The water at the beach is so beautiful. It’s crystal clear when the tide comes in. Best snorkeling. Sailfish Marina is awesome!!! But it’s really dangerous because I knew a young woman who was playing frisbee and stray bullet killed her. On the beach. It was soooo sad. She was with her fiancée and were going to get married a few days later.
A friend used to rent bounce houses out. He was there packing up the gear when some guys were circling around the block checking him out. A little girl on a bike had to tell them to leave him alone because he was there for the kids. She name dropped a certain name, those guys backed off and she escorted him out of the area.
My Mom lived at Broadway and 34th(If I remember right). I would visit her in the summer for 7 weeks(the 80's). Loved it. Felt safe to me. I was a little white girl in my pre teens and teen years coming from a small town in Colorado of 3500 ppl and one stop light. I would walk to the convenience store on the corner all the time always felt safe. Had one gentleman on the block who would stop by and just make sure I was ok when my mother was at work. He was never inappropriate also the Cuban couple across the way were very kind to me. I do remember the convenience store on the corner did get robbed once while I was there. But for the most part it was beautiful area. Would love to move to Florida. Actually like the Buckingham area.
This guy is trying to show the negative of city instead of talking about the positive of city. If it was that dangerous you wouldn’t be riding around it. I’ve lived in this area a very long time your information is deceptive
from Washington state Seattle area. was in palm beach for a week and i loved it. i watch your videos to remind me of the trip. the same streets i was driving on. didn't see much gang activity but definitely saw some homelessness and drug use but that is everywhere. it was like paradise to me so the sweetness could fool you. i wondered how could you be in a bad mood living there? thanks for the videos i can't wait to go back.
Born and raised here ! Love the city and the progress that's been made. Slight concern for GENTRIFICATION but I have faith that our city/ council persons will fight and keep our city OUR city.
Funny how he say the dip in the middle of the street in the heights is to slow down traffic. When it’s cause the pipes & roads were so fkd up they had to put it for flooding purposes. Speed bumps slow down traffic but that would also slow down high speed chases & they don’t put them in 🤷🏽♀️
I miss my old home there. Back in the 80's nothing was as cool as this place. Miss the Thunderbird on Saturday mornings ! Man when you cross the Blue heron and see the Ocean.. And it’s about to get 10x more expensive to live in Riviera Beach because housing everywhere else has gotten out of price range and now that’s going to drive lots of money into it
My fear is gentrification driving up the rents as New Yorkers move down and can’t find housing. Hoods in Miami are now showing run down homes in hoods going for $1,000,000 that’s one million dollar single family houses. Once that happens you will see anyone who Owns a house in that area will become millionaires overnight but anyone who is leasing a home from a landlord paying rent , will have to come up with $8,000 dollars a month or be evicted lose their home. Anyone with a salary less than $100,000 per year will suddenly not be able to afford to live in Riviera Beach, Florida. It’s going to look fancier in Riviera Beach but it’s going to be hard on you locals
Man this make me want some conch fritters, pork and chicken souse, fried sand perch with pigeon peas and rice, boiled peanuts, grouper sandwich, turtle eggs, pickled sausage from the Stank Sto on Barack Obama (Old Dixie). A tall can from Tiger Sto, and maybe a bottle from the liquor sto... Oooooweeee boy look at heah!!🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾💯
I grew up in South Florida in the 90s and early 2000s. Lived in Lake Park a couple blocks from the start of Riviera. I remember when you could drive down Broadway at any hour and find the boys outside the store and a cop arresting a lady of the night so to speak. Between that area and Palm Beach Lakes and Sapodilla (and surrounding streets) I lost a lot of loved ones to the dope houses. Tamarind was horrible. It's weird to see them cleaning it up, but it's good as long as the long time residents have a place to stay. Obviously that area was riddled with extreme poverty. It seems like they've pushed out everyone but the upper end of the tax bracket. But such is gentrification in Florida.

Hey man you and your girl need a history lesson so here it is! Please stop trashing places like Rivera Beach! bro! I grew up there right in the neighborhood you filmed. The park with fence around it has always had a fence since 1975-76. In fact it looks nicer now than when I used BBall there everyday! I went back home after graduating from the University of South Florida in 1982 and the city was still nice! Even now it doesn't look bad, we're is the trash on the ground like most slums and were are the gangs standing on the corners, I didn't hear any police cars either! So what everyone was sleeping? U & your girl keep saying hood that don't look like no hood I've seen. I'm not saying it's not bad but we all know what CRACK did across the US it created poverty crimes! So why don't you just say if they could just create jobs for young kids and concentrate on gang mediation Rivera can be a nice place to live instead of driving through and calling it a hood! BTW, no one ran up to your car! You guys make it seem like you can't even walk the streets! C,mon man! If this comment seems like a lecture it is! I just hope it's not as bad as you two sheltered people make it out to be!!! I'm from Monroe Hights so feel free to call me a college graduate Thug.
