Honestly, I don’t think Khorne did this to torment Angron. Remember, khorne is also the god of honor, he hates things like torture and drawing things out the way I see this interaction, he’s giving angry the gift of pure rage. As, that’s how khorne would see rage, a gift. Additionally, it says he let him see the universe as khorne did, again. I see this as khorne allowing Angron to get closer to his new father.
My favorite bit of Angron lore is that he’s named after a friend of the original GW crew back in the Rogue Trader days, named Ron. Apparently, Ron had a real temper, so they jokingly referred to him as “Angry Ron”. They decided to put him into the story (for their own amusement, and to probably piss Ron off in all honesty) and the rest is history
I remember the book. Angron isn't even really mentally present anymore, and he cana barely think of anything without the nails starting to pound again. Khorne keeps him in this state, the perfect executioner. Not a great dad, worse than Big E in my book
In actuality, I think it was Lorgar who was the kindest to Angron out of everyone. He was getting something out of it of course - Angron was a murderblender even before the Heresy - but Lorgar genuinely loved his brother and wanted to help him however he could.
Honestly, Angron should have gone with Nurgle worship. I’m pretty sure Nurgle’s whole thing is that you don’t feel pain or anything bad anymore, and I feel like Angron would be into that
On the one hand, you have an apathetic tyrant who only sought to use his perpetually tormented son as an attack dog in order to get some use out of him before he eventually keeled over from the red-hot spikes lodged in his brain. On the other hand, you have a literal god of murder who brutally invaded Angron's soul and ripped out everything human about him until only the rage and pain remained and puppets him as a rabid beast devoid of identity and ego in order to reap an infinite blood tax with no end goal or justification except death for its own sake. Yeah, Angron should have never left his incubator.
How do you consider that a good or kind thing? He's mocking him, torturing him, showing him what he desperately wants before throwing him eternally back into his own worst hell

Wasn’t there a what if story where Horus was with the emperor when they found Angron and convinced him to beam up everyone instead of just Angron leading to the good ending (for Angron at least)
The fact that Khorne decided to keep the nails in Angron even as a demon kind of negates the idea that he treats him better. He could easily have taken them out but he kept them in and I think they're worse than they ever were when Angron was "mortal".

There’s no escape for him even in death now, kid just couldn’t catch a break.
I love the idea that, despite being the Daemon Prince of Anger and Blood, Khorne is just like the Pyro from TF2. Pretty sure that The Emperor always had his sons' best interest in mind, while Khorne and all other chaos gods (except maybe for papa Nurgle) just fuck around and manipulate their followers for their own inherently evil means.
Honestly khorne could succeed at keeping angron loyal to him by giving him, basicaly a darth vader meditation chamber... but instead of life support its rage. Put it on his ship and just let him take a break after respawning when theres no summoning, or a need to woop another chaos god in the great game.

No one cares thats what he was created for. Other primarches immediately knelt before the emperor and leman russ challenged him to a duel to make him prove himself those are your two choices. If angron really wanted to die he could have bared steel against his own father period. Anyone who sympathizes with a guy who put butchers nails in his own sons are terrible people irl.
There was never going to be a good end. All of Angron's friends had the Butcher's Nails in their heads or where otherwise just as berserk. They called themselves the Eaters of Cities and they roamed around subjecting everyone to genocide. What do you think would have happened had the Emperor beamed them all up to the ship?
This is a big part of why Khorne especially hates Tzeentch, his lies. Yeah Khorne likes betrayal, but this is still often a face to face action and not a backstabbing (whole other story there with his former favorite Bloodthirster). Honest, face to face combat. Khorne hungers for this above all other forms of warfare. In this way, Khorne very well could be the most honest entity in all of 40k. (I'm a Nurglite. So, not like I'm being some fan boy)
That doesn't make Khorne better when his intentions are to kill every one in glorious battle or ignore their entire existence if they can't offer that.
@@ziadeternal4415 No, he doesn't, because he's not adoptable, which is what the original saying was. It was "survival of the most adoptable to their environment". @@benjamintherogue2421 that literally made sense whatsoever. Did I say “adoptable”? No I didn’t, use your eyes and read. Doesn’t matter if he is “adoptable” he is the fittest. Those who are the best at survival survive. Those who can fight the best survive. He is the embodiment of that.

