You are 100% right about 'rules' Annemarie, especially with stripes. I have wide hips, horizontal striped tops are my friend as they balance my figure when worn with plain bottoms. I think the trick is about skimming, not clingy and not baggy. Anyway, great advice here as ever, thank you. Xx
Good tips, thank you. My style changed for the better when I shortened my tops (cropped to the waistband of my bottoms). I'm pear shaped so the rule of thirds rocks.
LOVE THIS VIDEO!!! What great tips and examples. One thing this USA lady wants to know --- CARROT JEANS??? Are we discussing a synonym for barrel jeans??? I bought a pair and took them back. My husband told me they looked like hill billy high water overalls, top chopped off. I had to agree, so back they went. Yours looked great, but I think a lot of times they make a women look like Yosemite Sam of cartoon fame. I will be putting a lot of your ideas into practice in my wardrobe. Thanks again.
You are fabulous. New subscriber. I think I found you, as I’ve been watching MM styling these last few weeks. She’s also fabulous. The algorithm must be working. 😂
@@Myover50fashionlife too busty these days. I’ve gained weight in stomach and bust and my main concern is camouflage. Of course I don’t want to look like someone threw a blanket over me. Only solution I have found so far is tops that come to where my stomach is widest. If longer, it makes my legs too short. It is a precise point though, meaning I have to alter every top. Half tuck might work sometimes but I feel silly and too contrived.
My husband tried to buy me the watch strap bracelet and got an email telling him he would be charged $39 / month, every month, with the money held for me to chose more jewelry! It's now taken him more than half an hour to try to cancel. The instructions told him to click a button that doesn't exist on the page the instructions sent him to.
oh no. its not a subsciption service. how odd. There must be a subscription option that he accidentally pressed. if you have a further problem let me know and i will contact them.
Hi I have just seen that they do have a ssepate subscription offer called AL Luxe so I guess he clicked on that . its quite hard to find on their website. I hope he cancelled ok.
The green bodycom dress it seems to show abit of mammary gland, not every over 60 elegant ladies would suit or wear that typically of dress The wrap blouse is nice but not navy the orange alot brighter colour. Just my opinions
I turned 60 this year. I wear a size 10 in pants. I gave birth to 3 children and later had to have a c-section type hysterectomy. even at 136 lbs, I have a pooch in the tummy area. I want to tuck in my tops and wear a belt. Should I just go for it and let the haters of my pooch just hate it? Asking for advice on this subject. Also, the hemline of your daughter's dress has a V pointing downward, elongating her legs. Or I think it does.

Very helpful video! Nice to see examples and it really helps with comparing items and styling!❤
I really like how you “analyse “ how, and why the rules work. Thankyou.
Great tuck tip! I hadn’t seen that before as I’ve only recently started watching styling videos. Gosh learning soooo much!

Great tips! Thank you 🩷
Such a useful video to help us to work out why an outfit isn’t looking good and what we could do to improve it.
Have you considered ditching the beige? I think it tends to wash people out or make us looking faded.
So very clever! Thank you!
Good information
Good post ❤
Very interesting and helpful x
Ooooh that brown belt with the striped blouse 🥰 I love that. Brilliant advice as usual 👏

I think barrel are more exaggerated.
Carrot jeans or tapered even are a way to wear barrel type jeans/trousers without the volume, they are a pared down version and suit more people imo
Helpful video, thank you 👍
Enjoyed watching this one a lot. Great info that made a lot of sense. 😊
Glad it was helpful!
Great visuals! These balancing tips really are good! Thanks! 😊
Glad you like them!
Love your blouse
I am neither petite, nor wider, but I still love your videos 😀. You have such a nice 'grounded' energy. ♥
I appreciate that
Had just ordered the Seasalt Janelle Waterproof coat before I watched this! Think I prefer the parka........ watch this space :)

Oh that's fantastic. Thank you so much for telling me and for supporting me.
What if you can’t lose a stomach? Can’t feel comfortable tucking in the top?
Wrap tips are a good answer

I understood the point to be how to add a jacket layer to a style such as this dress. It is an example, not a suggested dress for everyone.

The dress is asymmetrical so does not have a v hem. But that's not why I was showing the dress but to demonstrate the belt effect . 🙂
