Drawing my first repeating apartment building at the moment and this video couldn't be more perfectly timed! Excellent explanation on a few tools that I hadn't explored yet. :)
The last part about the link option is very valuable. I prefer linking rather than groups, which invariably will be exploded by someone who doesn't what they're doing. Also groups behave very oddly (like a of things in revit) when you copy or edit them. Also you can't host an element in a group (or a linked file) that is not in the group or link. For example a toilet can't be placed hosted a wall that is not in the group or link.
hi everyone. after i made groupings. the would like to edit exclude one element within the group. i cannot find the exclude icon. can anyone assist where to find or show the exclude icon. thanks in advance.
hey Balkan, I purchased your entire video library - the whole library on your revit course, so i'm not talking like an ignoramus. You really gotta shorten your explanations. way too long. short and sweet is best.
I never understood why I see so less Revit models with assemblies, it's so powerful, all the separate parts I don't like when hovering over the model. Also Groups are a great options, I don't understand why people don't use the tools with the large icons, the developer didn't make it large when it important. Also Parts is a great option, and also not understanding when buying the full version instate of Revit LT and don't use Parts!
Familiar with groups but not assemblies. 18 minutes and I now have a clear understanding of the differences. Very helpful. Thanks so much!
Your content is so great! You’re clear, concise, and each video I get at least one tip I had no idea existed. Thank you!
Thank you so much for your work, BA! I have used groups but not assemblies as of yet. I certainly appreciate your tutorials!
thank you for this video ! didn't know groups were so powerful like that !
Assemblies in Revit, a very handy tool for structural detailing ✌🏽

Make sure to watch this video after precisely 3 minute and fifteen seconds have passed since the beginning. Keep your eyes glued to the screen..
Will the excluded elements in group be counted in schedules?
I havew a question please: If you exclude an item in a group, will it still be computed inside quantities schedule or it will be ommitted?
Thanks

did they ever reintroduce the "freeze view" feature back in? Is it possible to turn live sections into drafting sections or is this still missing?
Been using revit since 18 version to now, but that sounds rather cool. Which version did have this thing you are asking about?
@@raduteodorpetrica2344 back in 2017 and before I think. It used to be part of the Revit Extension package from Autodesk.
