Hi Ed, what's up? I've been think about where to ask this, and then I though about coming here. I just recently bought a new mic that needs phantom power, and while recording I noticed that the signal from the Roland RD-2000 is also affected by it. If I have the phantom power on, the Roland signals get a clipping effect if I bring the master volume knob up more that 1/4; on the other hand, if the phantom power is off, the signal is compeltely fine. Isn't this weird?
Is it possible to use this configuration with an iPad? I would like to use my iPad as an external sound device for the keyboard with the sound still coming through the keyboard.
Great.. but if i have a roland rd 2000, im not gonna run mainstage on it coz the roland rd 2000 sounds alone are great. No need for mainstage sounds 😀.. im a rd 800 user.. and i only use mainstage, on my controller keyboard
@@weightlossandlife917 Jade is correct and what he said has nothing to do with what you said... which is only half-correct. There will always be real keyboards made (do you really think the top end keyboards will go away for all MIDI controllers and apps?) and those with a keyboard as nice as the RD2000 would almost certainly have no use Mainstage. Please educate yourself before making blanket statements to avoid looking foolish in the future.
hi I watched this video and read manual very cafully and did just like that to use RD-2000's Audio Interface output. But I cannot select RD-2000 in front menu of Mainstage screen. Where can I get help about this. I cannot find appropriate menu in Roland Hompage(Www.Raland.com) Plz help me..
I followed all the steps in the video but my MainStage nor kontakt will not see the Roland as Audio interface. Mac M1 chip and OS Big Sur. Any suggestion please..
This would be helpful if it actually included how to hook up a keyboard AFTER making a concert. I have a concert made, and am trying to now connect the keyboard through the MIDI. None of your instructions actually help with that. I have all the correct settings and did everything you said, but I still have no connection to the concert I created through the keyboard. So, not helpful.
Thank you for this tutorial
This function work out on Rd-800?
How do you add MIDI plugins and have the plug-ins play through the RD-2000?

@@stanleytomczak340 not yet.... (sad....)
Am I missing something? my.roland.com/products/rd-2000/downloads/ only appears to have firmware drivers for the RD2000... no computer drivers.
You are missing something. They are all there.
