Hero is giving 5 Years or 70000Km warranty on the motorcycle, i think they are quite confident about their product. Maybe it is reliable but if the model fails in the Market, the after sales support will be doubtful even under warranty. I am saying that because we had bought the previous Hero Karizma.
Vikas Sir you are doing a great job by bringing all the motorcycle enthusiasts under one platform spreading your knowledge which no one will ever do along with Tarun bro..Keep doing these podcasts thanks alot ❤️ following you since long back
We can always repair or service our own bikes right from the day after we buy it. However there won't be any warranty if we do so. Manufacturers are giving more and more warranty time now a days, it's good and also bad. Good thing is if we get our bikes serviced/repaired at the service centre within given parameters, then anything breaks we get it for free(whatever is within warranty). Also, we have to go to service centre and pay more for the whole warranty period. We gain some we lose some.
No, I am using cbz xtreme. It is very hard to get it's spare parts outside. I live in Bangalore. Being a mechanical engineer I use to change worn-out parts by my self. It gives my satisfaction. I go to showroom Service centre for parts they go inside after five minutes they come out and say part is not available. Even I go parts distribution centre, what ever you ask they say straight forward NO. I am fed up. Hero should provide it's spare parts online to the customers.
I change the engine oil of my 2012 CBR250 in about 2000 to 2500 Kms, and i never stretch that, also my daily is a HH Glamour 2007 model, even that gets oil change every alternate month ( 30km/day), i put fully synthetic (Motul 7100) in all my bikes. From my experience i can feel that the oil is done as the gear changes become slightly hard and it is not that freely revving. Conclusion is: Change the oil before its fully degraded and avoid more than 90% of the problems. if possible please schedule a checkup of my CBR as i want to keep it for next 10 years. there is some alignment issue that i know of.
7:37 that's the great point👌👌 Even though I was getting timely and good quality service, I got my suzuki access rebored after around 35k kms as the engine was consuming/burning engine oil.
The truth is that the parts availablity depends on the number of motorcycles sold in the country, it is difficult to say that this model will be successful, In our country milage is also a important factor that might lack in the Karizma. If the Milage is below 35kmpl pleope will consider buying a 350cc or above segment.
I am a R 15 v3 user for 7 years now after testing karizma xmr I got love with this bike and now I selled my r15 to buy the xmr and I am a happy customer of thd xmr.
vikas bhaiya when we talk about duke engines , ns200 is also sharing the same engine right ?? and when we talk about speed ns200 and duke200 right now are closer than before right so why are there more issues in Duke and also low mileage when compared to ns200?
Great video. Loved it. Vikas, can you please guide on the below topic? Should we change engine oil at frequent intervals as mentioned by service Centre like 4 months or 6 months once even though I have not clocked more than 1500kms on a FZ V3 150cc for example? I usually complete 2500kms in 8 months time. I ride in city most of the time.
Vikas, which bike you consider the best under 5 to 8 lakhs considering engine durability, reliability, technical aspects,,,in short best as per you & you consider for yourself as well.. specially in between a used cbr650 & a z900😊😊😊😊😊 Regards🎉🎉
Great perspective. An eye opener to those thinking RIP R15. An R15's engine lasts way more than the higher compression ones. Not biased towards any bike though.
I would like to mention 1 important point. Coolant water pump in karizma xmr is on the rh cover. So if you want to clean the oil strainer or if you want to change clutch plate, you have to drain the coolant first before removing the rh cover. This is an unnecessary complication. In ns200/rs200 you can access the oil strainer by removing the drain bolt. The water pump is in front of the rh cover so you can remove it without draining the coolant. Also hero has placed the ecu near the rear monoshock. This exposes it to mud and water splashes. This is a very bad idea. The battery is at the front of the tank. Any person with an allen key could open the battery cover and steal it. I was considering karizma xmr but because of these reasons i think ill opt for rs200.
Vikas sir, what about the xpulse? The new 4 valve engine has a gear slipping issue. Its between 4th and 5th gear. And it has a lot of other common issues and it is a headache to have issues like that. Xpulse is one of the best bike in adv segment, pretty cheap to maintain and good for commutes too, basically an all-rounder. Hero has still not come up with a fix for the gear slipping issue😭
Hero has constructed the bike so that you can fix it by it yourself. Just look at the layout of accessing the consumables on the bike. They are so easily reachable, you dont have to take off the fairing for anything. I dont think hero is losing sleep on you fixing your own bikes because there are so many Heros on the road that their service centers are always working on full capacity. Also warranty is 5years or 70,000 km But great video. I think what you shared is very important for potential buyers to know.
These technical details the so called reviewers never tell,u guys r doing fantastic work. No wonder they don't invite u to the media rides for being so blunt?
Kudos to Vikas as he took the right topic with a right person 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 The DOHC setup with Shims will put a hole 🕳 in pocket. If you dont care then its a different story.. The same setup is also used in CBRs and many people know the cost of spares of CBRs🙏🏻 Hero is also not a generous company in pricing the spares when it comes to premium segment and example is their Karizma (old). Spares are not easily available and costs high. If XMR is a 350 or 400CC bike then its a complete different story as the buyers would obviously ready for maintenance prices. But here RUclipsrs are advertising this bike as to ride it like a Splendor or a Pulsar daily 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻😂 Think twice buyers or wait for sometime. 👍🏻 👍🏻 👍🏻
You forgot to mention 1. QUALITY OF INDIAN PARTS just like in case of Ninja 300 previous parts & quality of parts after localisation in india like brakes, tyres, chain set etc etc& 2. availability outside encourages duplicate parts as well.
Karishma is the best bike, I have sold my R15 V3 to buy this amazing bike!

