Hey Molly! You were amazing! Your opening scene was so much fun to watch. I loved your character. I was the casting director and had a small part in the flashbacks as one of the parents. I'm blown away by your performance.
YOU WERE AMAZING! That turn in the beginning was a nice touch. It was like you were this evil excited creature that had a secrete, so excited to see him but for dark reasons and you had this little girl type of attitude that was so true to the film because of the backstory at the birthday party. And you're saying this rhyme to Tom and talking to Garrett in rhyme and it's subtle and yet not. I just wrote on here that you and Claire are total opposites and how that got Garrett to act a certain way in front of you two. Total opposites That was so interesting. Is there going to be a Luring 2? That balloon goes back to the house so it's open ended.
You were incredible! That first scene was so...I was on the edge of my seat. The way you turn around and have the mask over your face. Your laugh and everything. I'm very impressed with the acting. And the story behind your character was well done.
This film is about Narcissistic Personality Disorder and I think it's very well done. I knew a couple very much like Garrett and Claire where it was just full of manipulation and one sided, When you're in love and you make excuses for your spouses bad or questionable behavior, you can't see the faults like people outside the relationship. The way this film takes you on this trip was very interesting. I loved how they re-introduced the tall man at the bowling alley and Jennifer was exciting and unpredictable. Very well casted. Good for creating conversations. Well done!
I was raised by a narc dad and wimpy mom so co dependent. I’m a pretty effedup adult just realized all this in the past few years. God help me, God knows the health care ( especially mental) system is bs. God help us all in this
I loved it. It’s not your normal horror film, creepy, suspenseful and weird. The kills have more weight because of its psychological thriller nature. The ending is a really satisfying.
Oh wow this movie was creepy and different. I liked how the characters backstory was developed like how Tom gets infatuated with the red balloon and how the red truck plays a part in luring these characters. The bowling alley scene was awesome, that guy behind the counter was perfectly cast and the way the tall man enters the frame when Garrett is sitting down, cutting off his head in the frame was well done because we don't see his face until he sits down to join Garrett. Good stuff.
Thank you!! We really went out of our way to produce a film that would entice horror fanatics who are into something a little different so I’m happy you enjoyed it.
Awesome movie, thank you for posting. I think this should be in its own special category of genre because it's a psychological thriller but there's this undeniable flavor to it that makes it very different. Good cast, good directing, worth the watch.
Thank you for posting this. The suspense was really good, the characters were interesting. The way the red toy truck and the balloon tied into the story with Tom and Garrett at his birthday party makes this film more interesting.
That's awesome! England and Ireland are incredible places with awesome people who like good movies. Thank you for watching. We had so much fun making the film. It's a little different so it's cool to see people are liking it.
I really liked it. Doesn't spoon feed the audience. Overall the film is suspenseful with some shocking scenes that doesn't rely on gore. More of a mind fu*k.
The movie was very interesting especially exhibiting narcissism at its entirety. Trying not to give away any spoilers but this is a decent movie. I would recommend it if you like mystery.
The first movie I am watching about narcissism that actually succeeds in showing how is the perversion and the high they get in torturing their victims. Reality sometimes matches the fiction. Brilliant subject for a horror movie. Just loved it. Thank you so much for sharing.
I absolutely loved this film. The suspense is really well done, wasn't expecting that. Well produced also. And the sound design was very well done too. I noticed that right in the first scene.

The Luring is a creepy twisted film with a pinch of BDSM but without any nudity. We had a lot of fun making a film for those who love horror with something a little different. Inspired by the short French film The Red Balloon (1956).
@@mariahoekstra370 I agree. I liked it. I think there are some subtle things in this film that can be missed if not paying attention so that interested me.
At first I thought it was boring but as time went by it was an awesome thriller movie full of twists. What happened to Garrett deserves him. I just feel pity on Claire for loving a man who has a mental issue. She didn't deserve to die in that way! 😢 9/10 rating from me.
The filmmaker knew we'd hate certain characters and it was so satisfying to watch them get it. When he puts his arm around Claire at the water, that's him manipulating her. I liked how they showed that.
Sooooooo this was really good. We put it on not expecting much but we really liked it and I really liked how the lights would go down and they were in this isolated world. The movie is trippy as hell. The way he meets Jennifer in the basement was one of the better character intros. Is it a bit weird? 100 percent but that's the main reason why we stayed in it. The weirdness made it creepy. I also think they want us to feel a little uncomfortable like when Garrett is obsessed with the way the letter smells and instead of having sex with Claire he would rather be in a fantasy thinking of Jennifer. So I think it's a social commentary about how we as society have become so dependent on social media and how we put fantasy over reality. He has a real girlfriend but is very dismissive towards her and yet will do anything for a women he hardly knows because it's new and he gets to fulfill his fantasies where in his real life he has to suppress that. We really liked it.
