In this movie: Teldrassil (WoW Vanilla) 1 hour in-game ambience and music, without Darnassus area, which will be part of another movie.
Main areas in Vanilla Teldrassil: Shadowglen (Aldrassil), Starbreeze Village, Dolanaar, Lake Al'Ameth, Ban'ethil Hallow & Barrow Den, Gnarlpine Hold, Pools of Arlitherien, The Oracle Glade and Rut'theran Village.
Teldrassil is an island and great tree off Kalimdor's northern coast. It is the new home of the reclusive night elves and a stunning testament to the power of their magic and connection with nature.
In recent times, the night elves have moved their capital to an island off northwest Kalimdor. It was here that the Circle of the Ancients and the wise druids pooled their power to create another World Tree, but on a smaller scale. They called this tree Teldrassil ("crown of the earth") and built their city of Darnassus in its branches. The island takes the name of the "tree" as well, and a twilit forest now covers it.
Teldrassil is truly massive, a huge trunk rising out of the sea and holding the entire night elf homeland, and the capital of Darnassus, in its boughs. The enterprise was not blessed by all of the Aspects, unlike its predecessor. Regardless, the behemoth of a tree dwarfs Nordrassil, large enough that a decent amount of land has emerged atop its gargantuan limbs. Trees, flora, and fauna are now verdantly spreading across the magical tree.
As a Vanilla WoW player, I am capturing the old World of Warcraft atmosphere for eternity.

I remember being a kid and having my mind blown that your game saves where you "log out" lol. I remember starting to play in a cold snowy 2006 and being a total addict. No regrets, I keep thinking about that time to feel good.

Some people have trouble growing up to adults, no wonder so many complain about difficult times, blablabla. Still kids in their heads.
I just remember my first character back than in 2005. A nightelf hunter. I was completly overhelmed by this game and this world. I was just thrown into this world, running around somewhere in Teldrassil with no idea how big this world is. I was just a little nightelf on a tree. Those quests where super hard, not questi or other quest helper addons were available, everything must be read. Hard times, but good times.

Only first character elves know the true excitement of hearing this for the very first time, while fighting gremlins, boars and spiders.

This was my childhood. I spent hours upon hours just exploring this area and being at peace. Forgetting all issues surrounding me!
Listening to this makes me REALLY want to get back into playing WOW, but then I realise that it'll never be the same as it was when I was playing non-stop between 2006-12. WOW really had an almost indescribable/unbelievable magic back then that was slowly lost with each expansion post Lich King. I'll forever treasure the memories I made playing WOW during the golden years, even if those memories are painful to relive considering the world I fell in love with is no more. I know we now have classic servers but I dunno, it just isn't the same somehow. Perhaps it was being a teenager and being exposed to a wondrous world and going on adventure after adventure, exploring incredible landscapes and listening to this amazing music. Back then WOW really felt like a tangible other world (dare I say metaverse).
No other game has come close to recreating the atmosphere of playing WOW back in the day. I'd give anything to go back and do it all over again. It breaks my heart seeing how much WOW has fallen since the golden years, but at least we have the memories, youtube videos and wonderful music compilations such as this.
We were truly part of something magical.

First time I ever played I came down from this massive tree, and I was met with the brightest colors and the most amazing landscape I'd ever seen. A campfire raging and elves and bears dancing around it. Someone on a huge cat came up to me and jumped around. I was in awe. I will never forget it. I haven't played in many many years (mop), but it will always hold my heart strings. I'm so happy to have found your channel yesterday. Thank you for bringing it back to life for me. Game on

Just picked up WoW after 10+ years. My first character ever was a Night Elf Warrior. When I turned it on for the 1st time last night, it all came rushing back to me. The music, the color. Little details I’d forgotten a million times. I’ve been daydreaming about this place all day. This helps. Bless you for this. 😊
it really does soothe the soul to play. especially leveling 1-30 as an alliance character its just so fun and relaxing
Vanilla Wow, the 40 man raids, the hardcore PVE challenge, the open world PvP... That was the peak of WoW and MMOs in general.

already 17 years ago that i started wow with my first nightelf. after 17years wow change to much for me but i will never forgett that time in my life
I have a severe mental health disorder. Whenever things get hard in life, I come back to WoW videos. I haven’t played the game in 14 years but I still feel the same comfort I did as a teenager when I would log on and all my problems would melt away for a little while. I wonder what my guildies are up to all the time, but most of them are unreachable. I didn’t realize that one day I would log off and never hear from them again. 8:10
I stayed here and 100% the place because of the music and peaceful play. Rarely a horde player.
I bought the game as a gift to myself after I turned in the last of my college apps. Now I'm in my 30s, wearing my scrubs and sipping coffee before another day. Even though I don't turn to WOW anymore, I happily listen to its music and think of the world it threw me into. Thank you for this post.

You made me remember vividly my first 10-15 levels almost 20 years ago. I miss this place and I'm homesick somehow. It's wild.
I remember first character (female roge night elf). i created her because i didn´t know how to personalize one to male ahahahahaha. First time i enter Teldrassil i just tear down with joy.17 yrs later i feel the same. WoW is something more than an mmorpg game.
This makes me miss Vanilla. I quit WoW in the late stages of Cata but have always felt most nostalgic about vanilla and to a lesser extent BC. Want to get back into WoW but I think I'll wait for classic servers.

The WoW community has changed a lot. Hopefully the ones that enjoy Retail (and they are not old players) will stay away from Vanilla. They will not understand the spirit & cooperation from Vanilla.
You can try Legion, is not bad. But I have to say, it's nothing like Vanilla.

It felt like magic.
My favorite class to this day because of the starting zone ambience... and the fact that you can spam jump and do flips.
I remember being 10 years old and playing wow for the first time. I made a night elf warrior. I remember just walking around shadowglen for hours on end think that’s all the game had to offer and I loved every second of it. I remember being so engrossed in the game that it genuinely felt like I was physically sucked into the world and I was actually living in it. God I miss that feeling

Hi again, Meisio, I commented over at Thousand Needles. Great job on Teldrassil. I have listened to other zones; I suppose the one I was really looking for was pre-Cata Darkshore, and I found it.
Over the years I myself made video captures of areas, but nothing like what you do. These soundtracks are very detailed, and the audio is very clean. I have subscribed to your channel and will let others know about it.

My first character was a night elf priest, and I held on to that character all the way from launch day of vanilla, to the end of wrath of the lich King where I got server first with my guild on Twilight vanquisher.
