Hm, maybe sergal or wickerbeast?
I think it would be cool if you did a deer
I'm making my 4th fursuit head which is a feline. I need help on deciding what shape I should do for the ears. Do you have a templates or patterns?
Hmm, perhaps a Bovine base. You know the cattle family 🐄. Bulls, Dariy Cows, Longhorns, Brahmas etc.
Really nice tutorial! Could you maybe try an Ampwave fursuit head?
I just want to say thank you so much for making all these fantastic tutorials! You've made it so much easier and less daunting to start fursuit making.
Yep!
This is insanely helpful! It's so hard to find good tutorials for EVA bases.
First time suit maker and I am so grateful for this pattern! Made a couple of alterations for my sona (also 7 & 8 did noooot wanna meet up properly for me lol) and made the nose out of foam, but soooooo useful as a general guide! Thank you
I gotta say. It feels good to watch another tutorial again. Lol.
Also Eva foam tutorials SUPER NEAT
TO BE CONTINUED...
CAN'T FECKING WAIT, you have to use that one iconic song.
Nah it's like CAT FUEKING YOU
it amazes every time me how you translate the pattern from that tiny little model to real size!
Aww he already looks like a Cute Boi!!!
Looks like I’m buying another pattern today lol!
HE LOOKS SO NICE AND LIGHT TO WEAR
Love this tutorial, but I had to mute the video as the music was too hard and distracted me too much.
So gonna use your tips one day. :}
Thank you so much! Ive been trying to find this kind of tutorial! Thank you!!
Bought this pattern a little bit ago, very excited to start my first head :) thank you so much for sharing the patterns you do!
Can you cover that eva foam fursuit with minky? That's gonna be awesome! :D
I love watching your videos like im going to do it my self but im not talented like you😂
I just bought the pattern amd am ready to make the head!! Btw i love ur videos! Ur so talented!
Update?
Yayyy i was waiting for an eva foam one because i (normal foam for heads) ran out.
So. Satisfying.
oooh i've been looking for an EVA foam mask for ages, thank you so much!! is there any chance that u might make a feline EVA foam mask? if so i would defiantly buy it!
omg thank you your videos are awsome and i use Your tutorials to help me make my fursuit head your the best!!!! UwU
That's exactly what I'm looking for thanks!
Noice, very much satisfying. 👌
Mugiwara can you make tutorial how to make fursuit horse head base ? that would be very helpful for me :)
This is a really good tutorial! Thank you, and keep it up!
You can make a video of how to make a horse fursuit ?
Prob gonna make a fursuit that resembles my art style lol
Well done!
I would totally mess up and mix up the peices lmao😅😅
Same lol
Same lmao
Same
me too lol
is there a way i can attach this to a bucket head base and how can i add the insides of the mouth(teeth and tongue) while still leaving a gap air-hole. Also other than the head and jaw band is there a way to get the mouth to open in way so i can fit a water bottle through the mouth?
Maybe a feline eva foam base would be great!
I still watch even tho I have no desire to make a dog
thank u for the cool tutorial!!! this is inspiring
I just finished making everything in the video but now I’m confused with what to do with the back of the head, is there a template for that or any advice?
this is so underrated
Did you post another video on putting fur on head bases done with this method?
No, but it's the same method as other head bases
Hiya! Thank you for the tutorial. I was wondering what tape you use in it? I am a little worried about what tape to use with the monster clay. I finished making a mold from it I just don’t know what tape I need😅
This is probably the easiest way to make a fursuit head
Question...is an Eva foam head less heat retaining than a upholstery foam one?
Can the ears also be made using Eva foam that’s been made to curve with the heat gun? Or is it better to use upholstery foam? My suit will have larger ears and I feel I’d have a had time carving them.
Very smart idea :O
Question: Do you need a head model to sculpt clay on or could you just sculpt out how you want the shape to look? If you do need a head model, would it be okay if one were to sculpt one out of the clay itself and then make the model on it?
Yeah i was wondering that too..
@@naomigwolfe8112 Yeah! I was thinking about doing something like this myself but I was wondering about it :)
@@kenopsiadraws i mean i already made a mini head of clay, but idk how important it is cuz i used quite a bit of clay for the ears and muzzle lol!
Yeah, I bet it does take quite a bit! My mom had bought me some clay but it absolutely sucks so I'm going to go get more sometime soon 😅
@@kenopsiadraws I recommend Fimo soft, (thats what i used) or Sculpey. I have had experience with other clays as well, such as cernit, and decoration clays, and they hold up and color different than those two. Also i recommend getting black or an other dark color since white stains, and fingerprints in the clay wont affect the appearance. lol (not that it matters too much lol)

What would be good alternatives for contact cement? I thought maybe super glue, but that can be brittle.
