Been having a nice time with my R3. Done 2500 kms. Does what it has to. Drawbacks - Price Pros - Engine, top end, exhaust note, fuel efficiency, service cost, doesn't get attention cos of its resemblance to R15 😅
Hey hey...Wait...Yesterday me and my friend were talking about R3. He was going to buy. And I thought why you guys dont mk a video on this... Thanks for this... ❤️ from Bhubaneswar.. ( Odisha)
U guys forgot to mention the ninja 300 which is a good buy as its comes with the same amount of reliable parallel twin performance also the slipper clutch is there which is not in the new r3 which is a dissapointment.
Very accurate observation Vikas Bhai. The target customer for the R3 in India are mostly youngsters, and youngsters want fancy features despite the fact that those features are hardly being used after a year and so. But as far as the riding experience is concerned it is one the best. It is globally so popular for a reason.
Thanks Vikas for bringing back Old memories. That was my R3 back then we rode together. Definitely today new R3 doesn't make any sense comsidering the price, design, features. Engine may be long lasting than competition but not a vfm anymore. I wd rather buy R3 in seconds
There is a saying that there is no replacement for displacement. But having said that I still believe that in India Bikes of 300cc to 400cc segment are much more fun to ride compared to a Middleweight or litre Superbike.
I'm from Kolkata and I owe the new R3 black . One thing I'm telling honestly is that I am highly satisfied with the bike , previously I used to ride duke 390. And to be very honest I genuinely don't miss my the ktm after getting the r3 . And about road presence .. I get a quite lot of attention , yes people do ask whether it's gen5 r15 or not as yamaha has set that benchmark of r15 in India. But when they look closer they really like the motorcycle specially the twin headlights . The headlights along with the engine were the main reasons I went for the bike .. as single projector is the new fashion which in my eye is utmost ugliest looking thing
Vikas sir I got a question. I'm 25, I'm thinking of getting a used r3 or a four cylinder bike.I'm not interested in fancy electronics or digital tft. I'm looking for something reliable and a bike I can grow with. If I get a good deal on CBR 650 or Daytona would you recommend these bikes? The last option is r3 only.
Hi Vikas bro, I had an conversation with my friend regarding how good an r3 is but to my surprise he says no that bike is not reliable and every Yamaha is having an speedometer error for about 10kmph(even i have seen with my eye) but I can't accept the fact that r3 is not an reliable bike. I hope you will give an answer being it reliable or not😅.
Let's be honest.. R3 is obsolete in today's era.. Whether national or international.. R3's days r passed over to the new gen.. Still a cracker of a machine (from an owner's perspective)
All these Japanese brands are just fooling the people here in India why didnt Yamaha launch the updated version of of R3 ? The CBR 250 shadow also not to be seen but we get different versions of Activa.

R3 is a good purchase only if you are going to hold it for 5-6 years. If you think you're going to upgrade fast, better get a used CBR650...
