Hi, Your contents are soo helpful . I'm wondering , I have 200 tree blocks placed in AUTOCAD and now i want to replace all those 2D CAD blocks in revit with a 3D revit tree, Do you know a method to do this? It would be great if you could give a advise. ☺
I just did it for my office, I used a plug in for Revit called "typical detail coverter". create a file repository, create views, link the cad, use the plug in, unlink cad, edit what is missing in the detail... and when you insert to a project, use the "insert 2D element from file, and there you will have a tree with a preview window...
why not convert to revit lines either through dynamo or a macro... easier and does not look like a place autocad block when it is printed and yes it is noticible when it is printed
Anyone know how to put a cad file also but in floor view? In the case of the video the person in a floor plan would look as lines that dont make sense, but what if i want to see a cad version of the person in floor plan? Hope someone knows the answer.
This is the zing zing of revit. Cheers mate!