I don't recommend super glue, it's mostly used for small details, and it would be expensive compared to contact cement
hello !
i was wondering how you consider glasses when doing the clay model
I don't really
Please do a moth one
Good work👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Can sculpting the head first also help with normal foam bases? so I know what I want it to look like in 3d before I make the foam patterns?
Not sure what you mean
Video ist VerY good 🇨🇿🇨🇿🇨🇿🇨🇿🦊🦊👍👍
Soudruh! :DDD xD
Saludos me recomendaste este canal por TikTok..te pregunto si quisiera hacer la cabeza de el Rey Julien de Madagascar cuál sería el precio de los patrones para foam
English please
Thank you for the nice and helpful video! I will check out your patterns later. It seems there is a lot more space compared to using "regular" foam, so I really wonder what you do with the inside to make sure it fits properly and comfortable?
Actually, you show it here :-)
ruclips.net/video/PzpXjksODK8/видео.html
Maybe just add upholstery or any foam in the inside so it fits better!
Nice
Hello! I have a question: does the base need to be made on low density foam? Is there any cons to using high density instead on the overall suit head?
High density is more difficult to shape
@@MugiwaraCosplay ah ok! ty for responding^^
cool
Is the monster clay sample enough clay to make this? What firmness do you use?
I think I use the most soft one
Where did you get your 1/3 head bust? If you can’t remember, what material is it?
What parts need to be cut beveled? The eyes? Your work is amazing!
I know I’m late but it’s probably just any pieces that sit on pieces that are more corner-like (in the example shown, the ridge on the eyebrow), kind of like how picture frames have triangles cut out on the corners for them to fit together neatly
Isn’t a heat gun sorta dangerous? Idk, my dad used to tell me that a lot and that I shouldn’t touch the heated material for a few minutes?
It can be depending on the material! Eva foam cools down quite quickly so it's okay to touch a few seconds later
@@princerovan876 oh Thank you so much!
Ty!!
I know this is posted from a while ago, but how do you go about getting this set up the wear? Like, how would you go about connecting a balclava to this, or bucket head, whichever method. And forming the back of the head?
I show that in this one ruclips.net/video/2jo_mo6GQZY/видео.html
What density of foam is used? I understand its meant to be low density but I can't find any anywhere.
The site where I get mine says: Density code: EVA-45kg
What is that computer app you used? I would like to know.
They are pc softwares called Inkscape and Photoshop
Can you please do a feline next?
I love EVA bases! this tutorial was really helpful. I want to try this in the future!! Question, can this technique work with upholstery foam? Also, how do you actually scale the model up 300 so it's to size, and when taking a photo how do you know if you're not making the pieces smaller or bigger from how you take the picture?
I use a picture editor software to scale it up. And taking a photo of what?
Oh I love this so much ^_^
How much clay do you need for a clay mold? and Where do you get such a small wig head?
Could you also ise this pattern with 1/2” upholstry? Or will it not stay to shape?
I haven't tested and you can't heat shape upholstery foam
Hi! idk if you respond to comments anymore, but how do you know which parts of the patterns need to be beveled? thanks!
I look at the model shape and see where there are sharper edges
Hello can i ask u? can i use hair dryer instead of heat gun?
No, it's not hot enough
Se ve muy tierao la base te quedo fenomenal 10/10
Do you think I could use thinner foam? I don’t have any that thick…
That wouldn't hold the shape well
@@MugiwaraCosplay ah ok
Please tell me where I can get these on a PDF file please I just got my supplies and I need this Head Base for my Fursona, please any help go along way to creating my own Fursona
You can get it here: www.etsy.com/listing/929035898/digital-canine-head-base-template-for
I also share the links in every video description
What kind of tape do you use to pattern the clay head?
I think it’s washi tape
Where can I get that mini head you used? I can’t seem to find it anywhere.
Kazplay sell them on their website! Hope this helps you! :D
@@mrhousee thanks!
What can I use instead of this contact cement/glue? I'm kinda scared of those toxic fumes ://
Sorry, most glues are toxic, and if you use hot glue the base will fall apart when you heat shape it
Can you possibly use hot glue instead?
Not when you are going to heat shape it. It will fall apart when you use the heat gun
This is genius!
what temp should the heat gun be set to?
Mine doesn't show that
I know this is a year old but is the fursuit made of Eva washable?
Oh Great video! I love it :DD but I have a question I guess glue gun woudn't be as good as the glue you're using on EVA? I'm not sure :D lol
Hi guys, do u know what program did he use?
