    It handled everything really good. CF Moto's 800cc Vtwin sure has a nice rumble to it. Looking really hard into a ZForce 800. The question is Trail or EX?

      Well, the EX won’t fit on the 50” trails but would be better at the high speed stuff. Up to you, my man. 😀

    Thanks for the video ... I was hoping for a review or comments on how you enjoyed (or not) the CFMOTO ... I'm shopping for an affordable (wifey approved) toy !!!! LOL ... Thanks and Cheers !!!

      Loving it so far. It keeps surprising me with its capabilities and it’s not even broken in yet. Cheers!

    I dig Seep Springs and ride out there often on dirt bikes. I noticed you didn't show the new end section of the first green trail you ran. I bet that was really tight. I am looking at getting an 800 trail for out there and at Penrose commons. Glad I came across your vid.

    • @ark6959
      @ark6959  Год назад

      That was really tight! We ended up getting a wider machine because they are more stable. But now we can’t ride 50” trails any more, lol

    Looks fun up there! Did you install some permanent racing stripes down the sides of the new ride!? Some tight squeezes! Any single track up there?

    • @ark6959
      @ark6959  3 года назад

      Sure did! I was thinking it would be fun on the SurRon, too!

    • @ThePhotofred

      There is one trail that is a black trail that should be single track, but as of this year there are no single tracks there. Penrose Commons, not far from there, is adding in some nasty single track.

      Definitely a different kind of fun, but it’s still fun! Yeah it was around 65 degrees yesterday. Expecting snow tomorrow 😖. Thanks!

    This reminds me of a time I was out dirt biking and we came across a 4x4 club where this new guy brought out his brand new Hummer to hit the trails. Everyone else had purpose built Jeep’s and trucks. He was scraping the new paint on that Hummer on every tree and rock! haha he said “that’s what it’s made for!”

      @ark6959  3 года назад

      Lol I scraped the “new” right off of it on this ride!

      It was a great choice for a 50” machine. The only drawback is the intake system. The air filter clogs really quickly. Overall it’s a great machine for the money. Cheers!

    I’m seriously considering getting one. Any issues? And are there Cmoto groups in the Colorado Springs area?
    Regards
    Dave

      So far it’s awesome! I’m still breaking it in but plan to use synthetic oil and better coolant. I also replaced the paper air filter with a properly oiled foam filter. The only complaints I’ve seen are from people who abuse them and fail to do the maintenance.
      I’m not sure if any groups in COS. I just look at RUclips videos lol

    • @ark6959
      @ark6959  3 года назад

      Update: the big issue that I’ve seen is the intake location for the air box. It’s in a very dusty location and requires you to change your filter after every ride. I built a new air filter box and relocated in the bed behind the passenger seat. Two rides with the new setup and the filter looks almost fresh!

  • @duck9191

    Tight fit because it's 53" at the doors, I found that out after I bought one... Still does fine on 50" trails but will get me a ticket in MI if the DNR checks. The only issue I have with ours is the air filter clogging every 50-100 miles from dust due to where they put the stock intake.

    • @ark6959
      @ark6959  3 года назад +2

      Right? The intake is in such a terrible place. I’m working on my own intake relocation and I hope it works! If it does, I’ll make a video. Cheers!

      I am also in MI, but I believe it is measured at the wheels. No problems yet with DNR, been lucky so far

    • @duck9191
      @duck9191 3 года назад +1

      @@davidlaberge9498 even at the wheels it's over 50. The last Dnr officer I asked said it was overall width, probably would depend on the person that stops you.

      @@ark6959 I put a PVC snorkel out the bed, which made a huge difference. Would recommend it for sure.

    Looks like fun. I love my 50" sxs, but haven't actually had it on a 50" trail yet.
    Your videos would be better with your camera mounted a bit higher for a better view of the trail. Looks like you are using a chin mount, look into getting a side mount on the right side of your helmet.

    • @ark6959
      @ark6959  3 года назад

      It’s pretty fun on the narrow trails! I’m still figuring out camera angles. It’s challenging to really get a great view because of the wide angle view of the GoPro. I’ll put a side mount on next!

    • @kirksachs
      @kirksachs 3 года назад

      Yea I've tried rear roll bar, front roll bar, top of helmet, chin, and side mount. I like side mount the best because I like to have a bit of the inside of my vehicle visible, but still most of the trail. Rear roll bar I get too much vehicle, not enough trail and myself and my passenger block a lot, front roll bar is all trail, top of helmet is too high, front roll bar right in the way, and chin puts the steering wheel in the way and the hood blocks the trail .
      Side mount for me is perfect, and being helmet mounted looks where I'm looking on the trail so I get a better video in turns and such. I use the official GoPro side mount, it let's me put the camera on top (right side up) or below (upside down) the mount, I attached it to my helmet thinking I would put the camera right side up, but ended up liking it better upside down because those few inches lower gave a better view imo.

      @@kirksachs the only thing about a side mount is that you get the visor in every shot. I’m going to try to avoid that!

    • @kirksachs
