I was more of a Federer fan but seeing Djokovic win the olympic gold was one of the most inspiring moments in sports. For all the reasons mentioned in this great interview. For a guy who has won it all, who is arguably the GOAT in this global sport, to go to such lengths, physically after the operation and especially emotionally, such an inspiration!

Nice comment. But I need to ask you: ¿If Federer (or maybe Nadal or somebody else) would have achieved what Djokovic has achieved, would you still be saying “is arguably the GOAT”? Sorry but I doubt it. You would be stating just the GOAT, period.

A little information about Djokovic and the Olympics.
      I speak Serbian
Djokovic intentionally crossed himself and deliberately pulled his Orthodox cross to display for the cameras when he won because of the DISGUSTING anti Christian evil of the opening ceremony.
He even mentioned the Jewish director who staged the horrific last summer of Christ with "drag queens" by name.
He also called out the writer and drag queen, who were both Jews and not French, who put her hands on the Christian child in the scene, for being anti Christian and anti European.

I was a huge federer fan and it was difficult for me to start liking Novak at first. But once that initial hesitation is breached, I saw the true meaning of supporting a player. One of the reasons why I started going away from federer is when I started seeing how casual he was. He just didn’t go that extra distance for winning a match. Every game where he was trailing 0-30, he would just willingly give away the game. I started asking myself why should I support a player who doesnot fight for each and every point. Strangely then I saw the 2011 RG semifinal which federer in fact won. But I was for the first time glued to how relentless tennis novak was playing. He just played as if every point is a matter of life and death for him. And that’s the first time I thought really neutral about not supporting federer. Federer won the match because of couple of costly error of novak but I was sold by then. He goes that extra distance even when he doesnot need to. He takes the pain like a true gladiator. As a fan, there is nothing more satisfying than seeing your favourite player leaving everything on the court. Win and lose is part of the game but I can proudly say that Novak hardly ever takes a match casually. He respects the game not only for himself but also for all the fans that are cheering for him. Nadal is also almost similar but I just prefer Novak in terms of overall quality across surfaces. What a treat it has been over the last 14-15 years. What a journey.

I think because Federer was earning so much more money in royalties he lost the willingness and drive to really push himself. He was/is rich, successful and everyone loved/loves him. Djokovic has really had to work hard in every aspect of his life, nothing has come easy which usually is the case for true greatness. This isn't a dig at Federer, as he has still achieved remarkable things, but maybe when Novak started really playing super tennis after 2011, Federer just didn't have then the most easiest ride, lost passion and probably bottled it a bit. E.g. wimbledon final 2019.

I'm not a Djokovic fan, but I can openly admit that he deserves every bit of the success that he's had through his whole career (not that the rest don't). He's never had it easy, his relationship with the crowd wasn't always positive, to be fair, he's let himself down on a couple of occasions, but nevertheless, he pushed on and he's an Olympic Champion now. As the time of the Big 3 slowly comes to a close, it's at this point that you can actually reflect on what each of them has achieved, it's incredible how far they have pushed each other...to get to and surpass 20 Slams is in itself bewildering, to say nothing of the many many Masters Titles, ATP Finals, etc.. We've really been blessed with perhaps the 3 most dominant guys tennis has seen to this point and I'd like to say a huge THANK YOU for entertaining us over the better part of 25 years, I doubt we'll witness a rivalry at such a high level, during more than two decades, in our lifetimes again. Each fanbase can have their favorite, but, setting rivalries aside, it's been truly magical!

Regarding Djokovic, and in correlation: Ask yourself
    1) If it was Djokovic instead Sinner tested positive twice, what would ....
    2) French tennis player Terence Atman's hit accidentally a spectator with a ball at the French Open. The very same judge that kicked out Djokovic doing the same from the US Open,.. left Atman to play.
    3) If Federer or Nadal or any other tennis player have achieved what Djokovic has achieved, would still anyone(Media specially) be saying “is arguably the GOAT”?

the protocols truly are the exact same for every player. sinner had the advantage of money to get a lawyer to make sure he was represented through that process. he was completely cleared of wrongdoing -- so why tf should he or anybody else be suspended while that is pending? how is that not guilty until proven innocent? every player has the opportunity to appeal suspension. he won his appeal and was proven no fault no negligence. it's a completely just outcome.

      That is completely FALSE!
Sharapova had been using Meldonium WHILE it was ALLOWED, for 10 YEARS!
Then it Became Banned, and Her Staff did Not Notify her of the Change!
Her Team was Notified in an Email, and they did not tell Sharapova.
Therefore, it was her Staff that were at fault, not Sharapova.
Also, Serena and Venus have been taking this drug which has a different name in the West -under their TUEs, their
      Therapeutic Exemptions!!
      STOP 🛑 SLANDERING other Players!!!

Serbia up 2 i think, 2 minutes left, Dobric all alone with all the time in the world, nobody even close to him, shots a three, misses. That goes in, Serbia goes up 5 and a big chance to win it. USA super super lucky and only won because of raw phisycal talent. Serbia were the better team, anyone with a brain or knows anything about basketball would admit it.