Who?
@@MugiwaraCosplay I believe they are asking what program did you trace your rough mock up with on the computer. I too was wondering the same thing. It looks similar to MS paint, but better.
Does anyone have any pics what this looks like furred?
It's shown here: ruclips.net/user/shortsjvMSuAF2JuU
@@MugiwaraCosplay Looks fantastic! Thank you, I will consider buying soon!
Hi, i wanna buy it but it will come with glue or should i use my own hot glue or super glue? TELL ME PLS!!! I WANNA BUY IT NOW :D
It's only a digital template, there is no physical products on my template shop
do you reckon e6000 would work well for glueing pieces together?
I don't know that type so I can't say
How do you size up the clay middle right without making the head too big/too small ?
Because I already know the scale of the model
is 5 mm EVA foam good enough
No, too thin
Do you think I could get away with not using the heat gun?
I think so it would just be harder, or you'd have to work with thinner foam
If I have a 1/4 base. Do I size it up to 400%?
Yes
@@MugiwaraCosplay what program did you use
I'm a little teeny tiny bit worried, won't the fur be too heavy on the head? I'm really sorry if I insulted you in any way. I was just wondering, because I've never worked with an EVA-Base but I want to use your template for a head and yeah... Do I need some reinforcement structure underneat before furring? Like some sort of thermoplast or smth? It would be really nice if you or somebody out of the community can help :)
It's not too heavy
I wonder if it's possible to do this but without using a clay head model and sizing it because I am trying to make my own fursuit head base and I'm worried that it won't work if I just draw a template on paper and so on.
I bought eva foam and supplies now waiting on money to get my fur among other things and I wanna have the head base down before
You need something to make the template from. If you want to make a base like this (EVA foam) you can't just draw the template on paper. The only other way (if you only want to use EVA foam) would be to buy a finished template
@@MugiwaraCosplay thank u for letting me know that
Maybe a Bat, Bunny, and an Axolotl?
Do you think a skulldog from Bueshangs creations would fit inside of the head base? I know they are bigger than the skulldogs from Dream Vision Creations and Im trying to make a skulldog with a removable face.
I'm sorry but I don't know
@@MugiwaraCosplay Thats okay, I'm sure if its too small I can find a way to make it fit.
Is it alright If I use high density foam with this pattern? I can’t seem to find low density anywhere
I think you could but it will be more difficult to work with and you might have to heat shape the pieces first
@@MugiwaraCosplay alrighty thank you! I’ll definitely be trying out this pattern
What is the name of the application you used to make the mold in real size?please , thanks , if anyone knows and can help me thank you
What mold? There is no mold making or casting in this video
Looks kinda small for end results tbh little concern on those with big heads
I already tested and it fits perfect for a normal adult head size
@@MugiwaraCosplay cool ty tons was a little worried since size look different on the video
Do you have a tutorial here on how to add fur on the mask?
I have a lot of furring tutorials, it's like on any foam base
Now im watching your videos.. nice works. Im a costume maker but i want to learn how to make mascots. Then ive seen your videos..
Do you have fb accounts amigo?
Please check the description for my other social media
hello, simple question (stupid one probably) but, how do you attach it to your head ? with a simple Balaklava? Straps ?
Hoping to get an answer :)
I already have a video about that ruclips.net/video/2jo_mo6GQZY/видео.html
@@MugiwaraCosplay My gosh, I'm sorry, I didn't saw it u_u Last question, how do you fur and put the lining ? Like a normal fursuit head (foam base) or is it different ? Thanks in advance :)
Is this possible with regular, thin foam?
And what is regular, thin foam?
@@MugiwaraCosplay Nevermind, I saw your moth tutorial ":). I was referring to upholstery foam! Keep up the good work!!
What sise of paper did you print it on?
Just standard A4
Oh, ok! I use A3 cause i have big head
Like can we get a tutorial on how u scale the pattern on Inkscape?
There are probably a lot of tutorials here on RUclips on how to use Inkscape
Okay yes I found some! What do u mean by scaling it 300% though?
Making it 300% / 3x times bigger
So, I am gonna make a fursuit head where the head would spin 360 degrees, now I know that all fursuits can do that, but I really want the head to remotely spin. How would I do that?
What do you mean? Just to turn the fursuit around your own head? Because most fursuits do that. I have a suit based on one of mugiwara's patterns and it does it :v
My character is meant to be a demon wolf who spins his head with bone crackling noises uncontrollably
@@masonc5470 most fursuits can do that (minus the bone cracking sounds) so you should be fine! If your fursuit is too tight to turn around then I'd be concerned lol
Ok
