    Could you explain me how can we find point A, B so on from our machine, pleas?

    Very interesting . My own job involves the alignment of long (30 mts +) textile machinery where we look for accuracy of + - .004 " for bearing seatings. Anyone else involved in similar work and what methods they use ?

    When I first found this I was so excited. But the deeper i go the more contradictions I read about in the comment. Now, you don’t reply to comments and the reason is evidently not because they are many. It would be helpful if you replied to the contradictions and justified yourselves. You could name which method (source of method by name even) you are using and why. Even just appreciating the feedback would be better. Now I have trust issues cause I’m not sure you’re authentic.

    something is seriously wrong here . you changed the location of auto level 3 times and it would change the height of instrument so how can u then compare all these level together???

    • @Groenie1000
      @Groenie1000 8 лет назад +15

      +Har Oon when you move the instrument you take a back sight to the peg you already surveyed, now subtract the two readings and you have the difference n height when the instrument was moved

    I find this really confusing. Why is Dave moving around to get the readings? Why hasn't the Booking Run sheet been discussed?

    Absolutely unacceptable and awful! One setup is all you needed. Having more setups just adds possible error. Why doesn't the helper have a circular level on the rod also... rookie ass stuff here. Never follow these procedures.

      Agreed that error comes in but think of it this way and the helper not having a circular level on his rod. However, you need several setups to level run between two monuments to set up control for a stretch of road. Most cities and towns do not make it easy to level when their monuments are far apart and can take quite a long time walking in-between.

      Obviously in this backyard 1 position is all that's needed.... The video is describing how to book a levelling run. Imagine if the points they took were on 4 corners of a building... You would NEED to move the instrument at least once to get all the measurements. This video is purely for demonstrating HOW to do that if and when needed. Nothing rookie here at all.
