Got a 2005 Highlander with the 4-Cyl and it's runs like a champ with 218K.
I traded my 2022 Highlander Limited for a 2023 Highlander Limited, I love the power and the larger screen, they gave me what I payed on the 2022, No regrets!
I have a 22 and I was thinking about doing the exact same thing..the 22 nice, but.....ahhnnnn. Actually thought about trading mine in for a hybrid

Just got mine yesterday. It's so awesome. Feels like a Lexus. I would say the engine is a tad harsh sounding but nothing that seems annoying
nice! put down a deposit for an XLE hybrid peal white exterior and a black interior. was looking at grey interior but it didn’t look that good/appealing

Leased a 2023 platinum coming from a V-8 Lexus GX.. the power is more than enough in the four cylinder turbo, and I only buy Toyota Lexus vehicles they last forever not even concerned about the reliability! Much better than the Korean twins engines are old-school
I love love love my highlander platinum. I know it gets a bad rep for the 3rd row but my 6 year old prefers it and we still have decent trunk space. We aren’t tall people by any means so even I at 5’6” feel comfortable in the 3rd row with the second row seat just slightly pushed forwards. We only have 2 kids, but I can say having 2-3 kids would be 100% fine with a Highlander if you have shorter people in your family. Overall great price in its class and reliability 🙌🏼
I got mine today, really enjoying it. Platinum is fully loaded.
Does it include with block heater ?
The frontseats of my 2018 Highlader are not comfotable. Are they any improved? Tx

The turbo will wear out the engine . Get the V6 while you can. It's butter smooth.

@@CH-tt1jg Heat damage, wastegate wear, added pressure wear and tear, more parts. That's what people complain about but most of the world have been using turbos and ditched most v6's a decade ago and they do fine in Europe and Asia. Widespread turbo use is Only new to us.
Yeah they do fine because the dealer doesnt deal with the repair, its the consumer.

Hi, I was thinking of buying Highlander 2023 XLE model but many of friends told me that it does not give much mileage with Gas and asking me to go for Hybrid. Can you please advise?
We jjst bought one and tbh if you get a hybrid you will save a thousand or somethkng a year but it costs alot more u save enuf with the regular hylander so just get it instead we got camel interior and whitw outside it is beautiful but i hate the back row seats they are very uncomfortable not much room at all esp you put some stuff in the trunk u dont have much space i mean i dont know we just got it but im thinking of selling it and getting something else alot bigger

I just got my xle and I love it . I drove it 300 miles then needed a gas fill which I think is great for this size suv.

Same! The reason I won’t buy one yet. This specific engine isn’t backed by reliability in this vehicle yet.
car care nut mentioned especially about change oil is very important with turbos

Why add cup holders between the seats when u can have them on the doors and add an extra seat in the middle instead of captain chairs?
I think u can have a bench as second row or choose captain seats. So depending what u order they would move the cup holders.
Because every other car has bench seating...

Still no auto dimming side mirrors... bummer! All of Toyota Highlander competitors have it!

Is it me, or does the interior lighting lack in brightness? He may not have adjusted the dimmer. It's pretty dark. My Nissan lights up when I walk up to it and it's not even turned on.

the toyota highlander is very nice but the third row is too small even for children and what is the difference between the hybrid and the regular in terms of horsepower and torque and economy

So. 50k car doesn’t come with electric assist for folding the third row? For the money, if you don’t care about the mpg, get Palisade. It has better features and more luxurious.

So did it get the new Toyota/Google infotainment system (5:37)? Does the infotainment display still dedicate 1/3rd of the display to HVAC settings (such that you can never get full screen Navigation)?
It got the new infotainment System and does not have a dedicated 1/3 of the screen.

Lexus requires premium gas, maybe if you fill the highlander with premium it will put out the same power.

@@TroubleShooter1011 Yes and No. I know that it could be tuned to make that amount of power with premium. I know there are manufacturers that advertise their turbo engine´s power based on premium fuel. They don´t say it thou. For example Ford´s ecoboost engines power are advertised using premium fuel, that´s what it is said on the forums. It makes sense, the manual states that a higher octane fuel should be used for towing and for better performance. Answering "I don't think that's how it works 😆" doesn´t actually express how you think it works or allegedly know.
In fact I´m so sure you will see a bump in power and torque with this engine (being a turbo) that I would be willing to bet on it.

This top of the line Platinum has the same if not less features than a base model Palisade but it costs the same as the Calligraphy Palisade...no bueno!
The base model Palisade has a HUD, Adaptive LEDs, digital rearview mirror, folding side mirrors, torque vectoring all wheel drive, panoramic sunroof, real leather seats, 360 camera, 12.3 inch screen, captains chairs? Holy crap why does the Highlander outsell the Palisade and Telluride combined? No bueno indeed.

@@henryfung4056 I dont care...a Toyota in general is NOT a race car, that's NOT what Toyota does....but the highlander being as big a s a vehicle it is...The V6 was the right size motor and directed the amount of speed for the vehicle...I would know. I have a 22 limited...so for them to take away horsepower.....Ewwwwwww.....make the highlander now a look over....Especially giving the LACK OF room it already provides for the 3rd row to go along with its 21MPG tank.....just not worth the price tag