Considering Angron was supposed to be the strongest Empath of all Primarchs, it’s by far the saddest storyline of 40K. This guy had no chance, no choice, and literally is the epitome of when everything goes wrong and nothing goes right.
That's not him being a good father...what a deceptive take. He show him peace for a split second showing what could be...then yanks him out for the pure torture of existance...thats just plain torture.
In the Sandman comic book, two random angels take over the duty of running Hell when Lucifer quits. One angel sees a demon torturing a human soul, and he asks the demon what it is that he's doing. The demon says he's punishing the human. The angel corrects him and tells him that the demons job is to torment the humans for their own good, to make them better. The demon proceeds to torture the human, telling him it's for his own good so that he can become a better being, and the human screams out, "No, that's worse! That's worse!" That's how I view what Khorne did to Angron when he gave him a moment of peace. He made it worse. Khorne is also a bad dad.
Honestly this moment of sympathy from Khorne to Angron was a moment of mercy and sadness from khorne. That angron enever knew peice like Khorne prob touched a string or 2 in old khornes heart
Dude. Khorne does not care about Angron. At all. He only gave Angron that moment of peace. All because, he wanted the Daemon Primarch to have a clear head and not some bloodthirsty beast. By the end of the day. Much like Big E treated Angron. Khorne will dump his ass once he is no longer useful. Though, it would be very much a battle to end all battles. Khorne verses Angron. No,he couldn't save them, instead he wanted to die with them.
@@Fenrisdog999
I don't sympathise with him, I actually despite him.
@@terminallove3531 i was talking to the other guy
There was never going to be a good end. All of Angron's friends had the Butcher's Nails in their heads or where otherwise just as berserk. They called themselves the Eaters of Cities and they roamed around subjecting everyone to genocide. What do you think would have happened had the Emperor beamed them all up to the ship?
Khorne being more honest than the emperor is beautiful irony
@@benjamintherogue2421survival of the fittest is how the universe has always worked. Khorne simply embodies that concept to an extreme.
@@ziadeternal4415 No, he doesn't, because he's not adoptable, which is what the original saying was. It was "survival of the most adoptable to their environment". Fittest came later because that was a mouthful.
Khorne is a force that is not very adoptable. He has one solution to pretty much everything.
@@benjamintherogue2421 that literally made sense whatsoever. Did I say “adoptable”? No I didn’t, use your eyes and read. Doesn’t matter if he is “adoptable” he is the fittest. Those who are the best at survival survive. Those who can fight the best survive. He is the embodiment of that.
i think we can probably agree that Angron is probably the saddest entity gracing the 40k universe
He's a contender, but I think the Emperor has him beat.
The emperor is only a single person and his interest was mainly in leading and advancing humanity. Khorne is an almost omnipotent entity whos interest is only in keeping his followers loyal and amassing more. Especially super powerful people like angron theyre the most precious followers khorne can get. Its not really fair comparing them.
where can i find this art, shits dope
Considering Angron was supposed to be the strongest Empath of all Primarchs, it’s by far the saddest storyline of 40K. This guy had no chance, no choice, and literally is the epitome of when everything goes wrong and nothing goes right.
That's not him being a good father...what a deceptive take. He show him peace for a split second showing what could be...then yanks him out for the pure torture of existance...thats just plain torture.
Angron understands that his entire life he has been a slave. A slave to a world, a slave to an emperor, a slave to a demon.
Too hateful to learn. Too spiteful to prosper.
Ah so Khorne is rather calm and sane despite his obsession with skulls and blood?
You mean Khorne abusing Angron with a vision rather than the cold truth from the Emperor? Nah dude Emperor still a g
what book is this from please??
Artist for that art of angron looking into the blood with that vision of peace?
In the Sandman comic book, two random angels take over the duty of running Hell when Lucifer quits. One angel sees a demon torturing a human soul, and he asks the demon what it is that he's doing. The demon says he's punishing the human. The angel corrects him and tells him that the demons job is to torment the humans for their own good, to make them better. The demon proceeds to torture the human, telling him it's for his own good so that he can become a better being, and the human screams out, "No, that's worse! That's worse!"
That's how I view what Khorne did to Angron when he gave him a moment of peace. He made it worse. Khorne is also a bad dad.
Ngl I want to see a fight between tuska demonkiller and ghazghkull vs angron
Angron was a failure from the start and this is his punishment
It's go's to show that angron was given the worst hand out of all the primarchs
Wasn't that when sanguinius ripped out angrons butchers nails?
It happened twice. With the sanguinius fight and the new book, arks of omen, Angron.
How is showing him everything he wants and then taking it away from him and sending him somewhere he hates being a good father?
How do I read about this? I enjoy the panels
What is this? I founf this randomly and _I'M INTERESTED AF NOW_
Honestly this moment of sympathy from Khorne to Angron was a moment of mercy and sadness from khorne. That angron enever knew peice like Khorne prob touched a string or 2 in old khornes heart
Alpha Legion
Which episode is this?
I think it was one of their videos on the Era Indomitus.
@@kingstickers4227 thanks man
A Pay-Per-View Match no one will be around to watch.
And then he killed yarrick.... and now ALL OF ORKDOM IS GONNA RIP HIS HORNS OFF
Khorne did not give him that peace. Khorne loist control of him because it was the emperor like power that Angron smashed up.
Angron only wanted to die.
Literally everyone keeps taking the one thing he wants away from him.
Don't worry Angy your big brother Lion will help you
nah Ghazghkull killing him permanently would be better.
@@redacted5985 reminds me of a meme of Lion and Ghazghkull met.
Lion asks "what are you"
Ghaz "umm an ork"
Lion "cool we can be friends until Angron is dead...then it gets difficult"
I'm really surprised anger on has a bum rushed Gileman yet I mean, he has the one sword in the galaxy that can kill him permanently
God the femboy angron art in this video lmao
is this from patreon video?
Angron just has to let Guilliman stab him with the Emperor's Sword. Which will kill him and destroy his soul.
Unless khorne decides otherwise, doing any number of things be it manipulating time, removing angron from the situation, etc. Angron is literally part of khorne now. Khorne can just say "no killing yourself like that"
What is that from? I need to read that part.
dude Khorne could've easily taken the nails out of Angron but he didn't. Also showing someone something they desperately desire then taking it away isn't kind it's cruel.
I love angron
