the catchphrase: No Russian. That's why you play as an undercover C.I.A operative and get killed at the end. They find an American body and cross reference with said CCTV footage... You get the point. This mission is like that, but instead of America being to blame, it's something different storywise. Not enough context to explain, but it's about its shock value rather than the story lore, and No Russian still takes the cake on that one.

@@alexanders1330 You can actually jump out of a moving jet. The most famous example is DB Cooper. It's obviously extremely risky but is possible and SOF do practice it. The whole Mile High Club mission at the end of COD4 illustrates this (although obviously a real hostage rescue mission wouldn't be nearly as violent, and there is little need to jump out of the jet when the jet can be clipped out of the sky).
@@DaveSmith-cp5kj I think his main point is the speed. I don't think you can jump out of a plane traveling more than 170mph without special equipment, and even then, you're lucky if you don't just get sucked back against the plane.

With this mission you can actually see how stupid people are. Also if I was Samara I would just jump out of that plane.
Firstly, they were all panicking and you can't control a plane full of panicked passengers, secondly, the other guy was still holding her arms so there was little chance she would've been able to jump.

Ironically what is more likely (and has happened) is the TSA letting in actual explosives or a handgun through the security checkpoint and only being noticed after a passenger alerts the flight attendant.

When Farah and Makarov are talking to each other, it sounds like they're trying not to wake up their parents sleeping.
This mission is completely different to the original No Russian in this mission, the passengers screaming sound so realistically, and not to mention No Russian is based off 9/11 and regardless of hijackers on the plane. This mission reminds me of the movie United, 93. Based off the attacks.
It's a reboot and has a different universe. Despite the character Price, Soap or Ghost. They just put them in for fan service. The complain of you wannabe fans is laughable

I really think they just need to stop the "We can make something as serious and better than No Russian!". No Russian worked because it had none of that in mind, no one expected it because it was using it to tell the story and the reason the war happened in the first place. It's like Disney Star Wars with Order 66 where they keep trying to one up it and or reference it 24/7 all to the point where it's no longer feeling special anymore.
It's a shame since you think when you're in a rebooted storyline you'd try and take a different approach but in the end it's basically the same as the old storyline just with more characters alive instead of dead. All these characters you see in the campaign will lead to bundles aswell so no one feels unique or special anymore.
except that og mw2 story was also goofy, unless you believe russians immediately paratrooping into the us completely makes sense...
@@PieroMinayaRojasThe entire game was literally an action movie and that was the entire point, so when No Russian kicked in aswell as Shepards Betrayal both changed things up and gave you the reason as to why you wanted both of them dead.
Modern MW series seems like it has an identity crysis where it's trying to be a serious "realistic" tactical game/story aswell as have goofy action moments, then it wants to retell the og story in a more serious tone, then it wants to have things be an action movie like OG MW2 everything is just all over the place and it really feels like they have no clue what they want to do with the story and gameplay.
It honestly feels like Warzone is the only thing keeping COD alive while they butcher their own campaigns,multiplayer and side modes all with a poor anti-cheat system filled with hackers. That's why no one can get into COD nowadays and keep going back to the older games, back when things were simple and made sense.

I didn't understand fara destroying the black box. It would have showed the hijackers opening the door and not much else. Also you can start this mission and walk away. Doing nothing has the same impact as playing. If she truly wanted to save those people, she could have yeeted out the open door.
