Liked your description of vegetal…you pegged the distillery spot on.

Thanks John. There aren't too many distilleries that still have those notes these days so that was helpful 😉

First good review of Jura I have seen...should be good for that age and price.

Yeah... a good review. Not a great one 🙂 Jura still need to do better than this but it is significantly better than we've had from them lately. If you want some good OB Jura you could try tracking down Prophecy (peated multivintage release) or Elixir (playful 12yo sherried release). Those have been some of my favourite 'recent' releases. Honestly, most of the rest isnt good...

Great guess! Well done. Jura Superstition was a bottle I bought about 8 or so year ago before I started enjoying whisky, hated it, Blughhhh I believe was my first words, gave the rest of the bottle to my brother. Only had the 10 since enjoying whisky, but I do have another unopened superstition which I’ll open and will enjoy at somepoint, since whisky is no longer Blughhh 🤣 I did see Tide below £100 recently, was tempted but I just don’t get enough urge to commit.

Ah Jura Superstition. I remember well the days when that and Jura Origin were almost permanently on offer at £18 in pretty much every UK supermarket 😉

@@WhiskyLock routing through my unopened stash, came across an Jura 10 Origin in addition to the mentioned Superstition. I’ve either got to drink quicker or buy less!

The variety that you get from different Scotch in general is amazing. Things like bourbon and brandy are great but I think the range of flavours from Scotch means that it will always be my passion.