Waiting for RTR 310 podcast. Much needed one. Please consider doing podcast on Apache RTR 310 ❤
Thank you brother! Sure, ASAP will do.
Tarun is a Precious Gem kind a person for a bike lovers like us, i wish i could get him in Kolkata
0:39 No Sir, Hero derives it’s engine parts (as ckd) from AVL Motor Company situated at Graz, Austria and assemble them in their assembly plants.
Thank you for this information my friend!

How to check coolent,
And if someone buy and use xmr 200 speed upto 60. How many kms it smoothly run engine???
7:37 that's the great point👌👌

Should we treat air/oilcooled bikes as commuter and liquid cooled bikes as performance oriented ?
The truth is that the parts availablity depends on the number of motorcycles sold in the country, it is difficult to say that this model will be successful, In our country milage is also a important factor that might lack in the Karizma.

Awesome unbiased approach !!!!

Also I would like to know how feasible the current claims of service intervals are, 16K kms for speed 400, 12K for the Karizma ?
Make a video with him on Aprilia 457 that is going to launch by the end of the month

Compression stroke is diffrent in Duke compared to NS
Hey Vikas, I feel the 5 year warranty will definitely help and from the reviews, there is no engine heating issue on a hot day
After long time on Vikas channel. And he doesn't disappoints. Good content again.
Thanks very much brother

Something very different and good insights..
How bout Triumph speed 400.. it has also a high compression engine
Best video on xmr
Marvelous video
Higher compression means we would need to refuel with xp95 right?
preferably yes brother!
These technical details the so called reviewers never tell,u guys r doing fantastic work. No wonder they don't invite u to the media rides for being so blunt?
Can you guys pls talk about the suzuki Gixxers 150,250 and vstrom. Pls.
Nissin calipers are excellent.....
Karizma ZMR uses Nissin and they are awesome.....
They can use pads which are economical available outside.....
2:25 😂 sure
Very informative 💯
highly informational! even for layman like me
Thanks brother
Bro I loved your review and your detailed style of highlighting things can you please make a similar review of Honda hness CB 350
Hello Vikas ji and tarun ji plz make a video on Suzuki v strom sx 250.
Will love to listen from you.thnx

This is where Honda engines last noticeably longer, they're generous about their power figures. Smooth, nimble and not exactly all out performance
Vikas Sir is the BEST 🙏❤️
