Love the red hand. It is not explained which makes it even more entertaining.

Time of use load shifting is the battery features I'm most interested in. BTW, Tornado warnings are at best 30 minutes...(I live in Kansas)

The EP Cube uses lightweight, high frequency, transformer inverter tech which offers a far lower peak power capacity, and a shorter life expectancy than longer lived, higher surge capacity low frequency, transformer based inverter chargers. I think that you would have been better off staying with your DIY low frequency inverter setup.

So sketchy that Jason himself was uncomfortable, that is a new level of jank!

You homeowners insurance will be very happy when you clean out your server room. Oh, if they knew about it, they would have already dropped you, OK I won't tell anybody, I promise.

I asked for this review in the "scrambled brain" video because IMO Jason, your content has take a serious decline and I was hoping this would be enough to get you out of the doldrums. Unfortunately, I lost respect based on this being a "paid" promotion which I find difficult to believe the "old" Jason would accept. I have loved your channel and personality for years. All my best for a quick recovery.

Really odd to see Jason making a video and not having a genuine issue. He always prides his reviews and tries to find something that shows a balance good and bad. Sounds kinda like corporate garbage is going on here. @EPCube if this was your doing you are a flawed company with flawed integrity. Companies like that never survive and I hope to see your equipment in the waste bin.

I don't see any difference in any other company in this space.
Anyway, I have this system and would have no problem revealing its flaws.
      1) There is no local API and no way to obtain logging and status. Repeated calls to support yielded no response on the matter. Would be helpful to pull metrics locally for use in my own home automation and energy management stack. Their current approach isn't useful at all to DIYers. And I HATE that I don't have access to my own data.
      2) There is an outstanding issue when using the EP Cube with any sort of panel optimizers. In my case Tigo TS4s. It causes nuisance tripping of the circuit and periodically shuts down PV generation for a few minutes. Very annoying. Workaround is to not use optimizers. Too late for me. I wish I could rip mine out.

This sounds very scripted.....I like BMB, I like his honest product reviews. However if he is being told what to say then this ISNT a BMB review and means EP Cube has crap to hide. Therefore I could not buy their product.

because it is, it is also a sponsored video and they pre-approved it, as seen in the 5 second disclaimer-ish at 2:13

Just another corporate-approved sponsored video. I'd prefer seeing Jason, I don't know, propping it up with flimsy wood beams, complaining about the bright LED light, nearly shocking himself. Much more interesting.
Shame EPCube has no sense of humor.

Stupid Jason wanting to make money. I just don't understand people who want to eat and have a roof over their head. In the words of the Great Gretta Thunberg, "How dare they".

@@tomthebadasscat There are plenty of You-Tubers that that do it full time and do not "sell their soul". All the while racking up subs and living off off the platform. The old Jason was getting there as well by using his slap-stick comedy in conjunction with very thorough and informative videos. I wish him the best and am certainly not in his shoes, but this new was of "making money" could backfire.

No product is perfect. I didn't hear any problems or issues with this product. I come to youtube to hear about HONEST reviews, including challenges that need to be overcome and shortfalls and then make my determination to buy something based on a cost per hassle analysis. When I don't hear ANYTHING negative from a reviewer and I see that [company name redacted] has approved all of the content, I am HIGHLY suspicious about the company and what bullshit they are forcing these reviewers to cut out of their videos. I will NOT be purchasing any equipment from [company name redacted] and I will actively tell everyone I know to avoid companies like this to avoid them as well.

Personally, I only support companies that advertise their products in a negative way. Why should they be able to spend millions of dollars developing products then advertising them with a positive spin. It's just ridiculous that they think they can get away with this shit. It's lucky we have people like you who are well balanced and know how to respond proportionally to a situation like this. God Bless America and all its Karen's. 🫡

More shilling which doesn't even sound genuine as a review....I subbed years ago because of the quality content but lately it feels like 75% shilling / 25% content. I hope you get back to the personal tech content which I would surmise is why most of us are here in the first place.
