So I used to mod this game in my free time, and here is some interesting stuff I picked up: 1. The Phase 1 Clone commander you mentioned is much darker than the clone sharpshooter allowing them to be easily differentiated. He also exists in Battlefront 1 as an alternative to the Heavy trooper. 2. Gisro Delso, the Geonosian boss in the campaign mission "Tying up on loose ends" Uses a different model than the other geonosian units. This model does not display the wings on the character when he is not flying. So if you ever get confused on which on is Delso, look for the one without wings. 3. There is an unused yellow Naboo Pilot unit in the game files, this character would likely have appeared in the campaign level "Imperial Diplomacy" and would have likely spawned along side the naboo guards (red), and naboo Vanguard respectively. 4. A battle field can have up to 6 teams instead of the default 2. Maps rarely go above 3, team three would something like the Ewoks or the Geonosians, and you can have up to 4 native teams. Additionally, native teams are tied to command posts themselves not so much the map itself. Geonosians can only spawn if the CIS controls at least 1 of the two command at the fair ends of the map (the ones they begin with on default). 5. Any unit can be used as a hero and vice versa. 6. The Empire has battle chatter in response to all 3 of the other factions, this is because of the campaign, but they work on other maps if you make such a battle occur. 7. Reward Weapons, after you permanently unlock them, can be switched back to normal by switching class at a CP and selecting the same unit you are playing as. Only works for primary weapons. 8. Units can hold up to 8 weapons instead of the 4 we see at most. Secondary and primary weapons are the same in the files and are interchangeable. It is a special line of code that tells the game to put the weapon in the secondary space (aka the grenade space). 9. The Hero kneeling effects can be enabled and disabled in the unit files, however, the team hero will always kneel when defeated, this only applies to the unit if they are used in a non-hero position. 10. There is a script for Jabba's Palace Hunt. This script is unused but has rebel engineers battle the Gamorian guards of jabba's palace. This script works however it is very difficult for the rebels to win, even more so than any of the other hunt missions. 11. The Ackley, the giant creatures on Fuleica during the campaign can be assigned to a unit slot and controlled by the player. In some cases these creatures get stuck at CP when spawning, but it can be done. 12. The Sniper Jet Trooper variant used in the campaign "Changing of the Guard" cannot actually use his jetpack. There is a single command blocking it. So there is twelve more lesser known BF2 facts from a modder. Hope this is interesting to some people.
Im pretty sure theres a hunt mode in felucia where Droids battle the Acklays, but I dont remember what version of the game it is, or even if its on the Vanilla game.
@@RaladorDeQueijo There is a hunt Felucia in the mission req folder (the folder that tells the game to acknowledge scripts). However the script itself does not exist. If it does, it's not in a playable or even recognizable format. I've made a mod that adds a hunt to Felucia, but I made the script from scratch; and mine used clones instead of droids.

It’s funny to hear someone talk about the recruit squad members mechanic not having a tutorial. It didn’t need one - when the game came out, we got that info from the instruction manual, haha
The lack of map specific clone trooper variations always bummed me. And stuff like the commander being a galactic marine also didnt make sense to me. Thankfully there are plenty of mods now that change this!
I think the reason for not have clone legion skins tied to maps was campaign limitations. The idea is you’re playing as the same unit through all those missions. They’d have to write skin override code for campaign exclusive maps AND create movie appropriate legion skins for default maps played outside campaign. Probably doable, but definitely would require more work/time, and as I understand it, the team was on a tight schedule anyway and the clone legions had not blown up in popularity yet because RotS hadn’t come out yet
I did never notice that the Rebel soldier has 3 different camos. Another fact is that you can play the Campaign missions in coop / versus in online mode, by loading the campaign level via the in game console... If I remember correctly

