I really like "Kate", and I wish there were many seasons. The actress was great in other movies, but I think mysteries would be great for her. I hope she can be the new Jessica Fletcher in Murder she wrote :)

I saw an interview with her where she said she thought she was too young for the role as she was only 23(I think) which is funny because I thought she was in her 30's when this show came out. She is one of those people who look middle-aged already when in their 20's .....
No, she is not looking middle-aged, but she has a low and quite assertive voie, and her face looks wise too. For many years, she looked like she was not changing at all.

The husband's too nervous, he's the killer. Arthur's the killer too, with pipe's smoking doctor's help, and Kate's daughter isn't as innocent as she seems. There's only one YELLOW Mercedes-Benz in the entire States... too easy
I think perhaps it started out that way... .but the producers distanced themselves from making this connection and references were taken away. So.... nope! For example the dog disappeared and the famous cigar, so I just enjoy the show on its own.. Though I totally loved the show Columbo too!
