- In this video, we took the plunge and installed new LED headlights from Octane Lighting. I am not a sponsor of this product and do not get any percentage of sales. This video will show you the basic assembly and installation of the product.
I just ordered a set of these for my 1977 Lincoln Continental Town Coupé. I’m quite excited to get them as they still retain the factory bulbed appearance but are so much brighter and safer for nighttime driving. Only thing is, I got an H4 headlight splitter so I could used all 4 lights together as low beam and high beam. That’ll look even nicer and be even safer at night.
Sounds like you've got everything figured out! Let me know how you like them after they are installed.
@@petefromhillcountry3268 Sure! I usually don’t take a lot of time to film RUclips videos but I’ll probably film my car after I install them to show them off a little. I’m really excited to install them and be rid of those awful halogen bulbs forever!
Safer for who? Not incoming traffic!
@@gizzyguzzi They should be aimed down. The inner lights now function the same as the outer ones, low beams shine low on all 4 bulbs this way
@@jack002tuber doesn't really matter, these are garbage, horrible pattern blind incoming traffic
I was just looking at your video Great video. I have a 1966 impala.Twoo and I'm ready to do the headlights.Just the way you did it, but I wanted to ask you. What was the number on the parts With the light bulbs too,, That Way I can order it... I subscribe in your channel. Already.I would really appreciate that.Thank you
I don't have the boxes anymore, but I'm pretty sure they were the set of four and they came with halogen bulbs (prod. 10523). You have to order the LED bulbs to suit your preference. They have several to choose from. Hope this helps.
what about replacement bulbs down the line??
They are available directly from Octane Lighting. That's where I got the LSD bulbs that replaced the halogens that the lenses came with. They're also available on Amazon. I found them there as well. On my car, I have to take out the lenses to replace the bulbs, but that only takes a few minutes.
Ok so it seem that the only led that work well with the headlight is what comes with the headlights i tried another bulb and it sucks bad
That's odd. I bought LED bulbs to replace the ones that came with the headlights and they work fine. What brand did you try, if you don't mind my asking?
@petefromhillcountry3268 auxlito or something like that from Amazon the cut and where the light shine was way off I got home late lastnight and tried the led that came with the headlight it was much better
@@bakeot I know that one some of them, you have to position them a certain way or else they won't shine properly. The Octane lighting bulbs don't seem to require that. Probably due to the way the LED's are positioned? Just a guess.
@petefromhillcountry3268 no you're absolutely right I'm just hoping they last