The dlc can actually be played on PC, some modders "ported" it. Also, the red ARC trooper having red armour isn't a problem. The colours on phase 1 armour originally signified rank, rather than legion or unit, so a red-armoured ARC trooper would be a captain, just like a regular red-armoured clone-trooper (except that since ARCs were a special unit, ARC captains technically outranked regular ones). That said, a commander would have to have yellow armour (as seen in AotC), but it was of a different tint to that of clone pilots (which were, ironically, mostly lieutenants). Also, there were no ARC commander clones (as far as i remember), just a handful of captains and lieutenants (blue armoured ARCs). Since they were special units, they answered directly to regular commanders and generals (jedi or not jedi). Oh yeah, and rebel snipers (and i think engineers or smugglers) also have several camo variants.
One of my favorite games as a kid/teen but admittedly two of my only complaints were in regard to the DLC maps and clone armor. All those DLC maps were beloved from the original 2004 game yet they got dropped in favor of planets that no one was scrambling for (i.e., Polis Massa) and were only available via one game console. Clone armor is more of a nitpick but I wish they had been a little bit more cosmetically consistent with the same 501st color scheme and better choices for armor plus giving the Commanders a Phase 1 variant. Other than that, only other real complaint I have about a game I still love is that the AI in space battles is wonky (i.e., if you try landing a transport on an enemy ship to be a mobile spawn point, if you don't land in a certain manner any AI that spawn in will try piloting the ship and will subsequently crash it into a wall).
@@DISTurbedwaffle918 If playing as Republic against CIS best workout around was to land on the stairs of their ship leading to the various internal systems. Something about it being at an angle tricks the AI into not trying to enter and crash.
I love how Ventress had nunchuck sabers and man, I wish they brought them to canon. I miss having fellow soldiers following me in the new game, the feature was also in the first game too and it's super useful
Something I remember: The clone commander originally had a different color pallet in the demo inluded in the holiday 2005 PS2 demo disk. Originally the boots, gloves, and facemask were black instead of white.
For Classic BattleFront 2 when your doing hunt on Hoth you don't want to recruit any other Wampas because if your in a squad of 2 or more you would be hitting and hurting each other more often then your enemies because the Wampas has a huge arm reach and they have a wide arm sweeping arcs
The weak point for the Snail tank had 2 actually. If you aim for the side near the guns that is a major weak point in the revenge of the Sith a Wookie placed a thermal detonator before jumping off and killing the droid driver inside.
I still play this game on my Xbox series X, I freaking love this game, I remember getting this game back in 2005 when it came out on ps2, so I was extremely grateful for this game to have been avaliable on Xbox
I remember when I discovered General "command" features and special blasters ! Like a new game for me at the time ahaha And yeah.. the lack of specific clone skin related to planets was disapointing... especially compared to rebel skins as you said. Mygetoo trooper always anoying me !
You've reminded me of something! You can slice enemy vehicles and hijack them. You do it with the engineer's repair torch (completely forgotten the name). Just get close enough to a vehicle and success will kick the enemies from inside (won't work in command post vehicles). The Ai Itsrlg will try this and it is really confusing when it happens.

