- Another early start and cold morning, with Avanti West Coast's 805001, dragged to Oxley on 02/02/2023, running under its own power on a test run from Oxley to Glasgow Central and back. The unit is seen here stopping briefly at Platform 6 at Crewe, before continuing north.
Great Video! I do like the new trains but I hope don't feel the best about the voyager's retirement. Add to the fact that the voyagers still have a bit of the VT livery and not the complete avanti one.
Will Class 805 Avanti West Coast Get Her Livery like Her Big Sister: Class 221 Voyager Avanti West Coast?
Eventually they'll have a livery similar to the pendolinos and voyagers yes, not sure when exactly that will be though.
What's the difference between these and the all the other class 800's? Looks exactly the same
803 /5 is all electric only the others are diesel and electric hitachi trains the biggest diesel are the 810 class 801/2 have slightly smaller diesel engines LUMO for example from London to Scotland is all electric no diesel class 803
@@Kandlelite ok now i understand 😃
The 805s will be bi-mode but I believe the 807s are electric only
These will cost a fortune to travel on.
I believe that although the trains look the same, the seating can be different as the train operator has to opt for the type of seating. For example, the GWR Class 800s have been criticized a lot, but if avanti choses to get better seats then I believe that would be better.
Ahyes, a Class 80x for Avanti
Surely First loves to buy Hitachi trains lol
Also the seats are actually the same as those with Pendolinos
They’ve all got those trains now TPE one 397 is my favourite I wish more had chosen that one shame
Really
That's great ,have heard that the GWR class 800s don't have the best of seats.