I agree, Jennifer's intro was awesome. That really got me interested following up that really messed up opening with that family. I like that this film was weird, And I agree about this being a social commentary about social media because you're right, Garrett only goes up to Vermont to meet up with Jenifer who he hasn't even seen her face and he's willing to risk his relationship with Claire. Poor Claire...lol
Watching from an icy, wintery Cape Town (regarded as one of the five most beautiful cities) at the the tip of the African continent. Snuggling under the covers watching the movie. Take care and stay safe.
This was nice in the fact that there was no Slash and Gore. S and G has been done so much, it is boring. I am 63 and have been a horror enthusiast since about the age of 12. Slash and gore did not exist in horror movies when I was a kid. The worst was a bloody neck in a vampire movie. So, this was nice. A story, no gore. Hope these people make more. Thank you.
Very intriguing. I liked the trailer and enjoyed the film. For me, this film is about how certain men always think the grass is greener on the other side. With social media I can understand how some may think that and thats whats gets Garrett up to Vermont where shit really hits the fan. I really liked it.
Yeah I can see that but still different. I think it's a social commentary about how we as a society are so obsessed with fantasy and often push reality to the side in the pursuit of whatever fantasy we think we can obtain online. Garrett meets Jennifer online and acts very different towards Jennifer than with Claire. I think this ia major problem with social media and the internet in general. He got catfished....lol
Thank you! I appreciate that very much. It's not easy making a creepy weird film in a world where a lot of people like normal and been there and done that.
Everyone seems so eager to share where they're watching from, as if we really care, but hardly anyone mentions if the movie is worth watching. For those curious about my location, I'm watching from Mars!
I thought it was super creepy but in a really good way. Little things too like how they re-introduced the devil in the bowling alley scene how his head was cut off by the frame of the shot. Things like that really got me.
Me too. The guy who played the devil was so good and I felt bad for Claire because she had no idea Garrett was up there for Jennifer and only took Claire as a "just in case things don't workout."
The first and very last scene are after Garrett and Claire go up to the house. This is the kind of film that doesn't dumb down its audience and doesn't spoon feed us. It's creepy AF
I love how there is always one person that always puts in the comments "I always read the comments before watching the movie. How about you"? Just so they can get responses, which obviously gets them some kind of points.
I was creeped out the whole way through but what really got me was the clown on the stilts and the bowling alley scene and the basement scene at the end. What that evil tall man walks into the bowling alley and the frame is cutting off his head and then when he sits down and we see who he is, that was really cool.
The first scene is after Garrett is killed and the last scene in the park is also after his death so the whole movie is kind of like a flashback. Yeah I think the killing continues because we see that balloon go back into the house after the little boy in the park gets hit by the car.
He used her as a backup in case Jennifer didn't work out. He manipulated Claire, letting her think what she wants to keep her close. I think the way they portrayed this type of behavior was really spot on.
Thank you! I am so happy you enjoyed The Luring. I love that you think it's creepy because that's what I was going for. I hope more people in Uganda watch it. That would be so cool for me to know people across the globe is watching something I made.
Dang... I know this is just a movie but as a parent with an autistic child this really is one of my biggest fears.. Really tugged on my emotions and fears...
I actually worked with autistic children in Sea Cliff Long Island and loved the group I worked with. As a filmmaker I needed to write something that would disturb me and hurting a child, especially with autism is probably one of the worst things anyone can do. It's not easy reaching deep down into the dark fears and putting it in a film. But no harm to anyone, the kids were so great.

I loved the movie. Thanks for posting this. I love a good spooky movie 🎉
Thank you! I had a lot of fun making it. It's weird and not everyone like weird...
That movie not only surprised me, it was creepy as Hell.
Thank you! We really wanted to make a creepy and weird film so I’m happy you enjoyed watching it. Happy night nightmares.
@@Kpictures_NYC You guys did such a great job. I really liked the acting and the plot.
@@Kpictures_NYC Oh my god you did an amazing job. I really enjoyed this movie. Are you going to make a part 2? You totally could.
Very well done 👍 the actors were great, the visuals were great and I wasn’t expecting the female to show up downstairs😮❤😮
That's awesome. Where did you watch the film from?