Cause this was back in the day that; if you made a game it was all or nothing cause once you were done, you were done. You can't download content to a disk and you typically had to make a disc 2 for any extra content cause sometimes the game would just be too big. Alternatively, if the game was THAT BAD, you'd either leave it for the future idiots to find it in 20 years or remake the game entirely and re-release it as a different version. Couple that with the fact that most people in that age of gaming wanted to make something fun and enjoyable, rather than caring only about money and thinking of the profit a game would make them. So you'd have companies who'd spend over 2 maybe 3 years on a game in an all or nothing shot to see if they can make a fun playable game that people will like and they typically turned out really good. Even some games that were made in less than 5 months for the release of a movie or sometimes a show to increase hype are be better than some of the games we get now. Nowadays, we have shitty game companies who could care less about the fans they serve and make us wait up to several years for a half-finished game with little to no content and gameplay we've seen been done by 30 other games. Despite that though they're still ballsy enough to add microtransactions with an overabundance of weapon skins and character models to keep players googly eyed at the fancy colors, which gives them something else to talk about for another month. Meanwhile the devs do pretty much nothing to fix the game until players start getting annoyed with the performance of the game again, so they do the bare minimumand expect us to be satisfied. Unless ofc it's a fun glitch and they gotta get rid of it as fast as possible cause it's a glitch and it's making the game fun and they can't have that. But Lando who's been able to fire the full power of the fucking sun for TWO DLCS nah leave that in I'm sure no one would ever abuse that.
Another less know fact: Darth maul is the only character that has 2 base attack combo. The alternate can be done by keeping the attack button pressed after the 3rd (or maybe 4th) attack
I always thought the reason why the Clone Commander didn’t have (or use in this case) a phase 1 model was because it didn’t exist in Battlefront 1. As from what I can tell the phase 1 models used when playing on Genosis: Dust Plans are reused from Battlefront 1. Which includes the Jet Trooper as it was the only special unit the clone army had in that game.
The Hoth hunt was a reference to a deleted scene from Empire Strikes back where the rebels were supposed to battle a group of imperial controlled Wampas.
That dlc is actually a lie and true because it's only tied to one specific map and not all of it isn't on there. And yes I did buy it and there's only one map from the original Xbox game.
I definitely knew that I can get my hands on the Xbox DLC on modern Xbox consoles, in which I already have funny enough, but that’s just me who absolutely loved playing the heck out of this particular game since its original release.
Yeah, I didn't like the Clone skins being from different legions/battalions... The only 501st clones are the Clone Trooper, Jet Trooper and Clone Marine.
@@taten007 Because it was stupid. Painting Phase I armored clones like officers was also wrong. - Jet Trooper - Sergeant - Sharpshooter - Captain - Pilot - Commander What was the logic here? All Phase I Clones should've had all-white except for the Officer Class and ARC Trooper. Or all of them could have had blue striped armors as the 501st legion. (I'm not sure if Phase I armor was painted other than the officer insignias.) ARC Troopers should've been switched to standard Heavy Clone Troopers at this point.
It’s crazy cus I was just playing Battlefront 2 on the PSP and I ran into Asajj Ventress on one of the maps super randomly during galactic conquest. Was wondering if it was an inquisitor but it didn’t make sense because the inquisitors didn’t exist yet when this game came out

Not too sure, all I knew is that he was meant to be in place of Commander Neo's model in Order 66 until he got replaced. So I think he would have been a commander with an order 66 scene somewhere.

You didn't mention the most OP thing after my beloved shotgun plus bacta class: The veterancy medal for reparing vehicles was auto repair vehicles!!! You literally didn't have to leave the AT-AT. Barring tow cables it was invulnerable.
The Xbox DLC is available as a direct ported mod on PC. I think it's something like Battlefront 2 Xbox DLC mod. It's NOT the conversion pack as they is not a direct port and the maps and heros function differently than the DLC.
after so many years of playing (i have no idea how many) i've only unlocked the beam rifle, i tend to play way too recklessly so i die pretty fast. i was really surprised thought when i got it, i probably still have it unlocked on my PS2 save, but i wouldn't know as i don't have a scart TV anymore...

