@seanbouker that's what I used, blows all of that carbon out, the method I used is to hold the cooler while pressing the nozzle against the holes, while in a circular motion, turn your wrist in circles while holding the cooler as your spraying it, also spraying against a wall where you can see the debris coming g out sp you know it's been cleared in some areas
Rough idle, oil buildup in the air intake, lower mpg, less horsepower... There's one bolt in the back that's a real sob to remove but doesn't honestly need to be there as long as you line everything else up you'll know the one when you find it.... Saves time removing it in the future... The cooler was completely clogged you would spray in some cleaner and it would drip out the other side minutes later.... I bought some easy off oven de greaser and flooded the one side overnight in a bucket and used a power washer to blast the carbon buildup out the next morning.... It basically looks brand-new after saved $400... If you have a Prius/Lexus/Camry/rav4 look up bypassing the exhaust heat scavenger. It's designed to blow the head gasket
@@seanbouker I saw videos about the " death bolt". Almost impossible to access because it's tucked underneath the cooler and there's no space. How long did it take for you take this off?
@@Sagemeister007 it was a committed amount of time, it's absolutely necessary if the egr is clogged there's no shortcut... You don't need to replace it.... I left it off an it saved me a lot of time when I replaced my head gasket the following year... Honestly one of the hoses ended up taking more time to remove.. the short chubby one was a real pain in the back.
Just got mine to free up, took a while, luke 4 days
I tell you if you didn't have a pressure washer it's a hell of an excuse to buy one

What symptoms were caused from the clogged egr cooler? Any info will be greatly appreciated 👍
