"Bring it on" really nailed it, at least in opinion. It blended the hardcore style of old school "Yakuza" and dubstep/tech for era of Ichiban and Yagami really well, as Gaiden is released in 2023. Just amazing.

Brawler styler = jack of all trades. Rush style= stunlock style also known as the evade the enemy for 60 seconds. Beast style= never bring a gun to a bicycle fight. Dragon of dojima style= combines all styles into one and you feel rad. Thug style= jack of all trades except snapping ones neck isn't enough so you crush them while smiling. slugger style= you love melee weapons but using a bat is your favorite. Breaker style= you saw two guys doing a break dance battle and thought why not use it as a fighting style and scream yahoo! Mad dog of Shimano= combine all styles while using a dagger and you're a speedy demon The funk goes on kawami= you thought majima was following you but it was just a bunch of delinquents trying to fight you. Flirt with bomb= majima caught you everytime you were in a hurry to buy something from the drugstore. Speed star= akiyama is your favorite character and he has the money and the power of rush style. Massive fire= Saijima is your favorite character he's a beast let's hope he doesn't get another prison sentence.
So, is D2A in Y3 a substory theme? It's just that it probably played in that one "oh no, my shoulder is dislocated, pay me" substory and I always thought that D2A is like for yakuza encounters in Okinawa, not just substories.

If you mean the themes that play during conversations, I decided not to do those, as each game has hundreds of these kinds of themes, and I felt it would be too much to include every single game

IMO Y0, Y3, and Y8 have the best street battle tracks. I like Akiyama’s too but Y4 and 5 don’t have the best street battle themes