I saw your RUclips short on this topic. Couldn't believe it. Need to search it up
Like two squad feature or medals had no idea
I played bf2 religiously as a kid. I knew everyone single one of these. I'd spend hours playing bf 2.
Mines get criticals on AT-AT's; they need to step on them but four will take down one.
They could have just used the actual clone commander color. Yellow. Same makings as the other colored phase 1 clones
@@poolee77 Engineer had yellow if I remember correctly.
@@patchmoulton5438 yeah I think it used the clone pilot helmet right? Kinda a weird choice
Played this all the time with my dad growing up.
Now we play the DICE's Battlefront II all the time. Definitely a childhood game for me.
The Hoth hunt was a reference to a deleted scene from Empire Strikes back where the rebels were supposed to battle a group of imperial controlled Wampas.
I played as the Droids and decimated the Gungans on Naboo whenever I went through a breakup. lol
That dlc is actually a lie and true because it's only tied to one specific map and not all of it isn't on there. And yes I did buy it and there's only one map from the original Xbox game.
5: I remember that on console version (at least ps2) a blue shadow will appear over vehicles weak points while playing as a heavy soldier
I definitely knew that I can get my hands on the Xbox DLC on modern Xbox consoles, in which I already have funny enough, but that’s just me who absolutely loved playing the heck out of this particular game since its original release.
God knows how many hours ive put into this game and I NEVER knew about the DLC or Vehicle weakpoints
Half these “lesser known” facts are genuinely known by everyone
Yeah, I didn't like the Clone skins being from different legions/battalions... The only 501st clones are the Clone Trooper, Jet Trooper and Clone Marine.
Why not?
@@taten007 Because it was stupid.
Painting Phase I armored clones like officers was also wrong.
- Jet Trooper - Sergeant
- Sharpshooter - Captain
- Pilot - Commander
What was the logic here?
All Phase I Clones should've had all-white except for the Officer Class and ARC Trooper.
Or all of them could have had blue striped armors as the 501st legion. (I'm not sure if Phase I armor was painted other than the officer insignias.)
ARC Troopers should've been switched to standard Heavy Clone Troopers at this point.
Phase I armors were also painted wrongly.
Ha, throwback. I forgot about the upgraded weapon unlocks 🔥
It’s crazy cus I was just playing Battlefront 2 on the PSP and I ran into Asajj Ventress on one of the maps super randomly during galactic conquest. Was wondering if it was an inquisitor but it didn’t make sense because the inquisitors didn’t exist yet when this game came out
What the heck?! I never knew this had DLC I played this game so much as a kid and never knew
I'm surprised at how much of this I knew. This game was ahead of its time. Very similar to Halo in structure the more I look at it
Me: Get in the vehicle
Get in the vehicle
Get in the vehicle
Get in the vehicle
Get in the vehicle
*My NPC ally runs to me and just stares at my vehicle*
Stamina recover is on by default, you just get a faster version with the award
2:05 huh. I didn’t know much about that mode. Never played it before.
the game we all deserve NOW
I knew all of these until the very end- I had no idea that the Clone Engi was based on a cut design from Episode III. Do you know what role/scene the troopers would've been a part of?
Not too sure, all I knew is that he was meant to be in place of Commander Neo's model in Order 66 until he got replaced. So I think he would have been a commander with an order 66 scene somewhere.

The npcs that fight on your team will automatically follow you if you’re at a high enough level and rank. I noticed this the one day I looked at a dude crouched down next to me and was like uhhhh then I hit the follow me button and it said move out then he breaks a unspoken formation lol
Good video👍 I never had DLC content. The career medal menu I could never do the one for the Trooper with the rocket launcher.
I knew all of that, but that's probably easy after having over 150 hours😂
The medal features are explained on PS2, it's easy to notice.
I feel like I’m being gas lighted
Sadly none of this may come to light ever since Pandemic Games was bought out by EA. I miss this game man
I miss 2005 😔
You didn't mention the most OP thing after my beloved shotgun plus bacta class:
The veterancy medal for reparing vehicles was auto repair vehicles!!!
I never played the DLC, because PS2. So when I bought the game on Xbox, you I was shocked and happy Rhen Vhar maps where in the game.
I'm proud to say I knew all of these.
I remember on ps2 the shotgun and sniper upgrade rewards not working even after getting the required kills and switching weapons?
this video is literally "I bet you didn't know about this thing that the game quite literally tells you about constantly"
That deserves a Follow😮
The only fact i already knew about was that you can recruit your own squad.
after so many years of playing (i have no idea how many) i've only unlocked the beam rifle, i tend to play way too recklessly so i die pretty fast. i was really surprised thought when i got it, i probably still have it unlocked on my PS2 save, but i wouldn't know as i don't have a scart TV anymore...
I didn't know there was DLC! But I had it on the PS2 so I guess that makes sense
0:30 a simple mod restores this on PC too!
Asajj ventress and kit fisto was also available for the psp version
Only ones I didn't know were the DLC and the special skins. The rest I knew from years of playing.
18 year old game and i am just today learning it had dlc. modders ported it to pc and yeah it goes hard
The manual of Battlefront 1 showcased a red arc trooper with a DC 15 ... cheeky turds at Lucas Arts back then lol
This video is funny because I already knew all this
Didn't know about the DLC!
I don't know why the Xbox DLC never (officially) came to PC, especially after all these years.
always hated the permanent reward guns