@@Kpictures_NYC hi from an iPhone here in the southern US! I really did enjoy the film !
I liked it. Was confused about a few things but I’ll mull it over. I watched it in Lees Summit, MO. USA
I don't. I make up my own mind and typically drawn to things most people aren't.
Watching from Indiana USA.
I love the fact that the man was open to them about what happened in the house
He wanted to see their reactions I guess. He's the devil.
That man was pure evil
Used her
Always mean to her
It's so beautiful outside dude couldn't take it anymore 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
thanks for sharing ! enjoyed it !
I was creeped out the whole way through but what really got me was the clown on the stilts and the bowling alley scene and the basement scene at the end. What that evil tall man walks into the bowling alley and the frame is cutting off his head and then when he sits down and we see who he is, that was really cool.
Lying im Bed and watching the movie.I like it a lot...really good ....
Greetings from Germany
Thanks for the upload
Thank you for watching! We had so much fun making this film and so happy people like you enjoyed watching.
Wow!! What a great movie! Uncomfortable to watch, but in this movie that's a good thing. Great acting by 'Garret'. Highly recommend!
It’s good to challenge yourself
Yeah. Garret was smoking hot. I cared more about him than anything else is this stupid movie.
@@hollyperrin7353 I liked the whole movie. It was creepy AF.
@@cinthiabuckerin4492 Garret was hot, though.
No you are not the only person that read the comments, like to get a little hint about what I’m about to watch
Take a chance.
Good movie. So does the killing continue? good movie. Worth a one time watch.
Thank you!!!! We wanted to make a really creepy weird film so we are thrilled you enjoyed it.
The first scene is after Garrett is killed and the last scene in the park is also after his death so the whole movie is kind of like a flashback. Yeah I think the killing continues because we see that balloon go back into the house after the little boy in the park gets hit by the car.
The screen ad for the 8" knife though 🔪 😮
Anyway, watching from upstate NY- Just started. Ill be back with my review.
..didn't do it for me.
That was an old poster that the filmmakers didn't have any control over. I read about it online.
I read synopsis but no comments, I prefer rated by myself. nice day everyone.
It's better than I expected.
Interesting movie, pretty good really. The narcissist coming out is kind of painful to watch, probably just personal experiences.
wow, jerko, if you're going to break up with her, the least you could do is tell her you'll meet her up there so she can leave if she wants.
He took his girlfriend up with him as a backup. He’s a manipulating monster.
He used her as a backup in case Jennifer didn't work out. He manipulated Claire, letting her think what she wants to keep her close. I think the way they portrayed this type of behavior was really spot on.
He reminds of jack nicholson in the shining. Not as good but kind of.
This was a crazy ass movie but I enjoyed it !!!
the dam torch
It's beautifully weird, a main reason why I liked it,.
Agreed
Hey guys I'm enjoying this creepy movie from Uganda and thanks for the master planners your the best.
Thank you! I am so happy you enjoyed The Luring. I love that you think it's creepy because that's what I was going for. I hope more people in Uganda watch it. That would be so cool for me to know people across the globe is watching something I made.
Relations of Jack Torrence and friends? But good movie 😊
I enjoyed this one. Kept my interest.
Yeah me too. It's off the beaten path and very creepy. The suspense was also well done.
So funny how I start with good comments then it changes to bad ones
Usyally
Everyone has an opinion especially when the film is different.
Dang... I know this is just a movie but as a parent with an autistic child this really is one of my biggest fears.. Really tugged on my emotions and fears...
protect them from this cruel world
I actually worked with autistic children in Sea Cliff Long Island and loved the group I worked with. As a filmmaker I needed to write something that would disturb me and hurting a child, especially with autism is probably one of the worst things anyone can do. It's not easy reaching deep down into the dark fears and putting it in a film. But no harm to anyone, the kids were so great.
@@marieduche6947 Exactly. The Luring is supposed to create conversation so I'm glad it is.

You've got to be crazy to believe in ancient fictional contrivances 😂😂😂😂😂😂that people worship and refer too
Sems a rather stupid comment, considering this invisible man in the sky, is suposed to have made us all in his own image. That means he is crazy too !
Yes, just started watching from NYC, be back with decision on like or not. Tom was a mean rotten kid for what he did. Not a bad movie.❤❤❤❤
Pa about to watch ❤
Tom was the little autistic kid, the victim 😢
Not Tom, it was Gareth, the mean one
Also the eerie music is freaky af 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
