La realeza tiene guardaespaldas a 5 cm de ellos no no sé cómo no reconocéis que aunque estén trabajando, la Guardia Real representa uno de los mayores atractivos turísticos de la ciudad. Además hay muchísimos vídeos de la guardia Real donde continúan haciendo su trabajo no hablan hacen esos “pasos” por llamarle de alguna manera, pero son educados. En mi tierra se dice que “lo cortés no quita lo valiente” y quizás valiente lo sea, pero la cortesía aún no se la han presentado. Definitivamente es soberbio y no es más que un súbdito. Esa es mi humilde opinión.

When the UK is in wartime, they will be outfitted with current battle uniforms and live ammunition.

I mean one of the primary reasons they keep these guards in their traditional attire & such is because it promotes tourism. The royal family brings an enormous amount of tourism based revenue into the UK. So while they are still real soldiers, they sort of are there for people's amusement.

A mini documentary was done last summer about just this problem.
Apparently, the men, (and women), when they know their rotation to serve is near, and they just absolutely hate it because of the lack of respect shown by the tourists. The tourists push every button on the list to get a reaction from the guards. And the horses, oh, my word, it's only due to the excellent training they receive as well as the way the horse and rider are together that has saved one of those tourists from being killed.
So, the next time you are in London Towne to see the sights, please remember to show se respect to the men and women in uniform. They are just doing their jobs under sometimes stressful conditions.
