Happy 68th birthday to John Michael "Ozzy" Osbourne, who was born on this date in 1948.
Well, here’s another spur of the moment upload that’s guaranteed to earn me a strike, so get it while it’s hot.
I recorded this one last week when I was on a Kramer-era/Spector binge.
The song is, “Shot In The Dark” which was on the, “The Ultimate Sin” album which was released in 1986 and was written by bassist, Phil Soussan.
To me, it definitely sounded like a bass line Bob Daisley would have played.

Check out the original by Steve Overland. As far as i know Ozzy quit playing this song live for quiet some time when he found out that it wasn't a song written especially for him. Something like that. You can correct me. ;) I was so dissappointed. I drove to Enlang from Germany to see Ozzy at Ozzfest and he didn't play it. My night was ruined.

Dude, you are my go to for getting the subtleties in any bass cover I need. Excellent. Check out Phil Sussman's lesson on this and you will see he tunes down a half step so it begins on the "B".

No, I like playing with myself😂. I've done the whole "band" thing and just don't have the time or the patience for it. I prefer to play for my own enjoyment. I will go out and do something once a year or so, just to remind myself of why I should stay in my room.

Quite a lot of singing along in this video, hahaha, Great cover as always. Ozzy's solo career always had great bass players, though they alway got a little outshined by the guitar heroes Ozzy also always had.
