I selected a year ago on purpose. When I came home today this episode was playing. When Ben said you 2 travel to meet people I was suddenly taken back in time.....to my years on Oahu. Polynesians and Asians who inhabit the Island(s) are welcoming in the same way your Balinese hosts were for you! Tears ran down my cheeks as I recalled that feeling I know your felt by being "adopted" for a short while by locals. I worked at Wheeler Air Force Base while living there. The locals would always bring me and others the tastiest of food. They had such pride in giving me a plate of Pansit (angel hair pasta dish) that was out of this world delicious! Thank you for documenting your experience they brought back so much Aloha brada Ben and sista Ashey!

I can relate. I first lived in Mexico 33 years ago. So much less commercial and less crowded. Now, everywhere caters to tourists in my area, and even the ruins have shops in them to sell junk souvenirs. There are undeveloped Beaches and Ruins, you just have to look and know! Thanks guys.

I travelled around Bali about 30 years ago and stayed in Ubud for a few weeks and the town was starting to get a little touristy, but way less so than Kuta and still quite natural. But it must be crazy now! But the Balinese are awesome people. Great video!

@sailing nahoa love your videos! have a safe and fun travels. maybe visit costa rica after your loop and family. easy flight from east coast, lots of beaches no people, waterfalls, quiet places, is what I like most here, and nice stable weather. one house you could use is called sunrise sunset retreat. Your ending those people are in the first 64mm film movie Baraka which is amazing.

I worked and lived in Bali and Indonesia. My friend was the Indonesian Ambassador to China. He shared with me that the performance at the end of your video used to be performed traditionally. There used to be a lot more blood and stabbing but changed it because clearly that would be too much for tourists :)

I am watching this video and reading comments while sitting in Bali airport waiting for my departure. TBH, I just want to escape. It is super hot and crazy humid at this time of the year (December). Super crowded. Terrible roads and traffic. Rip off prices. There are far better less known tropical islands in Asia. I will not visit Bali again.

I think Bali has many different experiences depending on where you stay and what you visit. The touristic places like Kuta, Seminyak, Canggu, Sanur, Denpasar are too crowded, but you still can find desert beaches and pristine places with little to no one and experience the culture and the Balinese people.
You guys deserve a show on the National Geographic channel. I love how you 'High 5' the kids along the road and they seem to love it. Wayan's (x2) house/ compound was gorgeous.
Diesel, gasoline, whiskey... they all make great fire starting fluids. Bali, what a cool place. I'll probably never have the chance to go there. Another great video and thank you for sharing.
